  Meg said quietly "I already have it, Bill.  Hells, you know I had it set up so I could work as a masseuse and do some healing on the side?  Well, I got a client who made me an offer I couldn't see refusing.  One treatment, for two billion dollars."

Bills jaw dropped. "Two...billion?! Wow Meg thats amazing!" Looking to Darren. "Well looks like that's decided."

  Darren looked floored too, and said "Yeah, she's got us covered, love.  Holy shit!"

Lucas came to Derring Condos with Meg's cell phone. He then knocked at the door, hoping she would be home...

  Dragon Fist felt a 'scan' just before the door swung open, letting the scent of french toast and more waft out.  "Come in, Lucas."

Lucas walked in to Meg's apartment.

"Hello Meg...I'm sorry to disturb you...but I needed to return this to you..." he said, handing her the cell phone.

  Meg said "AH!  There's my cell phone!!  I couldn't find it, after the last  . . .  two days?  Gods, it feels like it's been longer.  Possession is no fun.  Thank goodness I got bugged with most of the other NADs.  Do you have one of Zeke's bugs yet, Lucas?"

"Um...no, I'm afraid I don't have one of Zeke's bugs...I wasn't even aware of that he had a project like that..."

  Meg nodded, and said "You need bugged then.  Bill, Darren, you two mind the fort here.  I'll 'bug' you if I need to let you know anything, I know Zeke's crashed, so I'll get Lucas bugged."

Lucas looked somewhat anxious. "Um..how long do you think this might take? See, I have to catch a plane. Friday's in some big trouble...I've gotta get to her....um, I'm sorry. You've been through a ringer the last couple of days...."

  Meg chuckled, and said "It takes about two minutes, but it feels really weird.  What's up that you need to fly?"  As she asked, she escorted him to the balcony, and lifted them both off, soaring off to the new Legacy HQ.

Completely unaware of the goings-on next door, Rodger and Brenda Eskin were quietly discussing their elder son's illness, just outside the two boys' closed bedroom door. Inside, Harold was resting quietly with a book in bed.

Bill watched meg leave with Dragon fist and stood at the window for a while after they were gone. IT was amazing how fast things could change.  Just a cuple weeks ago he was ana verage if slightly nerdy teenager desperately hiding his sexuality form his single father. No different from thousands like him across the world. Now he was the guardian of the planet, a boy with no family and the first openly gay superhero. ITs like things had changed in the blink of an eye.

  Fluid stepped close, and wrapped his arms around Bill.  He said softly "I'd give you an all-over hug, but that might lead us to getting nothing constructive done for a while."

 Bill looked over his shoulder giving Darren a quick kiss on the cheek. "Yeah that would definitely lead to some interesting activities.." Bill looked back out the window. "I don't know waht to do Darren I feel like the weight of the worlds been thrust upon my shoulders , the voice, my predeccessor keeps reffering to weston as my 'training ground' Like the whole world is my responsibility...

  Darren hugged him, and said "Well, maybe you are supposed to help the whole world.  But you can't be everywhere at the same time.  So, learn what all you can do here, then expand.  I'll be your backup.  And your frontup."  He gave Ex a smile, then liquesced to wrap around him in an all-over hug, adding {{I've just got you, and you've got me.  No matter what, I'll be here for you.}}

Bill msiled. "Thank you Darren, it sometimes seems like the whole world is against us, but I love you and you love me, and thats all that really matters"

{{YOu're damn straight I love you.  And I love to make you damn straight . . . }}  There were definite hazards to having a boyfriend made of water, like the fact that he could slide UNDER every stitch of clothing on a body and do things one preferred private!!

Bill chuckled. "weren't we just having a conversation about constructive activity?" He began moving towards the guest room. "Lets get away from prying eyes befoer Meg gets back."

Having finished talking with Brenda, Rodger jotted down a short shopping list of things they wanted to have around if this illness lasted more than half a day. Jell-O, apple juice, ice pops, several different OTC medications. They could just ask Meg to cure it, but, they had reasoned together, that wouldn't help Harold's immune system get much exercise at fighting off infection.

"Now your just stretching for excuses" BIll replied chuckling as he made his way into the spare bedroom and closing the door behind him
