Some news ..its  both good and Bad.... Roo sent me a Rmail saying she was  getting on her feet and doing  well

however ..."... I am  about 90% sure i am leaving ROPL, so please take  me off the two games In  am in, Thank you"

she ends  with 'it was fun while it lasted,

I told her i will remove her, ebcause that's a big thing for the Admins,,some one asks, you better remove them. I told  her if she eve wants to come back, she is welcome...

so? Roo will be on the med tech ship for good , I guess.

the 90%  sure, made me wonder though? I mean? if she was leaving, it doesn't matter if i removed her..if she stayed..maybe she doesn't  want back on?.. I dunno..reading to much into it..but i have  saw tons of stuff in the forums about GM  who don't delete folks when the asked...makes sense.? why would you keep them, if they want gone?

I would guess the 90% thing means that she is for sure leaving...she's just not sure how long she'll stay away...

But it's good to hear positive news.  Been way too many times on here that someone's left for health or personal reasons, and we either never hear from them again or the next time we get news, it's something bad...

Yep... I liked the player  in the times  we talked setting up the PC? and she got  into the game fast, and was active..

Naomi  had  that thing with her sister and niece murdered. she had to testify, she even sent me a clipping in PMs from the paper.. she tried to come back, but i think it was too Violent in here, for an 'escape"..didn't help  that Ajax  sorta  creeped her out  too,

we Know she's  alive.. and the last thing we heard  was she was adjusting..sorta leaves a question mark.,..she is on the FB list..she hasn't  posted  anyhting there, since  her   welcome post.

In the  End, we  have a Community that isn't like , say?  an Online Mass  Mulit player  game. We  talk in OOC, we  have  a small idea  of our friends  and where they are, and what they do... we try to support in our small way, and  we  can rant when  needs be.

I have said more then once.. I came to this site, Vowing to never  GM/DM.. i started   GMing  4 or 5 years later.. after being in game , after game, that crashed and burned, I was hoping we would get  1000 posts...then 5000..then, it seemed like the GAme  found its legs..Mostly because of  good players, who put  effort into RPIng thier  characters. Turning a simple RP game, into a  ensemble war story.

and..you look at the   post  of 'Those who have gone before us"..some of those  players  were great, and we lost because of RL...Some were good  but got bored, and Ghosted..some..we're so good and  ghosted..others  were bad..and  gave us  character  we  can lok back on and say " don't do this"..others, Like   Stoly and Hannah and Jesse and Irina..made  big impacts, before they had to leave.

so? hearing good  news  about someone is great, regardless of whether they come back.

Bugs Is An Honorary Member Of The US Marines
During Super Rabbit, of his many WW2 propaganda shorts, Bugs Bunny appears to be wearing the dress blues of the US Marines. Because of this, the Marines named him an honorary Marine Master Sergeant.

Bugs also served as the mascot to several divisions of the US Marines for years following WW2. For example, from 1943 to 1946, Bugs was the official mascot of Kingman Army Airfield located in Arizona. Charles Bronson and Clark Gable both trained there!

I was joking with someone either really early this year, or late last year, and commented that Liam Neeson had become the 21st Century iteration of Charles Bronson, with the long string of action movies that he's been making.  They aren't as bleak and gritty as Death Wish, but they're a product of a different society with different expectations at the box office.

Yeah...that's where the whole thing started.  Prior to that, he was seen primarily as a dramatic actor.  Starting with the Taken franchise, he became seen more as an action hero, playing characters with dark, dangerous backgrounds who had decided to 'go clean' and establish a regular life, only to have someone drag them back into the violent ways they had foresworn.  Lately, that seems to be all he's doing...the specifics change, but the plot summary could be almost identical for his last five or six movies.

I don't think they're bad movies...some of them are far more plausible than average for the genre, and if there weren't so many of them, or they weren't coming out every few months, they'd probably actually garner more attention.  But I think people are reaching the 'been there, done that' plateau with the formula, at least with Neeson in the lead role.  What he used to be and what pulls him out of retirement changes...but after that, it's pretty predictable.

::chuckles:: I watched one last year on Netflix where he was a snowplow driver at a town where there was an Indian resort..and  everyone  had something to do with drugs, and he  kept having to kill people.

There was  an Early Comedy where he has a suporting role, my late wife and I watched  called 'High Spirits'.. I thnk the  woman from 'summer Vacation' was the  mainguys  wife..The main guy was a rom com actor back then, and Liam played a Ghost who killed his wife...His  wife was a ghost ( lotsa a ghosts!), Darryl Hannah

it  was neat, took place in an old  castle in england or scotland

ok folks?... today around  4 or 5   I have to drive to pittsburgh to get  my daughter and her  daughter.. I am not  looking forward to the drive, I haven't been in Pitsburgh for  years and the PArkway is a terrible place to be.... I have to  bot through a  tunnel that  has  4 lanes, each lane  has a sign, and if you pick the wrong lane, you're screwed for a long while , until you get back.

I will have  the Little one here  for about  10 days, I have  to take daughter back to airport Tuesday.

Gas prices don't help!..anyway..it was my idea  since her oldest had to go to Iowa to spend  someweeks  with her  screwed up dad  and his 'wife"...This way her little one wouldn't have to stay with  some strange BAbysitter in NC.

::sigh::..anyway.. i'll be on and off until i leave, with luck i check the boards  around 11:00PM or so if all goes  right.

i put this  up in another game too.
