Re: Chit Chat

Just posted in Adventuring in Westeros, on Combat - it's not finished and there is more to come. Please read and ask questions - now is the time as there will be much more combat in the next few ICs, and I wanted to start mods now before we get into it and it stalls the game.

Re: Chit Chat

Ok so if I got it right everyone should be in an active IC, in there respective threads now. So just start reading up and posting away.

Don't forget once done I need a time pass or some note that you are waiting for my interaction (it Helps :)

And these last scenes, when done time will pass and we will move on to the next IC.

Only the ironborn are still setting up and not in an IC yet.

FYI

The 'viper' is a term that the north uses as a derogatory word for A Dorne. It's not just used for Vernon.

Its like saying today a 'snake' or 'snake in the grass'.

Wine is always the answer. In this case you give the GM booze until he thinks it's L5R and lets you roll 3k3 instead of 3D.

Check out my L5R game here on RPOL.

I can't do both, I don't have that much free time, but I can always use some helpful tips. I will restart it one day.

Re: Chit Chat

I have heard good things about that system. I used to  RP in a game called Bushido, and it was a lot of fun.

I heard about that game, ... never played

Re: Chit Chat

A little note concerning skill levels : According to the Campaign Guide, 6s and up are really, really rare. For instance Varys has Deception 5 and Cunning 4. Littlefinger has got a whooping Deception 6. I have seen only a single char with fighting over 5(although I have no doubt Ser Barristan the Bold had 6+ when he was younger).

The Mountain has Endurance 6(but fighting 4) for instance while Hodor has Athletics 6. Robert is mechanically the 'ardest fighter of the book, I think, with Fighting and Endurance 6 as well as Athletics 5.

The only 7s in the book afaik are Robert's and Cersei's status.

Re: Chit Chat

I loved Bushido. It was a clunky system, but it was cool. One of my player's samurai was so thrilled when he was rewarded a garden in the Daiymo's castle. I liked the difference of motivation that players can have. I like L5R, but so much history, and I did not keep up when it first came out. So, I always feel so lost.  It being, a collectible card game sort of pushed the games history.

I loved most of the Clans. I have played a lion and crane. Though,  wanted to play a scorpion or crab as well.

Re: Chit Chat

Fantasy Games Unlimited published Bushido, and many other fun rping games. My all time favorite was and still is Flashing Blades. Rping in the 17th Century. Think Three Musketeers. There was a brief game on here, but it died. I am still hoping someone with fire one up on here again. Here is hoping. :)

Yes, my point exactly.  The advantage Game has is it can be read or watched on HBO>  L5r would make an awesome HBO serious though

Re: Chit Chat

I'm around this weekend, BUT a heads up I will not be around the following weekend starting Friday 7-25 around 1pm (eastern USA) to Monday after 8pm 7-28.

This weekend I noted above, I will not be around, I will be in the mountains. I do get cell service but I will be with family so I don't want to promises that I will be available.

But that a whole 6 days away :)
