Re: Supers registration office.

With everything that was happening, he was glad that he was able to reschedule.  The rest of the day he was sure would be hectic.

He was dressed sharply, professionally, standing outside and looking at the capital building that held the Mayor's Office.  Running a few fingers through his hair he gives a low breath, adjusting the 'Vash the Stampede' style glasses that he had picked up in his travels over the last few months.  The last time he was at this place, they were planning to make a drop to payoff a group that Paragon later killed.  Cracking his knuckles nervously he heads up the steps.

While he was rescheduling his Registration for earlier, he was also finally doing his homework on himself.  While not warrants, NASA and a few other orginizations seemed to still be looking for him.  Thankfully he was able to keep information from them through the IRS with him working for Don Derring.  Or maybe they simply just hadn't learned from taking down Elliot Ness.

Walking into the office he heads the way the signs direct him, looking for the desk he was supposed to check in at for this registration process.

Ultimately of them all, he figured he was the one that could vanish quickly without affecting much of his life if this was a trap.  With Don being a member of Legacy, there was no way to know how the standing of Legacy had changed after all.

Re: Supers registration office.

There is a small group waiting in the building but it is obviously a small turnout. When Hotwire arrives an obviously overworked secretary escorts him into a seprate office. In the office are two millitary types a dark haired young caucasian man slim but obviously still in shape and an asian woman who in fact looks more physically capable than her counterpart.

Re: Supers registration office.

Looks were always deceiving, and it seemed to be a larger turn out than he was expecting to see.  Besides, it was still early, most people probably had jobs or had late night lives and jobs that let them stay a little late.

Entering the room he remains outwardly relaxed but senses were already seeking out the familiar circuitry of the building, ready to high tail it out of there at a moments notice.  Fingers slowly twitching he looks over each person, fidgeting with his shades from time to time.  He takes a seat rather quickly, even before it's offered and does a good job at looking physically relaxed.  He knew what he was doing here was risky.  But as he would explain it to the others, this was a chance for him to really do something with his life.  Taking a breath he nods, removing his sunglasses allowing the emerald green center of his eyes and slightly brighter veins to be seen.

"So how do I go about doing this?"

Zeeks phone buzzs.

Assuming that he picks up.  "Zeek?  It's Helena.  I need you to trace Dons cell phone. I need to know where he is."

Both turn and the man takes a seat behind the desk "Hello,I'm airman first class Jared Spark, codename photon and this is Corporal Mia Averton. We represent Team Z a group of parahuman soldiers the government has brought together to protect U.S. interests. This interview is mainly a formality as we obviously know who you and your comrades are, but we'd like to extend an invitation to you and your comrades to Sponsor the Legacy as the official protectors of Weston and the surrounding area."

Re: Supers registration office.

Nodding and relaxing slightly he cracks his knuckles slowly.

"Good to meet you all.  I can't talk for the rest of them, but if you're looking at trying to put a team together with the others here, I'm all for being sponsored.  I'm not so naive to think I'm the only person with the knowledge I have, but there is only so much I can do with the facilities I have now.  And I wouldn't mind doing my part to help the public and private sectors without wearing the spandex.  All in all, never really been much of a field opperative."

Pausing just a moment he sits up slightly, tilting his head to the side.

"So...  why break up a team?  I was figuring the move to arrest Don was to railroad him into leading some other team.  But if you're wanting us to be the official protectors or whatever.  What's the deal?"

Re: Supers registration office.

"Actually we didn't even know about that until they had already arrested him. From what we know the case was closed, but was reopened due to a new witness showing up and someone putting pressure on the mayor. We were hoping to give him a hand with his defense or even his sentencing, we all know its a bad idea to put a vigilantie in prison, but his escape kind of complicates things."

Re: Supers registration office.

"He generally does.  When did this witness show up?  Any idea who put the pressure on the Mayor?  I never really liked coincidences and we just stepped in a bit of a hornets nest recently.  Wouldn't hurt to start trying to cross out suspects, or put a little healthy paranoia to rest.  And of course I'll pass on the invitation to the rest of the team.  We have a meeting after this interview.  Also, you wouldn't happen to have any information on the guy that attacked Manhattan yesterday, would you?  Again, paranoia.  I've seen damage like that before.  Not quite to that scale but a little too familiar for my liking."

Zeke mentally relaxes now, getting a bit more comfortable in his chair, resting his arms on the arm rests.  Looking between the four people in the room.  Dropping more and more of his attitude as he starts to trust these people.

"The witness showed up about a week ago the pressure on the mayor was put on more recently. So far we know very little about the attack in manhattan the guy pretty much showed up out of nowhere, We'll be sure to pass on any information we find."

Re: Supers registration office.

Nodding in understanding he thinks on that slowly.  He could search phone records, money transfers, police logs, now he knew where to start looking.  The witness being a week ago didn't seem quite right for his theory, but maybe it wasn't connected.  His serious face slowly becomes a bit like a kid that just won a shopping spree... within reason of course!... at a candy store.

"So, what kind of facilities and resources are we talking about here?  To help me better mankind through technology."

He wasn't here representing Legacy after all, he signed up as Ezekiel Urban without giving any indication he was Hotwire or a member of Legacy.  They obviously knew who he was, so it didn't seem there was much need to beat around the proverbial bush.  What they could do or provide for the team felt better gone over with the team in attendance.

"Fair enough.  Is there anything I need to sign or what else do I need to do?  And when would it work for me to speak with your superiors?"

He remains relaxed, taking this all in.  This was really happening.

Mirage shook her head at the media circus that was going on outside the Mayors office.  Heroes coming in to register was big news.  She had changed back into her Lane Summers look, the perfect disguise to use to find out all about the registration that the Mayor was offering.

"Well Lucas.  It's your show.  How do you want to proceed?"

Lucas replied, "Well...I would like to find out a little more about the terms and conditions of registration and what all it comes attached with. I can't help but think that a lot of actions are going to be based on how The Legacy reacts to this..."

Reading over the papers quickly and thoroughly, his speed reading coming into play, being satisfied he signs the papers, setting the pen down.

"I guess I should talk with the others before I speak with your superiors.  It'd be better to let them know who else they'll be dealing with I guess."

Re: Supers registration office.

His eyes light up ever so slightly, enough that for a few seconds there's the slightest aura of light about them.  Closing his eyes he winces internally.  The glow still evident on his eyelids.

"Sorry.  Give me anything physically and I can tell you how to make it better in a few seconds.  But for the life of me I can't figure out how to turn the damn light option off for the phone."

Slipping his sunglasses back on he opens his eyes again, a bit of a smile flowing over his face.

"You've kept up with Machinesmith's projects then.  I can't wait to see what's been done with them."

Standing he stretches slowly.  This was going to be the start of something.  He could feel it.

"Is there anything else then for us to cover?"

"Then let's see if we can't get you some of your answers." Lane Summers, freelance reporter, said.  She walked up to a desk and asked for some information on the Registration.

"I'm doing a story on the Registration and the heroes responses to it." she offered.  "Who can we speak with to get a little more details about this whole thing?"

Lucas walked up with Lane, posing as either a cameraman or as a bodyguard. He took a look around, getting a feel for the office in general, and to also see if anyone was on the way to get registered.

"Some of them, we figure he's squirreled away some of his projects in various caches across the country." The man looked up at his silent companion and looked back to Hotwire. "No I don't think so your free to go, do your thing...I guess."

Re: Supers registration office.

"Maybe I'll be seeing you folks around then."

Standing he adjusts his jacket slightly.  He certainly cleaned up well for this interview.  A check to be sure his shades are in place and he's heading out of the office, back out into the hallway.  Sending a message to the rest of the Legacy members to let him know that he was heading for the 'clubhouse' then.

Of course, he'd see two of them on his way out.  Then again it didn't look like they were here in an official capacity, so while he gives them a once over, there's nothing to externally show that he recognizes them.  Outside of a polite nod of recognition.

Re: Supers registration office.

The doors opened and the shadow of a man standing in the door closing his umbrella was visible the flashes of the camera and the sound of the reporters asking varies super heroes questions could be heard outside along with the sound of the falling rain. When he walked into the registration office he was fully visible he was roughly 6'0 at his full height he took off his old fashioned mafia styled hat his black hair was slicke back. His skin was rather pale but it seemed to heighten the color of his crystal blue eyes under his long dark blue trench coat was finely made gray three piece suit with a black tie and black dress shoes.

He scanned the office and stared at the front desk he walked casually towards observing the room and all the people in it making mental notes making the room an permenant imprint in his mind. He kept count of the steps it took to reach the front desk from the front door. He gave the front desk employee a good smile.
"Hello I am here for the registration where do I start or do I need to sit down and wait for my turn?" he said this in his casual manner not sure of what to expect but was preparing himself for anything.

There are two secretaries in the office. One hands Leo a clipoboard with some paperwork on it. "Pleases fill these out and then we'll call your name when theres and interviewer available." THe other stops and blinks at Lane Summers, plucky girl reporter. "Umm Mr Wiliams is the newly appointed head of parahuman affairs. His office, is that one." She points to one of the four offices behind her. "There are som millitary people in that office. buuut I don't know if they'd do any interviews."
