OOC: Just a quick question. Can you move four times your movement if that is all you do or just twice your movement?

Re: Zar'Da vs. a Minotaur

Seeing the minotaur squeeze out of the tunnels Zar'Da gulped loudly, his heart racing for the battle yet to come. He noticed the size of the beast and it's weapon and decided the aura he had activated would be ineffective. With a thought the green glow turned to red and he moved around the lava pit in the middle.
"Come on then beast, let us get this over with."

Re: Zar'Da vs. a Minotaur

Seeing the monster come around the corner Zar'Da placed his shield in front of him, leveled his sword and rushed at the beast. The dragon shaman stumbled on a loose bit of stone and came to a halt in from of the minotaur. He suddenly felt very bad about this fight.

Re: Zar'Da vs. a Minotaur

Round 5: When the young half-drow stormed forth the minotaur brought down his axe all too eagerly hoping to spill some blood. Perhaps it was Zar'Da's ill timing that saved him from a deep gash, but when the large creature sliced through the air with his greataxe again, he hit nothing but air once more...

Re: Zar'Da vs. a Minotaur

Zar'Da ducked under the swing of the massive weapon then righted himself, his shield firmly in front of him and his sword slightly behind his body. The dragon shaman uncoiled with a massive crossways slash, the sword spurred on by the potion he drank earlier and the gift granted him by his scaly mistress.

Re: Zar'Da vs. a Minotaur

Round 6: The Minotaur staggered under the harsh blow, stabilizing his stance by putting a hooved food behind him. A deep gash was left on his torso, causing him to roar in pain and anger. The half-cattle-kin saw the world through a red haze in his rage and brought his axe down in a vicious arc of retaliation...

Re: Zar'Da vs. a Minotaur

Zar'Da grunted loudly from the massive hit he took. Deciding to stand his ground the dragon shaman quickly pulled down the scarf covering his dark face and opened his mouth. A line of acid sprayed forth from a small glad that had developed under his tongue, one of the many gifts granted to him from his mistress. While the minotaur was distracted by the acid Zar'Da retreated around the lava pit in the middle of the chamber.(OOC: one more hit like that last one and this is going to be a REALLY quick match :))

Round 6: Flinching at the sting of acid the minotaurus watched his enemy flee. He did not understand the concept of flight and followed the smaller one. Making use of his extraordinary reach he brought his axe down in an overhead chop, hitting Zar'Da and hitting him hard!

    * Other Points of Interest  The arena boundaries are the map edges, 35' above ground level, and 15' below ground level.
    * Ceilings are 10' high in corridors, 20' high in rooms and chambers, and 30' in the main central chamber.

Re: Zar'Da vs. a Minotaur

I'm sorry, the dice roller was just way too kind with the Minotaurus, I just wish I'd have that kind of luck with my PC-rolls... *sighs*

Perhaps you should have tried to harass him from a distance for a while. He cannot move well in those narrow tunnels. Also you did not take his 10ft reach into account. Next time you'll have more luck. :)

Give me a yell when you would like another match.

Re: Zar'Da vs. a Minotaur

That's ok. I thought I might be able to hit and run for a little. I was going to try and go up the wall but it just hit too hard. Maybe I might try and take something on with two of my three characters. Thanks:)
