I don't often chortle out loud at posts, but IC#144 gave me a real happy laugh. Thank you, GM!

:)

@Melock. Pretty sure the High Llama riders were with Well 'Ard 'Arry when he robbed you lot, and have gone East on a heroquest.

I think....I could be wrong, but I believe Amara must be one of the best trackers in the group.

lol, once again the die roller proves to be....quirky in its affection for me.

07:13, Today: Amara Brightsky rolled 1 using 1d100. Survival. PASS OMG I think I found enough fodder for the clan for a decade! and a few spare rhinos just wandering around.
07:12, Today: Amara Brightsky rolled 55 using 1d100. track. PASS

I'm shy around powerful priestesses. Sorry. I've something of a Track Record to live down in that respect.

Letting others (Non-Rangers) join in in the ceremony will give them some share of the power of the place and of the ceremony.....

Do you want this?

In reply to GM (msg # 951):

I have mixed feelings about this, on the one hand if they are trying to get one over on us then no we dont want to involve them, but on the other, as we are trying to unite the tribes and heal the land so we should involve them.
And no I'm not just saying this to get in to Shades knickers :)

Good point.

Obviously, I'm not going to object to my family getting a bit of the good stuff as per my IC musings, but I expect it would be odd for Hoskar to bung in some relatives if we're saying "no" to other people.

On the other hand, the more people have a share in the power of the place, the less likely their tribes are to want to attack it.

Is said power a finite resource (i.e they get some, we get less), or progressive in proportion to how many people get involved, I wonder.

Being me, I'll go with the consensus. Quelle surprise.

Im sort of making this up as i go, but yes I think so. Ohanzee mentioned it was to be a ritual of home coming and by that I see it as an important new ceremony for the GFHs and the Rangers in particular.

Whether you want others to know this is up to you. Im not saying its a bad thing to include others just that maybe you should think about it.

As for the Red Thorns they have their own agendas and their own people to think of. Whatever they might be up to dont take it personally as you lot are rather insignificant on a clan stage (for now...)

Oh, we are insignificant indeed - for now.

So let's make a show of our impending significance, tie ourselves to the GFH with ceremony. IOW, Rangers only.

I think this is the way to go myself, but that's just me as a gamer, not your gm.

Building your significance, myth, name, power etc is all important if you want people to take you seriously. It's at the heart of what you are aiming to achieve.

Think big.

You're Praxians so that shouldn't be hard :)

Respect given where respect is needed, but otherwise walk the walk and talk the talk.

Re: 5th OOC thread.

What's at play here at the moment is to do with whole clans and their power plays. So you could be thinking about furthering the Prairie Thunder/Skywatcher clans

or

Uniting everyone. I think this needs you to have a bit more clout than you have at the moment. Not putting your achievements down, but they are just the start of it and you are up against folk who have achieved much more.

Re: 5th OOC thread.

Amara would be against sharing the power with the Red Thorns.
While they've shown hospitality.
I trust the person saying the lance was lying and we've suffered some issues at the  hands for redthorns.

She'd even be against Salens auntie being the priestess as the GFH already has a Priestess that needs more power and involving her in keeps the place safer for us too.

Re: 5th OOC thread.

Amara Brightsky:

The Moon Design Cult Compendium has "Tada = Ernalda" in the "Eirithan Genealogy" box (p.82). That source seems to have this couple as progenitors of, among others, Ronance.

Meanwhile, the Book of Heortling Mythology (p.89, 2010 version) says:
"Vingkot grew up tall and strong. It was his father’s gift that none could stand against him in battle, but Vingkot sought more than just war-prowess. He gained his true fame and power by undertaking the Three Tasks. He proved himself more than mortal by succeeding where all others had failed. As a result, he won for himself the Twin Wives, the daughters of Esrolia and her consort Tada.".

As usual, ctrl+F on .pdfs provides at best equivocal information.

Valid point re the Earth Witch. She also mentioned that others would be arriving....

The Wife of Tada can be just his 'Wife' . She doesn't need to be named. Whispers played her before. You lot are making the rules for this....

Tada is/was many different people according to some. He was the ruling Khan of the time. But in myth he is one Hero.

And like other gods and important so and so's he fathered many children with many different women.

Ronance is one of his children.

Just make some cool stuff up IC. At the moment you are just preparing yourselves, I will help you along with my posts and lets see what happens.
