while Safwan's library only occupies one roo. on this floor, the stairs down are further afield.  like most f the area, it is dimly lit with magelight.

paintings of pastoral scenes decorate the walls, and there are niches with marble statues of women in drapery.

No, this one doesn't think you came this way. Before we go through the damp room, Safwan will make sure the valve is closed; none should be drowned as we pursue this task.

this would probably be the trapped room that floods and has clockwork fish that try to drown you as per the notes you found on the dead artificer's body

"Well, Haveron, you're right," answered Amelia with a dimpled smile. She continued in a conspiratorial whisper, "To be honest, I'm not sure why I'm here. I'm nearly useless at combat and I don't do spells. I can tell you which fork to use and speak eloquently to the rich and noble." She shrugged. "But then there's why I'm here. That's easy. I'm hoping to blag a share of something really valuable so that then I can get some really nice clothes! Handbags work too!"

Haveron leaned in when Amelia started speaking, and then chuckled under his breath. "Just stick close, and behind me, and you won't have to fight. he offered somewhat reassuringly.

"From what I've though, that tongue could charm a demon into retreating back to hell after having a light tea. he chuckled deeply, continuing into jest. "I'm sure there'll be plenty to go around, one of the best reasons to come on trips like that, I've always thought people seeking adventure were really just mincing words."

As we pass Safwan's rooms, this one retrieves a fine saber from the display on the small library's wall (or wherever it is kept). "This will help against those creatures that don't respond well to fisticuffs..."

In reply to Safwan (msg # 95):

the saber on display in the library is of good quality,  but ornate. you know there are some better ones in thecomplex.

*** the reaver that Haveron killed in the hallway was wearing skinny sized ornate brigandine armor, an ornate sheath for a large knife, and an ornate bastard sword of good quality- no one picked any of this up

*** the wet room has a valve 12 feet off the ground, which Safwan can reach when the room is 6 feet deep in water. The advantage Safwan has is that th e clinging, encumbering, biting clockwork fish will not attack them.  not necessarily the same foranyone else. and only one doorcan be open at a time.  You might want to take the long way.
