Claire slowly stirred out of her slumber, looking at Leo with sleepy eyes.

"Mr. Black? What is this all about? I appreciate your friends coming to save me, but I have to wonder....who has it in for you that would try to kill you?"

Hearing Claires voice broke him out of his thoughts. He glanced at her and smiled and walked over and sat down on the floor by the bed.

"My old Master who taught me everything he is a powerful and evil man and if we dont stop him the city and the world will be in danger."

Claire had heard a lot of things, but this was fantastic. And also terrifying.

"Look....I know that things are heavy right now....but I want to tell you something. Don't you forget who you are, Leo Black. I don't care what anyone says and I don't care what you say. You are a good man...a decent man...no matter what anyone tells you. I know that you will find a way to defeat this enemy of yours, as well as I know that you will help those two young people."

Leo stared at her and sighed she was always right it seemed he a man of hundreds of years on his belt still learning a thing or two or just getting slapped in the face.

"Yeah i know just words are easy to say but i shall remember them when the times get tough I will get tougher now make yourself at home."

Claire looked at Leo for a moment.

"They're not just words Leo....it's the truth. Some cases, words are not easy to say..but the right words in the right time can make the ultimate difference. I don't care how old you are, you should learn never to ignore wise counsel."

Leo smiled and nodded He turned and walked away. He made his way to his computer and sat down and began scanning the web.

"Yes I know Claire i never ignore wise council i take all that my friends say into council. I never forget and always search for more ways to better myself physically and mentally."

Claire then asked 'How long will I be here, Leo? I enjoy your company, but I was just wondering when..or if....this will all be over. There's still a lot of things to do...plus we need to make sure your office doesn't get too dusty."

Leo stopped typing and turned and faced Claire.

"I dont know...to be honest but we will go to the office in a bit and check things out."

"Very well...let me know when you are ready to go, Leo.."

Leo got up and threw on his coat and grabbed his keys from the table he threw on some sunglasses and stretched.

"lets go Claire back to the office..."

Claire nodded and followed after Leo.

Leo faded back into the room of his lair as he slowly turned back to his human form and collapsed.

Leo collapsed into unconsciousness, and entered a dream-like state. In this state, in a third person perspective, he saw two humanoid outlines: one in a shimmering white light, looking almost angelic, the other a pure outline of darkness. They both looked at each other, and began to struggle with each other. The dark seemed to be winning over the light, but the light soon began to fight back. The struggle seemed to continue for what seemed like forever, until Leo soon awoke.

Not far from his hand was a folded piece of paper with a black hand stamped on it.

Leo looked around and crushed the paper in his hand and looked around. He stared at the room and got up and began to work on his lair's defenses.

"Well Mentor its our mind games and chess games yet again."

As Leo readies the defenses, he gets a sensation of something pressing down on him, as if the force of gravity is working against him, and trying to crush him.

Leo glanced around his lair and used his shadows to teleport to the otherside of the room and kept an alert gaze around his lair gathering the shadows trying to pin point the location of this centrifuge

"Hah! The impeccable Leo Black, also known as The Shadow! You seek to fight the force of gravity itself?!"

Leo could feel the gravity emanating from someone in the room, as his lair began to crumble all around him.

Leo glared and gathered the shadows from all over the room and sent out a large shock wave of shadow energy that was directed towards living things.

"coward show yourself."

"Fool....I am a force that is all around you. I am the force that keeps you to the ground. And I serve The One Who Is Coming...the one who has designated your death. For I am Centrifuge!"

He felt the shadow energy impact with him, but was undaunted by that assault. At least for the moment. Leo could once feel the crushing sensation come down upon him.

Leo glared all around him and gathered all the shadows in the room once more this time he shifted into his true form and gathered more pushing all the shadows in a larger wave cracking the ground and shattering the windows shaking the foundation.

The Lair soon crumbled down to the foundation around the both of them. Leo could then see what appeared to be a bearded man with salt and pepper hair, wearing a nice suit and tie. Blood appeared to be coming out of his nose.

"So it begins....your end, Leo Black....and the end of this accursed chaos.."

Leo could feel gravity pressing down on him, as he felt himself being pulled downward.

Leo faded into the shadows and rose up behind the old man and dived for a tackle to knock the old man down.

Centrifuge smirked as Leo attempted to tackle him. With a gesture of his hand, Leo soon found himself stopped short, facedown on the ground.

"You still don't understand, do you? I control a fundamental force...one which defines the Earth...and one that will crush you."

"your not the only one with tricks pal."

Leo smiled as the shadows around the old man become rope and wrapped around the old man binding him.
