Conan doesn't hear Bobble's plea for a flanker and will instant move through the gas cloud in order to attack the leader so he can't keep throwing those bombs at him nor his compatriots.

Round 4
Bobble moves around Goblin 3 (who misses on the AOO) and waits...

Conan moves through the gas cloud and attacks the leader, but misses.  The gas cloud is foul smelling.  Goblin 3 was distracted by Bobble, so no AOO.  Conover snaps at Goblin 2 and catches her ziging when she should have zagged, doing 14 dam.   Goblin 2 collapses on the floor bleeding heavily.  The dog moves over next to Conan, but starts panting heavily and does not look well.
Conan needs to make a DC 12 Fortitude or be sickened
Conover failed his save and is Sickened

Makoto will bravely step forward and flank the goblin for Bobble...  Green>Chito</Green> watches the rear.

...Bobble will take the distraction/flank from Makoto and drive his sword through the goblins stomach.  Goblin 3 collapses on the floor bleeding heavily.

...Makoto will sheathe her dagger once the goblin is down, and draw out the wand again.

goblin2 on the ground dying.

goblin3 on the ground dying.

GoblinLdr looks...concerned, when you take down both his minions at the same time with critical hits.  He uses his natural dex (no skill, and he got lucky on the skill roll) to acrobatically avoid AOO and run across the 1' wide ledge behind Pit3.  Away from teeth and sword he pulls out another vial and throws it at Conan, and hits for 4 dam(fire) to Conan and 3 splash dam to Conover.

Bobble will drop his rapier and move back 10’ from the gas cloud. As he moves he will bring his crossbow to the ready position and shoot at the goblin leader.

Bobble makes an excellent shot at the goblin leader, but does minimal damage.

Makoto could you give me another touch with the wand?

Looking over and down at the pitiful shape of his dog, Conan will immediately send the dog out of the cloud and back to the others.   He will then move over 5' to be in front of the Goblin leader and will swing his sword at the little critter.

Round 5
Bobble will draw out his crossbow as he moves back to the door.  He fires and forces the goblin leader to dodge his attack (1 dam).

Conan almost loses his lunch, but he mans up and keeps it down, and he quickly starts to ignore the smell.  Conan steps over and swings a decent attack, but the goblin leader reacts so fast that Conan's sword only hits the goblins armor.  Conover moves out of the gas but continues to try to lick the nasty taste/smell away.  By the end of the round he seems to have recovered.
Once you make the save for the gas you don't need to make another for 24hrs, so Conan is fine.  The sickened condition last for 1 round.
The GoblinLeaders AC is more than 18, it is 21

GoblinLdr looks more confident after he has dodged Conan's attack.  He pulls out another vial and drinks it, however this diverts his attention enough that Conan can take an AOO.  With Conan still recovering from his AOO swing, Goblinldr moves down to the far corner of the room.  He says in common, "Yes I think some of you would be excellent subjects for fleshwarping.  Yes..."
This goblin is an alchemist and they can draw and drink extracts & bombs as standard actions.

Conan watching the solid attack just skid along the Goblin's armor and nearly retching his cookies from the cloud will swing his massive sword again in the hopes of wounding the little demon spawn.   This time the attack connected but the Goblin still moved out of the cloud and Conan is thinking, We have you now you little sucker, and will pursue the leader from the cloud by charging the little bugger.

The Goblin Leader gets cocky, and while trying to drink his extract Conan slices him open.  A large wound opens in his side and he falls over, dying.

The battle is over.

  A goblin with a book is a surprise.  Let me know what you are taking, what you are leaving behind and what you are coming back for if you can.  What else you might want to do and which door you are opening next?
I am assuming;
- You are giving the kitchen and storage room and lab a quick search
- the kitchen has a 3-foot-square, lidded box in one of the counters that refills 10 minutes after being emptied.
- the goo is nominally edible, if unappetizing and of dubious nutritional value.

We can load up Dorsey with this lab equipment if you want when we are done here, say Conan to no one in particular as Makoto is healing everyone.   As she is healing everyone Conan when healed will investigate the pits it the cloud but before that he will search for a way to expel the cloud from the room.

No, I don't, say Conan to Makoto's response to him saying that we could load up the mule with the lab stuff.   In fact, I know we aren't done with this investigation,  what I was saying in my clumsy way way was that we could load up my mule right now,    Since he is outside the halls here and we could send him off to Tide Watcher with a progress report and the lab equipment. he continues.



OOC: Is there a lever or anything that makes the cloud go away?   What is in the pits?

I already posted what is in the pits in various descriptions of the combat.

Basically it is the protoflesh used in fleshwarping.  It made the goblins into mutants,  created the Fleshys and gave Conan extra teeth.  You can't just "turn it off".  It would take a magic skilled person a lot of time to study and understand it.

We will gather up the food box, and the lab stuff here. We will come back for it. We are not even close to finished here. Too much time to take it out now. Each of us should take an alchemist Fire. Let’s take the recipe book now and the magic bead.

Bobble will divide the things as above. He gives the book to Conan to carry for now.

Then he will search the other doors out of this room after filling his quiver back up with crossbow bolts.

Conan will you please finish off any of these goblins that are still alive?

Conan will finish off any of the Goblins that may be alive still.   He will in turn take the formula book and turn it upside down and see if any of the pages come out, just in case there are more pages than what were in the book to begin with, then he will gingerly place the book in his pack.   He'll say to Bobble,What door do you wish for me to open, good sir.

Chp 2 Wrathwarped Halls

  The door opens on to a short 10' long passage that opens into a silent room.  The western side of the room is lined with wooden doors fitted with iron bars. Many of the doors are open, revealing bunched up piles of filthy rags heaped in what must have once been cells. A single metal door opens to the east, and another passageway leads south.  It was a prison, but today the goblins use it as sleeping quarters. They see the barred doors as comforting, having themselves been raised in cages. There are no goblins currently present and it's difficult to guess how many goblins there are.  There does not appear to be anything of value.  There is only 1 other way out, down a 15' long passage.  As you approach the door you hear harsh goblin voices yelling, no, that's goblin "singing" on the other side.

NOTE; I forgot the 15' long passage to the right out of room A9 - that leads to the door with goblin singing.

Makoto will invest a Protective Luck hex in each of you.

I assume each of you got 1 alchemist fire from the goblin.

   Conan opens the door.  This room’s ceiling is thirty feet high. Halfway up the smooth stone walls, the room widens slightly, creating a narrow ledge that runs the entire perimeter, with exits to the east and south. The floor in the lower portion is sand, clumped and stained in places by blood. Bones, broken armor, and shattered weapons are scattered about the floor, and a musty smell permeates the space. Barred metal doors lead out from the lower level to the west(Where you are entering) and south.
  Conan, and eventually everyone, sees winged goblins.  2 are having a mock battle in the air with wooden spears.  They don't appear to be very good at flying.  There is a 3rd one standing on the ledge to the left looking your direction, probably at the singer.  The singing is coming from overhead somewhere.  The goblin on the left glances down and sees you, his eyes go wide.  The winged goblins only weapons are dull wooden spears and claws.




Female Goblin singer, except the instrument should be a flail
