Heroes Guild Log 13

Timothius is off at a friend's place studying medicine and sharing exciting peace theories. Or whatever a peacemaker like Tim does, conveniently written out of plot for his player's sake.

Raichel is in the guild and seems to be freshly bathed. Her hair is moist and she smells of someone who washed recently. She is currently laid back in a reclining chair. Her eyelids are closed, but she has her ears open.

(OOC: As an interesting side note, I may work on getting Raichel to have blindsight to reflect her martial arts training. Maybe even a little tremorsense.)

Re: Heroes Guild Log 13

Lucky is there as well, engrossed again in his study and writing.  But the smell of freshly washed woman hair is distracting him.  "Morning, Raichel," he comments, not looking up from his books and such, "How are you doing today?"

Re: Heroes Guild Log 13

Don't let those claims of pet owners lead you astray.  The scent of freshly washed cat is actually quite pleasant...  Of course, perhaps the fact in this case it is the sort you can reasonably take out on a date may have some factor there.  Just maybe.

Superbird is flying silentish circles around Raichel's chair out of Arms reach.  Terdisas says as he leaves the 'get food here' area with a mug of Coffee, "Hello Lucky, Raichel.  So far so good."

Raichel answers Lucky, "Goes good..." she sounds kind of exhausted. "I've been doing... a lot of exercise..." she peeks an eye open (because, gasp, she DOESN'T have blindsight) and looks first at the eye-catching familiar. "Why are you flying around me specifically?" she asks the familiar.

Lucky is expecting a, "Because I can," type response from the familiar, but can't help but look up from his work.

"Glad to hear," he answers, "From both of you.  Good for the health, that exercise.  In many ways.  How's the family?"

"My instinctual migratory pattern is being influenced by the magnetic field your somewhat sorcerous nature emits, chirp." Well, okay then.  "Nah, I'm just practicing flying around.  And going in circles around you was better variety than back and forth in the middle of the room. Tweet"  This whole exposition Superbird keeps circling.

  Terdisas facepalms.

Re: Heroes Guild Log 13

Raichel smiles. "I wish I could fly..." she says wistfully, not realizing the full awesomeness of her capabilities later in life will have her flying. The fact monks have flying powers early on doesn't count because in game terms, it lasts a few seconds. To her, that's like a really powerful jump. Flying is not having to touch the ground... like Superbird is doing.

Raichel finally looks over to Lucky. "Whatchya readin'?"

Re: Heroes Guild Log 13

Lucky blink-blinks at Superbird's answer.

"It never occurred to me that a bird might practice flying," he says, "I figured it to be as automatic as walking."

To Raichel's question he blushes some, but figures there's no harm in answering.

"Books on romance and poetry.  I'm falling hard for Emerald, and I'm hoping to impress her.  Any suggestions would be much appreciated."

"Tweet, Oh sure, any bird can fly.  But can they fly with style?... Are birds supposed to be able to loop-the-loop like that?  In DnD mechanics terms, yes.  Yes, they can. So much for being special there Superbird.

Terdisas considered Lucky's question.  Unfortunately 'have a really good Charisma stat' while sound advice, is not helpful to the black furred shifter.  "I would think you have already gone a good ways towards impressing out favorite Foxy Lady.  While 'be yourself' is often just empty encouragements, in this case it may actually do the trick."

Raichel chuckles. "I think you already impressed her. But I'm saying that because you've impressed me and I have high standards. She's so nice to everyone, it's hard to say whether she's crushing on you, though. Hard to imagine she isn't. But then, again, I'm biased. You remind me so much of my twin bro that it's hard to imagine someone NOT at least get infatuated with you."

"Aww?" Lucky says with a flattered blush, "Thank you!  Both of you.  What nice things to say!  What a compliment to be compared to Timothius!  It's so nice to have such kind friends.  Can I buy you a drink or something?"

He sets his pen aside and closes his books.

Re: Heroes Guild Log 13

Superbird flaps over to their traditional 'Little Sparrow on Sorcerer Shoulder' position with Terdisas, as the sorcerer looks down at his still steaming mug of coffee, looks up, and then complete straight faced says "That would be most kind of you, I could use some coffee."
Alas, Terdisas does not have quite so epic a Bluff skill to make people believe he isn't already holding some.  Unless they were idiots.  Or it would be funny.

"...You already hav-"  "I will dunk you." "peep."

Raichel giggles, thinking Terdisas is being sarcastic. She slowly sits up and says, "....did you train in physiology like Timothius did? He's really good with massages, so I'm wondering if you are too. I could use one."

Lucky blushes at both the tease from Terdisas and Raichel's request, but he's not going to turn such down.

"Seems Raichel understood the 'or something' part of the offer," he says with a smile to Terdisas, "Sorry for not noticing you already had a drink.  You're welcome to a massage too if you like."

He then proceeds to give Raichel a back rub in the place she chooses.

Terdias smiles and shakes his head, "It is nothing to worry about Lucky.  Though I would not be adverse to having two drinks.  Besides, this way you can give more attention to Raichel's Massage."  At least Lucky is personally familiar with shifter anatomy.  It can be a slight challenge if you need to give like, a Kangaroo a massage out of nowhere.

Raichel smiles at Terdisas, "Thanks for considering that." then gives Lucky instructions on where and she seems to want a massage on just about everywhere. Though she definitely doesn't instruct him to touch her anywhere between the knees and waist. Shoulders, arms, back, feet... the basics. Besides, those are the parts that ache the most anyway.

"So what specifically has you falling for Emerald specifically? I mean, as opposed the the other gals you have befriended."

"Thanks, Terdisas," Lucky says before returning his attention to Raichel, "Yes, to answer your earlier question.  As remarkable as spiritual healing is, sometimes it just doesn't work and actual skill must be called upon for healing.  Why Emerald?  Why not?  I mean... I could go on and on.  But I guess what sets her apart from everyone else I've met in my life is how easily she can reach into the deepest parts of my inner being and play my heartstrings.  In a word, understanding."

Lucky's not a master of massages, but he's apparently no ameture either.  He does a comparatively descent job.

Terdisas finds himself wondering if the fact Emerald is one of their few pleasant acquaintances that can not either smash his face of or make it explode with a snap of their fingers quite as easily as the rest.  Even Shina can LIGHT YOU ON FIYA"Chirp, She plays your heartstrings.  Nice Bard Pun."  "I will admit, your claims do accurately describe Emerald so far."

Raichel says, "Well the real trick is simply asking her to be your gal. In other words, conquering your fears, if you have any. Worst case scenario, she says no, remains a good friend, and you made her day by making her feel attractive. I know that's worst case scenario from a hero asking me out anyway, and I see her as more pleasant with the way she treats people than I am."

"Worst case is she feels rotten for crushing my hopes, I'm afraid," Lucky answers with a sigh, "Yes the pun was... well the metaphor was intentional anyway.  But yeah.  I can't help but have high hopes.  I won't be able to hide that I'm hurt if she turns me down.  And as much as I doubt I'll ever find another I'll fall for quite so hard, what scares me the most is that I might hurt her.  I do appreciate...  Maybe if you could find out for me?  You know, if she's not interested?  Spare her from having to turn me down?"

He combs his fingers through his hair nervously.

Raichel huhs and says, "Well I'll be happy to ask her for you."

Massaged well enough, she leans back on the chair again. "I wonder who among the heroes is attracted to me. Probably not many, considering I'm barely not a kid. And even then, some would argue I *am* one."

"Yeah, I'd prefer if a girl were to ask her," Lucky answers Terdisas, "Superbird makes a good point.  As for your attractiveness, Raichel, you're breathtakingly beautiful.  You're a very lovely lady, and I for one find you stunning.  Your youth has it's own allure, but your maturity is indisputable.  Moreover you have the heart and courage of a true hero.  Shall I go on?  Of all the women I've met, I'd have to say you're the one who could most easily be mistaken for a goddess in mortal form.  The way you carry yourself is poetry in motion.  Like the silvery waters of a spring brook birthed by the purest of melting snow...."

He doesn't look like he's going to run out of compliments any time soon.

"While Lucky has given many a poetically accurate reason to be attracted to you, I must admit I have yet to come across romantic attraction that I have noticed so far.  Perhaps time will change this with those I already know, perhaps I will meet someone where it is an obvious case.  Only time will tell."

Superbird looks over to Lucky, and says "So, it's Emerald that you're crushing on you say? Tweet?"
