Re: The Builders safehouse

Meg shook her head, and said quietly "Hotwire can probably tell us quite a bit about the technology itself and how it works once he's had some time with the gun."  She didn't mention the fact that he'd sounded almost like a teenager given a large stack of Playboy magazines when she'd let him have it.  She thought that was cute!

Lucas, still on the phone with his Mother, made his way away from the others. This was something that HE had to deal with.

Sorry guys...my family needs me right now...

Re: The Builders safehouse

As the group heads deeper into the complex they find more unconcious guards. Once they reach the basement they find an area with about ten cells surrounding what looks like operating tables. The area is very sterile and in the cells are two thoroughly drugged normallookin gpeople, a man that looks part ram, a woman witha  third arm and a dead gray skinned looking individual the resxt of the cells are empty.

Re: The Builders safehouse

Painter starts looking around, wondering what these people can do.

"Guys, don't let 'em out just yet. Just because they're here, doesn't mean they're innocent. Bertelli hires paras, what's to say that he didn't give them to 'Frankenstein' back there as punishment for failing him? I think this is something else for the cops to sort out, know what I mean? We'll have to keep an eye on it, though, so they don't end up in the para version of Guantanamo. Or Auschwitz."

By the way he was looking at them, it seemed that he really wanted to free these people in his heart, but his head was telling him that that could be a bad idea.

Re: The Builders safehouse

Iris' brows furrowed as she looked around the area, studying the containers. She peeked in at the prisoners in confusion, "But... but this isn't how you run a proper experimental environment. I mean, yeah you've completely shut out any potential variables, but there's no real control. Unless those two are the control. These just aren't academically viable; there's no way to prove that any results are not a fluke or a fake." She muttered, running her fingers over some stray buttons, "I'm going to see if these cells have any technology on them to strengthen against certain potential threats. If they do, then this can tell us a bit about the prisoners. Does that sound good?" She didn't wait for permission and began looking at the paneling and such regardless, "Unless it's a fluke. After all, I don't really have a control."

Lucas made his way to the hospital. The Dark Champion was definitely upping the ante...this time using his family against him....he had to go and find his brother....

Re: The Builders safehouse

"Yeah, I know."

There's a sigh given as he looks to Iris, a bit of a smirk on his lips, looking back down to the arm cannon like a kid who was taken to the toy store that had just been told he could look but not touch.

"Still, it's how I learn.  Sampling technology and this.  Wow.  This is some good stuff you built here."

Turning to the Builder as they walk, there was just that reason for doubt as to why this guy became a hero at all.

"I was wondering?  Are you just really REALLY intelligent or are you able to create matter and tools?  Cause wow... some of this stuff.  It's...  It's..  It's like you came up with the idea for some of this stuff and then invented the raw materials needed just to build the tools to make this stuff.  So that's why I ask are you just really REALLY intelligent or do you have a little extra-super human playdoh to other elements manipulating tricks as well?"

Getting to the cells he shudders a little, but nods slowly in agreement to Painter.

"Yeah, I think it'd be best to let the police handle this, but like you said, keep tabs on them."

Re: The Builders safehouse

"Yeah, definitely. Let's hope they can tell us a little more about the Doc when they wake up. Some firsthand witnesses would be nifty for putting him away. I don't think even Bertelli's lawyers would be able to get out of that. I wonder if we could tie Bertelli himself to this place. Probably not."

After thinking about it for a minute, Painter said, "Ya know, I'm pretty sure this was the kind of shit that the Captain was talking about that he said he could use to get a Special Ops team in here. Think we should go ahead and put out the word to the 5-0, or should we leave The Man out of this for a little longer?"

Meg nodded, and said "I think this definitely qualifies for unlawful incarceration, and might even violate the Geneva Conventions, Painter.  Hotwire, can you put a call in to our friends on the police force and tell them that there are what appear to be kidnapping victims who may have, probably, have been tortured, and one appears to be dead?"

(OOC: Not yet, but I assume they will be, unless someone raises an objection.)

Painter shrugged. He figured Hotwire probably had a more 'inside' connection than just phoning 911 and hoping they believed he was a superhero.

Of course, he could just give them the number on his registration card or something, he guessed.

While still fiddling with the arm cannon, he gives a little nod and puts a call in to the police.  Sometimes having a phone as part of your mind comes in handy.  He was also going through the evidents he picked up from the computer.
