Re: Chapter

Tanzy/Prizzard:
With the four of you attacking them, they are rapidly suffering, though they manage to give Jett a couple blows that you know will require a great deal of needle and thread later...They are still alive at this point, but they start to back away, as if looking for a means of escape. The fact that they have not called out to any others for help gives you hope that perhaps these are the only beings in the area....

ooc: next round!

Stefan/Raknesh: Raina listens with a frown. Interesting. I suppose it could be possible. She gives an uncertain shrug. If you think the man is trustworthy I suppose it is really your only choice. I do not know what lies beyond these woods or how to get you back without my father's help. This may be your only option now. She says darkly. Meanwhile, Stefan you are having difficulty hearing more than snippets of the strange language here and there, but you are aware of something brushing against you from time to time, though when you look there is nothing there.

Forgoing spellcasting seems to be working, especially with the opponents focus elsewhere. Another whirling slice bites deep.

Stefan whinnied to catch the attention of his companions, and made glaringly obvious looking around motions and flicked his ears constantly, trying to draw their attention to what it seemed only he could hear.

"Well, now that we have some time, could you please explain what's that place, how you ended here and what happened before I found you?" said Raknesh, putting the dagger away physically and mentally. It was not a pleasant thought.

Re: Chapter

Prizzard/Tanzy:
Loden and Jett continue to pick away at the pair along with the both of you. Loden manages a decent blow, though Jett is struggling a bit. Prizzard hits the same enemy as Loden, quite effectively, and a spray of dark blood gushes from the wound. Between the two of your attacks it finishes him off and when Prizzard lands his blow the man goes down in a heap, leaving only one left. Seeing his situation has suddenly become dire, the man turns and tries to flee, giving you an attack of opportunity.

ooc: Go ahead and post your AoO and your regular round as well please

Stefan/Raknesh:
Seeing as how Stefan is still a pony, Raina does the talking for him. This is the land of the dead. My father is its king and I am the gatemistress of sorts. I help those who enter to find their place. Stefan here though, gave me a bit of trouble. She smiles in amusement. Once I realized he didn't belong, I tried to help him, well you can see how well that went. She finishes drily. She suddenly notices Stefan's attempts at communication. What's he doing? I think he hears something. She says suddenly, standing up and drawing her weapon.

Re: Chapter

Prizzard/Tanzy: Between the two of you, the man does not last long. He falls down as if dead, blood spraying on the grass. If you inspect him closely he still has some life left, but he is unconscious. You can finish him if you want. In the meantime Jett clutches his wound irritably and Loden turns to you both. Is everyone alright? What happened? He scans the area, making sure there are no more enemies. Thus far there appears to be none. We should get back to the others. He adds, still waiting for a reprisal of events.

Re: Chapter

With a slight rear and stamp of his front hooves, Stefan shifted back to human form, a look of great displeasure on his face.  "Lenaar derai usqual enite.  Does that mean anything to anyone?" He asked tersely as his head continued to swivel around.  "I see gray whisps moving incredibly fast around us, unless that means something to you Raknesh, you need to make a decision fast about whether or not to use that knife.  I have no better ideas so I will trust your judgement."

Re: Chapter

Prizzard, you behead the fallen easily, albeit with quite a mess. Jett looks a bit worse for the wear and leans on his sword heavily. Loden looks about to say something but suddenly his eyes are drawn to the temple in the near distance. What was that? Did you see? I saw someone in the entrance. He points, but it is clear whoever may have been there is gone. I don't like this.... He mutters. We should get you all healed before we try to see who that was. He gestures to head back but does not stop staring at the vacant entrance...ooc: Do you head back or investigate?

Stefan/Raknesh: Raina listens to you with a look of surprise. I know that tongue. It means we are the hungry damned. Curses! She hisses suddenly, turning to Raknesh. Get him out of here. Use the knife! Both of you go! She looks stressed and more than a little frightened.

Re: Chapter

Used to the wear of battle and most of his damage more of a self-drain that actual injury, he only showed a slight limp from the slashes on his leg, having positioned his robes to hide the wounds on his chest. He minimalized this by walking with his scythe as a staff, one way of keeping it on-hand. "Even in our weakened condition we are not being attacked.. I'll assume whoever you saw is either weak or not hostile. Some minimal healing may be good insurance, but we should not wait too long before progressing our search."

Feeling more and more lost, Raknesh do sense the urge and fear in Raina's voice.

Turning to Stefan he takes the dagger firmly.
"I hope you are ready" he began  "And I hope we shall meet again" he finishes, stabbing the druid in a rapid motion, to make it quick.

Re: Chapter

Stefan/Raknesh: As Raknesh stabs Stefan, the druid sinks to his knees and then falls to his back. Raina kneels over you gently and with a smile takes your face in her hands and gives you a kiss that would have made your heart nearly burst from your chest were you not currently dying. If I make it out of here alive, I will find a way to see you again my friend. She says warmly. She turns to Raknesh and puts a friendly hand on your shoulder. Good luck to you good man. I will do my best to make that happen. In the meantime, I have demons to run from. She says with a smile. And with a final nod of goodbye she starts to run as fast as her wounds allow. To your surprise you see several shadowy figures emerge from the darkness and begin to pursue her. In the meantime you are both starting to fade away into unconsciousness. Raknesh, you fall to the ground as the world starts to turn black....

ooc: Wanted to give you a chance to say/react to anything one final time before I send you back. Go ahead and finish if you need to, otherwise you wake on your backs in the priest's cell, the old man looming over you.

Prizzard/Tanzy:
Loden looks to be in agreement with your plan. Sounds good. We'll check on the others and see about healing a bit. As soon as we are able though I want to investigate. There is far too much going on here to take anything lightly. As you head back towards the priest's cell, you hear the old man exclaim, They are stirring! They are stirring! Upon arrival you do indeed see your friends are starting to waken.

Re: Chapter

After the kiss left his lips the Druid touched her on her forehead and he felt his magic surge one last time in this twilight realm, gifting her a measure of strength (bulls strength). "Run and live, whether we see each other again. May harmony find you."  He turned back to Raknesh he winked at the man "See you on the other side my friend. he muttered as he faded from one world and his eyes finally reopened in another.

Tanzy followed her companions back to where they had left the others. "I found some healing potions when I was poking around," she muttered digging through her things and offering the potions to any who might need them. She looked over with interest as the others started to awaken.

Re: Chapter

ooc: Yay! We're all on the same post again! ;P

Prizzard and Raknesh, you both awaken to find your companions leaning over you. It looks as though they've seen quite a scuffle for the mess their wounds have made is apparent, especially in Jett's case. The old man seems pleased that you are back, looking relieved that his instructions have worked. He also offers to do some healing to take care of any residual damage the potions have not dispelled. Between the two, everyone is back up to full health in no time, though the old man looks drained afterwards. Halek runs up to Raknesh and gives him a big hug, a rare smile on his lips. What happened? Loden queries. Where were you two? In the meantime the old man makes an excuse and leaves abruptly.

Slowly getting back to his senses Raknesh notice the state of his companions.
He is about to ask about what happened when Halek's hug emptied the air in his lungs.
"Good to see your are fine, young man" he said after a quick inspection showed none of the wounds the others suffered.

Taking Prizzard's hand, Raknesh gets up, still feeling a bit shaky.
"It seems you found something to do while we were trying to get back here...  A very strange place it was... I have so many questions about it, but it will wait.

Leaving would be wiser, but I think we need to find something before... Any idea Halek? What did the Empress said we would need when searching the temples?

Where did the priest go? He might know something..."

20:27, Today: Raknesh Kaltash rolled 6 using 1d20+3. sense motive.

Re: Chapter

Stefan gets up quietly cataloging the damage done to his body by the removal of the evil. Looking around it was apparent to him that they must have come far since then, wherever they were could not have been in sight of where he last looked on the world. "I shall trust to your judgement about moving or staying, as I have no idea where we are at present. As for where we were........I shall not speak of that till we are in a wholesome place, which I doubt this is.  He levered himself to his feet and made ready to move if it was needed.

Re: Chapter

Halek watches the priest go with a frown. He's up to something. He says simply. I think he may be more than he seems.... He trails off thoughtfully. We cannot leave until we get the instructions from the temple. He explains. Each temple will have hidden instructions, parts of a ceremony that we must take back with us to the oracle. It is the only way of stopping the goddess. I hate to do it in the dark at night, but until we know what the priest's motives are we may not have a choice. Unless you would prefer to follow him first? He arches a young eyebrow, looking uncertain.

ooc: If you DO decide to follow the priest, roll spot/search/and track so I know if you can catch up to him.
