The spirit made his way to the upper levels still invisible  looking for the right place to "drop in"

Hunter moved behind the house looking for a silent point of entry.

  A dog, inside, began to bark furiously.

Now that the alarm had sounded Hunter went for speed rather than quiet smashing a window and climbing in.

The Ghostman let the mortal deal with the dog while he searched for its master.

  Furious barking ensued as Hunter smashed in.  And then the german shepherd leaped toward him, fangs bared.

Hunter sidestepped drawing his sword and stabbing at the passing dog.

  The dog snapped at him, and he felt a pulse in his head, then the dog yelped and whined as it cringed away.

Don frowned as the dog cringed away. "Of course she Tagged along, Keep the doggie back for me honey. " He whispered as he began moving through the house searching for his enemy.

  She did SOMETHING, and the dog whined and lay down on a corner.

Don nodded moving away from the guard and began searching the place.

  He was waiting in the back bedroom, where a pentacle was laid out.

Hunter aimed an arrow at the man in the wheelchair. "What happened to you? I thought you were going to get your life back?"

  His tone was bitter as he said "That was when I had a chance of it.  All hope is gone!!"

DOn stepped forward slowly. "Hope is never gone son why don't you wheel out of the pentagram and we'll talk this over like gentlemen?"

  Quik shook his head, and his tone was still bitter.  "You don't even know.  And you wonder why I hate you so much now?  She's DEAD and you bastards never even NOTICED!!"

SHe who could he be? Of course, that girl that came in right after I talked to him Hunter thought as he eased closer. "I'm sorry to hear that son but thats no reason to throw your life away, do you think this i what she would want?"

  He said softly "She wanted to marry me.  Then she got killed, and you people NEVER NOTICED!!  She died and you DIDN'T EVEN CARE!!"

"We can't be everywhere son. We save who we can when we can. But I learned a long time ago I can't be everywhere."

  A tear crept down his cheek as he said "You battled, and she died, and you never even noticed.  My Laurie died while you fought!!"

as The man cried an invisible figure crept up behind him. The man had loss much like he had but he had turned to evil and there was only one suitable punishment. Turning visible behidn the man he aims his revolver and fires a blast of Ectoplasm.

  He jerked, and then slid, bonelessly, dead, out of the wheelchair.

Hunter barely had time to shout "NO!' As the strange man appeared shooting  Quik dead. Rushing forward he checked for  a pulse Finding none he glared at teh ghostman "Who the hell are you? I was getting though to him damnit!"

The ghostly figure shook his head. "NO you weren't Stalker of Evil. Grief had cuased evil to claim his heart. A threat has been removed Perhaps one day we will meet again." ANd then the fiugre disapeared into thin air.

"YOu'd better hope not" Hunter replied as he picked up  his phone dialing rick
