Jeff walked along, holding Candy's hand. The girl had quite an effect on him as they approached the skating rink.

"Well...here we are..."

  She asked "So, are we going Dutch, or is this a proper date?"

Jeff chuckled at that.

"Well...this is gonna be a proper date..." he said as he held the door for her.

  Candy grinned, and said softly "Thank you.  I'm going to very much enjoy this."  She caught his free hand, that lovely smile just for him.

Jeff nearly melted at that smile, as they made their way into the skating rink.

"Um...two please..."

  She was still smiling as the admissions girl gave him the price, then made change for him, and told him where to go rent the skates.

Jeff glanced over at the smiling Candy as he acquired their skates.

"Have you been skating before, Candy? We used to come here a lot when we were in middle school."

  She admitted "I've been skating before, but not here.  Can you rollerdance?"

"Haven't tried roller dancing," Jeff said, shrugging. "I can usually keep my balance and maybe do just a few tricks."

  Candy grinned, and said "Okay, well, then I'm going to teach you some tricks!!"  She had her skates on in a blink, then she got up, spinning in a circle with ease.

Jeff grinned, obviously impressed.

"Well then...lead on, teacher.." he said as he put his skates on.
