The Dragon seems pleased that it’s “Kill Bugs” proposal has gone over well.
The Basilica is not a religious building, as some 21st century people might think. It is a Basilica in its Late Roman meaning, an administrative building. The smaller plaza, connected by the archway through to the larger plaza, is the town’s forum, the home of government, while the main plaza was the spiritual and commercial area. The Basilica, towards which the Dragon is headed, was once the place where the important people of the town, the assembly, met.
The Dragon walks towards it, headed for the front door. It is a big double door, bronze-clad, big enough to admit a Dragon. Not many of the doors and windows in the town are, and the Bugs have been using that to their advantage. But no longer.
“There is a side entrance,” the Dragon says, nodding to one corner of the building. “They may be fearful when I enter, and try to escape. Some should be watching the side entrance. Hah.. against me alone they could play these tricks, but no longer. The other foot has the bigger claw, now.”
