Oh! You want some of this, too!?

Elias said, "Thank you." to Meina, then to everyone, "More incoming, 4 larger than us and one that is...really big." Then he used his flame gun to burn some more of these things.

Round 3. Fight!

     Round 3, Action 1:

Squad 120 acts first. LT Curtiss yells, “They’re trying to capture us alive! Get the wounded into the APCs and retreat!” At that the Squad 120 members concentrate on rescuing their downed comrades rather than shooting at the new foes. The APCs start firing their antipersonnel weapons. Four shots from the autocannons. They all hit and injure your opponents. Next the eight antipersonnel lasers. Each of them hits and wounds a swordfist. Meina rushes to aid Elias. Shawn shoots his Zapper at the swordfists’ heads. Both shots hit a separate swordfist in the head, killing them both. The swordfists and quasi-wolves continue to close the distance. Zato takes a shot at one of the swordfists as he runs towards Beaumont to assist him. The shot misses, however. Dom casts Superhuman Agility onto himself followed by casting Lifeblast onto Weirdwolf. Beaumont slowly backs towards the APCs while shooting. His shot hits a swordfist in the chest, seriously wounding it. Elias is waiting for Meina to come to him to help.

     Round 3, Action 2:

The APCs attack while the Squad 120 members are busy recovering their wounded. Four shots from the autocannons are fired. They all managed to hit and wound the swordfists further. Now the eight antipersonnel lasers are fired. Five hit their respective targets and the swordfists are further wounded. Meina has just reached Elias. Shawn rapidly reloads his Zapper and fires twice. The first shot hits a swordfist in the chest, wounding and stunning it. The second shot completely misses the target. The swordfists and quasi-wolves continue to close the gap. Two of them have reached Meina and attack. Meina easily parries the first attack and the second swordfist completely blow its attack (rolled a Nat 1 but saved on its fumble save roll.) Zato has reached Beaumont and cast Armor of Ithan onto him. Dom casts Superhuman Agility onto Weirdwolf and then Multiple Images onto himself. Beaumont continues his attack on the swordfist and fires his weapon, but misses. Elias continues to wait for Meina’s help.

     Round 3, Action 3:

The Squad 120 members are helping their squadmates to the APCs. Meanwhile the APC crews fire at the enemy again. Four shots from the autocannons which result in several of the swordfists being further injured. Next the antipersonnel lasers. Five of their shots hit, further wounding them. Meina slaps her tattoo and heals Elias’ broken leg. Shawn fires at one of the swordfist’s attacking Meina, but both shots missed. The enemy attacks next. Squad 120 is attacked by several swordfists and quasi-wolves. They appear to continue to try to disable the militia members as they appear to be aiming at their legs. One more Squad 120 member is disabled with a broken leg. A swordfist attacks Meina but she has no trouble parrying its attack. A swordfist attacks Shawn and hits him for 11 MD to his Invincible Armor. A swordfist hits Zato with a critical hit for 24 MD to his Armor of Ithan. Zato counterattacks and hits the swordfist in the chest, wounding it. Four swordfists attack Dom. Well, try to. Three of them attack his false images. One swordfist guesses correctly, but Dom evades the attack easily. One swordfist attacks Beaumont and hits him for 9 MD to his Armor of Ithan. A swordfist attacks Weirdwolf, but it fumbles its attack. Zato moves to help Elias and shoots at the swordfist that just attacked him, but misses. Don shoots at the swordfist that just attacked him twice, both shots aimed at its head. His aim is a little off and both shots hit the swordfist in the torso instead. Still, that looked like it hurt as the swordfist yells loudly. Beaumont takes his shot at his attacker, killing it. Elias takes a shot at a swordfist near him, critically wounding it.

     Round 3, Action 4:

The Squad 120 members start shooting at the Swordfists that have caught up to them. Four shots hit the swordfists further wounding and stunning them. The autocannons remain silent as the enemy is too close to use. The antipersonnel lasers fire. Seven hits later they’re further wounded. Meina launches a pair of kick attacks and kills two swordfists. Shawn shoots his Zapper twice, but misses both times. The enemy attacks again. Several swordfists and quasi-wolves attack the Squad 120 members. After several attacks two more Squad 120 members are disabled. A swordfist and a quasi-wolf attack Meina. She easily parries both attacks. A swordfist and a quasi-wolf attack Shawn. The swordfist totally misses but the quasi wolf hits Shawn’s Invincible Armor for 5 MD. A swordfist and a quasi-wolf attack Zato. The swordfist and quasi-wolf hits him for 15 MD, dispelling his Armor of Ithan force field. A swordfist and a quasi-wolf attack Dom next. Fortunately for him he manages to auto-dodge both attacks. A swordfist and a quasi-wolf attack Beaumont next. The swordfist hit him for 9 MD and the quasi-wolf for 10 MD. Weirdwolf is attacked by a quasi-wolf.  It bites Weirdwolf for 4 MD but takes damage to its mouth from biting his glass wool like furry body. Zato takes a shot at the swordfist that attacked him as he moves to help Elias, but misses. Dom attacks his opponents. The first shot disintegrates the swordfist’s head. The second shot hits the quasi-wolf in the torso, seriously wounding it. Beaumont shoots at his opponent, seriously wounding it with his weapon. Elias shots his opponent again, finishing it off.

     Round 3, Action 5:

Squad 120 members still able attack the enemy. Several hits later two of the swordfists are killed. The antipersonnel lasers are fired. Four of the shots hit, further wounding them. Meina launches two kick attacks, killing a swordfist and a quasi-wolf. Shawn is out of actions. The enemy attacks next. A swordfist and quasi-wolf attack Meina. The swordfist misses by a mile (Nat 1) while the quasi-wolf bites her left leg, doing 6 MD to it. A swordfist and a quasi-wolf attack Shawn. Both hit him and damage his Invincible Armor for 16 MD. A swordfist and quasi-wolf attack Zato next. The swordfist hits Zato in the chest for 10 MD and the quasi-wolf bites his left leg, doing 6 MD to it. Zato counterattacks both times, striking both of them in the torso. Now several swordfists and quasi-wolves attack Dom. Or try to anyway. Several are still trying to attack his fake images. Two correctly picked him out, but he evades their attacks anyway. A swordfist and quasi-wolf attack Beaumont. The swordfist hits Beaumont for 12 MD. The quasi-wolf missed. A swordfist attacks Weirdwolf, hitting him in the left leg for 9 MD. Zato cast Armor of Ithan onto Elias. Dom is out of actions. Beaumont shoots the swordfist attacking him, killing it. Elias shoots a wounded swordfist and finished it off.

Ariella had freaked out at the sight of the big bugs, had been unable to act.  Now, with the strange wolf-things, she had had the same problem.
Now, she shrugs it off and flits over to where the wounded are being collected.  She begins to fire her tiny sleep arrows at swordfist bugs and quasi-wolves, hoping to drop as many as she can.

15:18, Today: Ariella rolled 8 using 1d20+5.  Dodge-Flying.

We don’t leave our people behind!

My lack of marksmanship is starting to hurt my pride, but at least when I do hit them in the head it’s enough to kill them in one shot. Several of the Squad 120 guys are off their feet and judging by the screaming they’re not dead yet. If we want to keep them that way we’ve got to act fast.
I yell, “Get the wounded into the APCs! Now!”
Meanwhile I’m trying to get these smucks off of me and off my colleagues.
((Same order of attack priorities as before and I’m still aiming for the swordfists’ heads but at the quasi-wolves’ torsos.))

Get to the choppa!

After hearing Shawn yell about helping Squad 120 Meina looks over to assess the situation. Definitely less than good. Among other things she can’t heal anyone else’s leg like she just did Elias’. That tattoo uses up more than half her PPE. After they escape the wounded can be treated. But first we have to escape.
She augments the order by adding, “Anyone with supernatural strength move the wounded! Everyone else clear a path for us!”
At that Meina rushes to help Squad 120, attacking any of the enemies along the way that get between her and her squadmates. Once she reaches them she picks up two of them and throws them over her shoulders. Luckily she was trained in kick boxing so if something gets between her and the APCs they’ll get a boot to the head.

Start with the part where Jayne…

gets knocked out by a 90-pound girl 'cause... I don't think that's ever getting old.

The situation is bad and getting worse. I’m not worried about myself. Besides being fairly tough I have more than a few survival tricks up my sleeve, but those won’t help my friends. So first thing’s first. I sling my Zapper and rush to Squad 120. Anything that gets in my way gets a knuckle sandwich to the face. Once I get to one of the wounded I grab them and hoist them over my left shoulder to keep my right hand free. If anything attacks me as I’m trying to get the wounded to the APC, again a knuckle sandwich to the face.

Round 4. Fight!

     Round 4, Action 1:

Squad 120 is busy trying to rescue their wounded. The antipersonnel lasers fire at the swordfists eight times. Three of the lasers hit, killing one swordfist and further wounding the others. Meina rushes to help the wounded, killing two swordfists that got in her way. Shawn shoots a swordfist that had attacked him in the head, killing it. He then shoots a quasi-wolf, seriously wounding it. Ariella takes aim at a swordfist and fires at it with her magic arrow. It’s a hit and the swordfist drops unconscious. Weirdwolf leaps up into the air and then superhero lands among the monsters attacking Squad 120. The monsters attack next. Several swordfists attack Squad 120, but aren’t able to do much more to harm them. One swordfist attacks Zato, striking him in the left leg and doing 13 MD to it. The quasi-wolves attack Squad 120. Two of the Squad members are disarmed and one is killed. Two attack Meina, but she manages to parry both attacks. The second attack just barely, but she still blocks it. Shawn is attacked by two quasi-wolves and the two hit him for 11 MD to his Invincible Armor. Two quasi-wolves attack Weirdwolf with their barbed tails and both of them hit him in the left leg for 8 MD total. Zato is attacked by two quasi-wolves. One hits him in the left leg for 3 MD, the other hits him in the torso for 3 MD. Zato counterattacks and hit both of them in the torso. Two quasi-wolves attack Dom, but they both miss so no concerns there. Two quasi-wolves attack Elias. Together they manage to do 12 MD to his Armor of Ithan. Two quasi-wolves attack Beaumont and hit him for 8 MD to his Armor of Ithan. Zato slings his Zapper away and then punches a quasi-wolf, further injuring it. Dom fires at the swordfists twice. The first shot is ruined by an ill timed sneeze. The second shot disintegrates his target’s head. Elias flame broils a wounded swordfist, killing it. Beaumont moves in to collect the wounded.

     Round 4, Action 2:

Squad 120 is busy trying to rescue their wounded. The antipersonnel lasers fire at the quasi-wolves eight times. There are seven hits and the quasi-wolves are wounded. Meina kills two more swordfists and has now reached the wounded Squad 120 members. Shawn then shoots two of the quasi-wolves, killing them both. He’s now free of opponents. Ariella takes aim with her bow. Weirdwolf attacks all the enemy around him, easily killing one but completely missing the other. The swordfists and quasi-wolves attack next. Two of the swordfists attack Squad 120 and manages to disarm one of them. One swordfist attacks Zato. It hits him in the torso for 13 MD, but Zato successfully counterattacks, further wounding it. The quasi-wolves take their turn. Two attack the Squad 120 members. One of them  manages to disable a squad member. Two attack Meina, but she easily parries their attacks. Two attack Shawn and one misses but the other hits him for 5 MD. Two quasi-wolves attack Weirdwolf, one misses but the other hits him in the left leg for 8 MD. Two quasi-wolves hit Zato in his torso for 8 MD. Zato counterattacks, killing the first one and further wounding the second. Two attack Dom but he easily evades their attacks. Two others attack Elias and they hit him for 9 MD to his Armor of Ithan. Two attack Beaumont and they both hit his left leg for 9 MD total. Zato smacks a quasi-wolf in the head, snapping its neck, killing it. Dom takes aim, and sneezes again, ruining his shot. His next shot is much better and he slays a Swordfist. Elias fires at a quasi-wolf and kills it. Beaumont grabs an incapacitated Squad 120 member and heads to their APC.

     Round 4, Action 3:

Squad 120 attacks next. The APCs Fire their antipersonnel lasers. One Swordfist and one quasi-wolf are killed and two quasi-wolves are further wounded. Meina grabs two of the wounded squad members and starts running with them to the APC. Shawn shoots at the quasi-wolves attacking him. The first shot kills one of the quasi-wolves while the second seriously injures it. Ariella fires her arrow and hits a quasi-wolf, but it resists the sleep effect. Weirdwolf attacks one of the quasi-wolves next to him. First biting it and then slicing it to pieces with his wings, killing it. The enemy attacks next. A swordfist attacks Zato, hitting him in the torso for 16 MD. Zato in turn counterattacks and hits the Swordfist in the head, wounding it. Two quasi-wolves attack Squad 120 members. One manages to hit the squad member in the leg the other fails to disarm its opponent. Two quasi-wolves attack Meina, but she easily parries their attacks. Two quasi-wolves attack Shawn and both hit him for a total of 13 MD to his Invincible Armor. Two quasi-wolves attack Weirdwolf, but he easily evades their attacks. Two more attack Zato, with one missing him while the other hits him in the torso for 7 MD. Zato manages to successfully counterattack both quasi-wolves and kill them both. Two quasi-wolves attack Dom, but he easily avoids their attacks. Two quasi-wolves attack Elias and together they manage to do 10 MD to his Armor of Ithan. Two more quasi-wolves attack Beaumont as he evacuated with the wounded Squad 120 member. One hits him for 5 MD, the other completely misses him. Zato punches the Swordfist that attacked him in the chest as he runs back to the APC. Dom shoots two different quasi-wolves in the head, killing them both. Elias shoots and kills a wounded quasi-wolf. Beaumont has reached Squad 120’s APC, but he has a problem. How to open the door and let get the wounded inside without letting the enemy that has followed him inside too. By the way, the noise of several big somethings coming your way is getting louder.

     Round 4, Action 4:

The APCs fire their antipersonnel lasers at the nearest quasi-wolves. Only three of the shoots hit, but two of the quasi-wolves were already wounded and are killed. Meina kicks the two quasi-wolves attacking her. She easily kills them both. Shawn shoots the two quasi-wolves attacking him and manages to kill them both. Ariella takes aim with her bow. Weirdwolf attacks two quasi-wolves with his forearm blades. The first quasi-wolf parries his attack but he manages to kill the second. The enemy attacks next. A swordfist attacks Zato and hits him in his left leg for 18 MD. Zato counterattacks and kills it. A quasi-wolf attack Elias, hitting him for 6 MD. Two quasi-wolves attack Beaumont hits him for 20 MD altogether. Zato reaches the APC and attacks one of the quasi-wolves attacking Beaumont. His blow breaks the quasi-wolf’s neck, killing it. Dom shoots the two quasi-wolves in the head, killing them both.
That ends up being the last of them, so I guess that means Beaumont no longer has to worry about how to get the wounded inside the APC without letting the swordfists or quasi-wolves in too. However, the situation is far from over and you know it. With the sounds of combat over the sound so several somethings big and heavy coming towards you is even more audible. Squad 120 is for all intents and purposes out of commission. One is dead and seven have been incapacitated; including LT Curtiss and the squad leader. There is one guy left and his armor is such bad shape that it looks like one good stiff breeze and it’ll fall apart like the Bluesmobile at the end of The Blues Brothers.
You just manage to get all of the wounded into Squad 120’s APC when the next wave arrives, and boy is it ugly.
There are four monstrous beings that are roughly the same size and shape as an elephant, but you’re sure as hell not going to mistake them as such. Besides the fact that they’re covered in blotchy reddish orange chitin exoskeleton like everything else you’ve encountered recently, they’re lacking trunks and large ears that elephants have. They have tusks, but they’re different. Instead of curved, conical tusks they’re flat. It’s more like they have scimitars growing out next to their mouths.
There’s a fifth monster and it’s even worse. It’s even bigger. About the size of a T-Rex, but there are a few important differences. First, the reddish orange blotchy chitin exoskeleton. Second, it’s four legged instead of standing upright with vestigial arms. Third, its mouth is like the Yautja from The Predator series.
It roars in a sound similar to the T-Rex from Jurassic Park. It then spits out a glob of yellow green mucus at Squad 125’s APC and hits the front of said APC. The phlegm covers the front of the APC and coats it. Over the radio you can hear Scott grouse, “Oh, come on! I just washed and waxed this thing!
So a couple things to cover here. First, roll verses horror factor. It’s high here. You need a 20 to not freeze up. Second, post your actions for Round 5. You have until 1600 ET May 15 to post your actions. Good hunting!

We’re in some pretty shit now!

Meina freezes up at the sight of the new monsters. Besides being big and ugly, one of them spat out a giant loogie. Like, totally gross!
Once Meina recovers from her mental stall out she recognizes that the squad’s in a pretty bad situation. 120 is out of it and now they’re surrounded by these new monsters. Time to step it up.
“APC 120, get out of here, now! Escape and bring back help! We’ll provide covering fire! Zato, take on the really big and ugly one!” Meina orders over the radio. She then points at the “elephant” between them and edge of the forest and adds, “Clear a path for 120 and take that one out!
Meina then rushes up to said “elephant” to take it out.
((I normally get 10 attacks but I lost one from being horrified, then some more from barking orders and even more from running up to the enemy, so I’m going to post 6 attacks and you can take off more if you think it’s appropriate.))

We’re in some pretty shit now!

Beaumont let out grunt each time he was hit, even the ones that didn't get through the magic spell on him. But then it flickered and died and the monsters kept on coming. He grit his teeth a bit and pushed on.

He was still scared, nothing had changed, he was just used to having to work while under deep amounts of stress or fear. So, this time, he tried not to let it bother him when even bigger threats, literally, showed up. He'd gotten the injured he could, barring himself, on to the APC with the help of everyone else, and that was good enough for his medic mind.

He pulled his Bug Zapper out as the bigger creatures headed towards them, equal parts fascinated and disgusted at the "new" creatures, and one of them being able to...spit out some substance? He shoved the biological analysis to the back of his mind and began firing at one of the 'elephants'.

How about “No?” Does “No” work for you?

Seeing the big and uglies I whisper to myself, “Fuck. Me. Sideways. No. Just… No.” But we don’t have time for that. Instead I reach out with my left hand towards the biggest one. To my squadmates it probably looks like I’m trying to grab something. I suppose in a way I am.
     Bio-Manipulation: Paralysis
I hit them with my paralysis power four times. First the big guy until he goes down or he resists four times. I then hit the “elephant” ones, trying to clear a path out of here back the way we came. After that I reserve my inner strength in case I need it. I don’t want to expel all of my energy at once. These guys keep surprising us. Instead, after the fourth Bio-Manipulation attack I take aim with my Zapper at whichever “elephant” is the biggest threat to our escape. I’m aiming for its head.
((Just in case something tries to spit something onto me like the big ugly did our APC I’m rolling to parry with my TK Force Field.))

Let’s get ready to rrrrruuuuummmmble!!!

I see the big one roar and spit something onto our APC. How are we going to fight this thing? I mean, this son of a bitch is huge! I mean… it’s, it’s big!
     …
Oh, right, I’m not actually human. Forgot about that.
I start running towards the really big ugly mother fucker and start to transform back into my natural form. Once transformed I extend my frills and roar as loud as I can at it to try to intimidate it. Not sure if it’ll work, but worth the shot. I also cast Armor of Ithan onto myself for extra protection.
Once I get close to it I exhale my breath weapon into its face. Once it’s down I focus on one of the “elephant” monsters.
((My plan is to rush up to the biggest monster and try to paralyze it with my gas breath. Assuming Shawn doesn’t paralyze it first. If he does I’ll attack one of the other monsters instead. If the monster resists my breath attack then I’ll grapple it and hold it in place until I can gas it again. If anything attacks me I’ll use my tail to parry their attacks.))

Let’s get ready to bravely run away!

“Hello terror my old friend,” came the modified song lyric though Dom’s mind. That was the best it could do under the circumstances. When this was all over, assuming he lived of course, he would look into purchasing an amulet of protection against freaking out. To be fair though, he wasn’t actually freaking out, he was too scared for that so it was more a shocked stupor. “Wait, get it together Dom, big monsters, got to slow them down, have to help everyone escape, focus!”

Recovered from his moment of shock, Dom exerts his will and casts four spells or rather one spell, four times, in rapid succession. Underneath each of the smaller (but by no means small) monsters, a supernaturally strong carpet of adhesion appears. Everyone familiar with basic magic will recognize the spell and that while strong enough to hold even a dragon in place, it won’t hurt the victim in the slightest. His next spell also won’t cause them any harm but should help with their escape; three thick clouds of smoke appear around them.

OOC
OK failed HF roll even after I remembered that you want the ME bonus included and re-rolled. Seems to be a theme with Dom; failing HF saves.

Cast Carpet of Adhesion four times under each of the not T-rex monsters. Next three Cloud of Smoke spells. Each cloud is 30x30x30 ft so I’m hoping I can cover all four of the monsters I just glued in place. I’d have aimed for the T-rex but with PCs already taking the fight to him, I didn’t want to catch them in the spells.

Round 5. Fight!

     Round 5, Action 1:

Shawn swallows back any fear he might have had and goes on the offensive by hitting the huge monster with his Bio-Manipulation power. The first attack doesn’t stop it. It just shakes its head as if a fly landed on its nose. However, on the second attack the giant beast falls over and stays motionless. Weirdwolf laughs in the face of peril and attacks. He rushes towards the huge monster to make sure it stays down. The monsters attack next. The really big one is just lying there while the four “elephants” start to charge at Squad 120’s APC. Beaumont takes a shot at one of the “elephants” and just barely hits it, but it’s still a hit. It does, however manage to resist the stunning effect. Meina freezes for a second but then recovers enough to start yelling orders into the radio. Zato forgets for a moment that he’s a dragon, not a human and freezes up too. Dom freezes up for a moment, but recovers and casts “Carpet of Adhesion” underneath one of the “elephant” monsters. It stops in its tracks immediately and kind of violently too. It looks confused as it tries to break free. Elias doesn’t react yet. The Squad 120 APC swivels its rail gun and laser turrets at one of the “elephants” and fires. Both bursts of gunfire hits the “elephant” but it keeps charging. Your APC follows suit and fires. Mostly. The laser turret is covered in the mucus the big one spat out earlier and is out of commission. However the rail gun is still functional and fires, but misses.

Round 5, Action 2:

Shawn hits one of the “elephants” with his Bio-Manipulation power, but it resists both attacks. Weirdwolf reached the disabled really big and ugly and attacks it. The “elephant” monsters attack next. The three unstuck monsters have reached and attack Squad 120’s APC. They ram and slice at it with their tusks, doing some damage to the vehicle. Beaumont takes another shot, hitting a different “elephant” and wounding it. Meina continues to give orders for APC 120 to evacuate while Squad 125 provides covering fire. There is an interesting detail. The transmission is staticky. You can still understand her fine, but it’s like listening to a radio that’s not quite tuned to the correct frequency. Zato recovers from his shock and transforms back into his dragon form. Dom casts Carpet of Adhesion twice more onto the “elephants”. Elias mounts his robot horse and suggests that you bravely run away. APC 120 follows Meina’s orders and start to move out. They take some shots at the “elephants” as they go. Its rail gun and laser turrets fire and they both hit the same “elephant.” They then aim the antipersonnel lasers at the other two “elephants” with all four turrets hitting their mark. Your APC also tries to make a run for it, but the two pairs of front wheels are gunked up and don’t spin. The gunners do take their shots at the “elephants”. The rail gun and one of the antipersonnel lasers miss their targets, but the other three antipersonnel lasers hit and further wound the two “elephants”.

     Round 5, Action 3:

Shawn takes aim with his Zapper and fires. The first shot hits the “elephant” in the torso, the second hits it squarely in the face. You’re not sure, but based on the look on its face it was affected by the Zapper’s stunning effect. Weirdwolf continues his attack on the defenseless monster. The “elephants” attack next. Or at least try to. Two of them quickly discover to their displeasure that they’re stuck to the forest floor and are rooted in place. One of them is still free and chases after the APC and hits it with its tusks, doing further damage to it. Beaumont takes a shot at that monster and hits it. Meina finishes giving her orders to the squad. Zato casts Armor of Ithan onto himself. Dom casts Carpet of Adhesion onto the fourth “elephant” causing it to stop right in its tracks.
For the moment the monsters have been neutralized, but that’s not the end of the story. Not even close. Hawke radios to you that the APC is stuck. That the wheels that were slimed aren’t moving much if at all. Like Meina’s radio broadcast it’s very staticky. You can also hear more monsters approaching. They’re not in sight yet, but as APC 120 drives away you get a radio broadcast from their copilot/communications officer. He reports that there are several more monsters approaching and fast. The transmission is also staticky. You hear the APC fire its weapons as it drives off.
You get a couple of actions to prepare before the next wave arrives. Then roll for Round Six! You have until 1600 EDT May 23rd. Good hunting!

Not much more for me to do to get ready, but I have an idea.
     See Aura
I decide that getting a little intel on their nature might be a good idea. I check out both the “elephants” and the big guy. Once the new enemies are in sight I repeat my last performance. I hit them with Bio-Manipulation: Paralysis four times; concentrating on the big ones first it there’s more of them; and then shooting my Zapper at an “elephant’s” head four times.

Zato is ready for whatever comes their way. As soon as whatever shows up he rushes to grapple with it. Once they’re face to face he exhales his poison breath in its face. If they’re paralyzed I move onto the next enemy and hold them back from my squad. If not, I hold onto them so they can’t attack my squadmates. If anything tries to attack me, I parry their attacks with my tail.

But it didn't seem like that would be the case. He let out a sigh and hauled the bug zapper back up, waiting for...whatever else was coming to rear it's ugly head before opening fire again.

From previous melee...
Seeing that his original idea of casting clouds of smoke on the now stuck monsters to further aid in exfiltrating the area would be counter productive, Dom instead lays down more areas of adhesive. He can't see whatever monsters are making the racket as they approach, not yet but if they are the same size as these ones, he can hardly guess far wrong since their target must be, well, him and his squad.

OOC
3 more CoAs, placing them behind the current areas already covered. Meaning further away from us, along the line of advance from the sounds of the next monster wave and our position.
