Jendrich was leaning toward the discussion, curious by the suggestion of blocking powers. Until he hears about the risk of angering fairies, at least. That details makes him straighten up, and give a few worried glances about.

In the Guild

"The Winter Court is not so very straight forward as to 'sanction' or 'not sanction'.  Rather what's important is who owes whom, how much and most importantly, 'did their actions upset anyone more powerful than themself'.  No, what I mean by 'fighting with laws', is just that.  If it's not legal to seize their goods now over what they have done in Northport, presuming this action took place in Northport, and they live through whatever you do next, they will come for you later.  If doing so by petitioning the Haderuem is easy and satisfying, they will first do it that way.  Then once the Hadereum has taken its pound of flesh, or not as it might be, then they'll go after you personally."

Dilandua slowly smiles.  The smile does not reach their eyes.

"I'm simply angling to place them in my debt and reduce the blood animosity towards the Guild in one action."

OOC:  19:04, Today: Dilandua rolled 11 using 3d6.  Savoir-Faire (Fairie Court) 8 (skill 10 -2).
So unfortunate.

Virgilio listens carefully to Dilandua.

"I, on the other hand, was completely ignorant of all those subtleties, and merely sought to aid Guild members while making a very small profit.

"Based on what I have heard, I withdraw my offer.  Matters such as this are beyond my grasp."

Rosewood had stayed out the way and hide while in the guild.  With his first friend gone he not sure what he really doing.  He is still very unsure how much he can trust Anita Drake.  But decides to help her anyway.  He thinks over what the shadow elf says and used his knowledge of fay to judge what she saying and how much you can trust her words.

Then passes it onto Anita.

OOC:
22:26, Today: Rosewood rolled 6 using 3d6.  Hidden Lore: Faerie TN 13.

In reply to Rosewood (msg # 71):

you realize that while the frost elf already despises you, there is nothing to gain from actually placing her in irons, but offering to remove them from sight could place ger in a position of debt; taking her to be comelled to speak the truth may garner information; turning her over to Dilandua after NOT placing her in irons might move things along in a way that keeps her from acting against her.

"If custody is necessary, I will do so.  It might be best if we await until they awaken to transfer custody, thus giving them the option of refusal.  They may prefer to remain in a hostile environment, rather than accept another's responsibility for their good behavior. Regardless, I will certainly join you on behalf of Winter to convey truthfully what takes place, lest my cousin chose to blacken the Guild's reputation with slander later."

The pale elf has stopped fake smiling and just looks blankly neutral.

Virgilio speaks, to whomever is nearby.  "I find myself in a rather odd position -- I have little to offer a group of adventurers, but would prefer not to simply laze around the city waiting for my money or my luck to run out.

"One thing adventurers might find useful is a spell I know that prevents getting lost, as well as a couple ways to test if there is magic about.  Other than that, I can make lights, create and extinguish fires, and create water.  And I've recently learned to use a crossbow."
