Didn't we have have come very fine barrels in some loot?

Sure did, from the stone tower.

Might be worth trying to incorporating their transport into the heroquest some how.

Yes, have to give that some thought. In the original it was leather buckets and Frog Woman's leaping spell.

Does the leaping spell work on the mounts? Cause if it does, it would be a sight to see, a mix of bison and rhino flying through the air :)

I edited my post to reflect the empty campsite. Just FYI.

It's now a bit out of order, but better it makes sense I guess.

All good and I'm moved it after my post.

Damn these thieving, rascally nomad types....

I just hope Peat's still with you...

Re: OOC 9

Is there any kind of impression Akala would have gotten that Cantalas might be the type to do this?

My feeling is, if asked, Akala would say something like: "He didn't seem like the type, but, if you left a caravans worth of loot around him... It might bring out a side I'd never seen..."

Re: OOC 9

No he seemed a good type. But hey you're nomads they're nomads, you left your stuff with them.

His nephew is with you though...But perhaps he wants him gone, now that he's married Peat's mum.

Holidays this week, so full time kids and a busy partner with a project that needs completing. Should have similar posting rates but I'm not 100% sure. Mornings might be a prob, let's see. Will have a few hours free in a bit so IC posts coming.

Hoping Hoskar will post (Haven't checked IC yet)

Late online this morning: about to post now.

Missed chance IC over the weekend, but I did fill a waterskin - it's my habit to do so at every opportunity anyway.

Someone had better slap me. I think he's flipped under the strain. Didn't plan this - it just came out as I was catching up on the weekend's posts. :)

*Slap*

Examining the site of the camp finds that it has been professionally covered so there are few signs that anyone stopped. Though animal tracks are still visible.

Someone can roll their Read/write knots. You all have a basic skill on your sheets. Salen can read them without a roll, but I won't have him try unless asked.

Try and write them sometimes if you need to leave a message for someone. It's a skill only taught to initiates of Waha, but one that everyone has a basic chance of doing.

Salen has been taught extensively by both Long Grass and his family. Hoskar missed out because of his lifestyle of leisure launching around in Pavis  ;)

Whoops. Sorry. Mistook how fast a lope was involved. Edit time. I'll kill off the pipe. No way does that work when trotting.

It could be a Condor skill: Smoke whilst running.

Re: OOC 9

This is what the bird describes.
Black dots will be the sages when they arrive there, moments after you arrive.

4m drop. The riders would be a metre below.

Move silent rolls need to be made or the use of Silence spells. Then a hide roll.

14:10, Today: Hoskar Feather rolled 38 using 1d100. Hide t40.
14:10, Today: Hoskar Feather rolled 29 using 1d100. MvQt t40.

I'm moving lightly as a feather and am cunningly concealed, it seems. Just as well, really: I have no missile weapon (didn't specify taking my sling with me) and will have to resort to throwing rocks and disrupting in ranged combat.

The IC lithp is because I recall reading somewhere that the "s" sound carries further than others when whispered.

Re: OOC 9

So here I am asking for actions again...

You know the drill by now. The reason I continuously ask for you lot to do it is so that I can have everything in one place.

What's the plan? You have time to talk before getting there. You could avoid the place entirely and let them pass.

Are you going to Ambush them? Capture them?

Missiles?

Or jump on to them like the hard nuts you are?

In reply to GM (msg # 947):

I'd let them pass. They're mounted and they have about as many numbers as we do, so they have an advantage and even if the tide starts turning in our favour, they can get away far faster then we can chase them. They're also going in the opposite direction of the way we're going anyway.

In reply to GM (msg # 947):

We're under-armed, under-armoured, under-prepared under-mounted and under pressure. Plus Hoskar's got a major attack of the guilts on when it comes to Sables. He'll join in if it comes to fighting, but won't be keen to dive in first with Amara's rebuke and Melock's grim but wholly just prophecy of what he might become still ringing in his ears.

I've asked what people are up to IC with a hint towards "let them past" and I'm sticking to that.

Re: OOC 9

So Ohanzee's take is:

They're heading South because they've found the others and are outnumbered so are going to get more for their attack.

They were poorly equiped last time, very little metal between them and not much beyond curiboli so likely the same with this lot. This is supported by the fact that they have no bound spirits otherwise they'd know about us through sensing ours so they aren't that powerful.

They have mounts so we don't have to bloody walk any more.

They are just stinking Sable riders, we are Wandering Rangers who have Overcome far worse odds!
