"I know you do, I miss her too, she was an incredible lady. Brilliant though she had her lapses in judgment like all young people do."

  She was still gnawing on her fingers industriously, and she asked him {{What lapses did Mommy have?  She got me . . . .am I a 'lapse in judgment'?}}

"Not completely, HOoking up with your Daddy was one of them But I'm sure no one thought something so wonderful would come out of such a terrible pairing."

  Those dark chocolate eyes watched him as she gnawed industriously on her fingers, and she said {{That's a yes.  Mommy wouldn't be dead yet if she had not had me.  She couldn't take her medicines and things while she waited for me to be born.}}

"There was nothing you could have done about it Diantha, though if your mother had never got involved with your fahter she'd be safe at home too."

  {{Mommy was dying anyway when they beat her to death.  She said the cancer would have eaten her up immediately if it had not gone into 'remission' while she carried me.}}

He was about to reply when the proximity alarms went off.  Moving to the monitor he frowned. "Well it seems like we have company."

Hunter slowly moved through the tunnells searching for hte man that had his daughter.

  The tunnels below Weston were a true labyrinth.  NOBODY had accurate maps anymore.  They would need to proceed with caution!

As father and son made their way through the tunnels they had to deal with avariety of traps everything from pitfalls to falling spikes to even a gator pit. Eventually though they reached a large room set up with  monitors and ther was Michael Gargan Standing hter with Diantha In his hands. "I'd give you a slow clap, but as you can see my hands are full."

  Diantha's comment to the world at large was clear to everyone.  {{Put me DOWN.  Daddy!!   I missed you.}}

"I missed you too babygirl" He had his bow pointed at Michael. "YOu heard the girl put her down, slowly."

  Mr. Hurt was guarding the entrance, since he didn't want any nasty surprises coming up their backs.

ORb SPider smiled. He lowered Diantha but held her over her chest and he leaned his head back a little his neck exposed. "I'm afraid thats not going to happen DOn not unless you kill me. Can you handle that killing inf ront of your own Daughter? Showing her exactly who and what you are?"

  Diantha frowned, and Hunter could see her concentrating.  See how she let her body hang limp as she turned her concentration inward.  Little tiny wisps of faint, dusty crimson smoke rising around the two.

Michael looked down at Diantha as hte smoke started to appear. "What the hell?"

  She was still concentrating, working very hard.  The smoke was thickening visibly.  Don could recognize the signature smoke that Mirage used  . . . but Diantha was summoning it??!

HUnter stepped forward trying to stall Michael to give Diantha time to do whatever she was doing. "Give me my daughter Michael."

"I told you your not getting her without killing me. ANd its MR. Gargan to you."

  Diantha clenched her little fists, and then the smoke swirled.  Covering her, and she (and the smoke!) then disappeared!

As soonas Diantha dissapered DOn loosed an arrow it going deep into Orb SPiders thigh.

MIchael screamed as the Arrow went into his thigh slumping to the ground. "Damnit. YOu took my little girl from me, its only fair the same happens to you."

Hunter stalked over to  Michael "Life isn't fair and your little girl made her choice" WIth that he decked him in the face knocking him out.  HE then called ethan to have a team pick up ORb SPider turning to his fahter he asked. "THink youcan watch him? I've got a little girl that needs to get home."

  He nodded, and said "I'll make sure he doesn't crawl off."

Hunter nodded moving back into the tunnless until he found DIantha Scooping her up in his arms and kissing her on the forehead. "Such a good girl" ANd withtat he headed outside and back home getting a taxi and leaving ht bike for his father.
