Troels is uncharacteristically responding badly, barely dodging back out of the way as his wild swing sticks the pick into a wooden pillar.

Troels surprise at the fellows attack has him back peddling, Blythe is also surprised but already on edge, so reacts by shoving her light shield into the attackers face and grabbing his right arm at the wrist. He is stronger, but she has him unable to see and struggling to get his weapon arm free. Her kick to his family jewels is off slightly but adds another distraction tothe fighter who is now trying to back away., which he just barely manages to do.... Blythe steps back and draws her sword.

Troels balances himself and swing the pick over his head and into the top of the other mans skull, unless he dodges well! He is ready to drop back if needed, wrenching the pick free if required to do so.

The Soldier moves to avoid the pick, but only manages enough to cause the pick to be deflected off his helmet and into his left shoulder pad (armored epaulette)  where it pierces down into his shoulder, making his shield drop onto it's strap.. The pick is buried in his shoulder pad and chest, so does not come free.  The man tries to yell something but it is unclear as blood comes from his mouth with the yell.

Blythe is ready to stab,  but holds as he staggers back pulling on the pick handle.

In reply to Troels 'Longspear' Brynjolf (msg # 946):

Well his armor would make it impossible to do anything but lift it back out, but it is sufficient and the man staggers backwards, while one of the other four now backs out and turns toward you and Blythe.   Blythe looks to be the easy kill, so he pushes the wounded man back toward you and swings at Blythe, who neatly dodges and swings her blade across the back of his sword arm, it's a bad blow which only scratches his armor, but also disrupts his backswing.
Blythe steps back and brings her shield up and readies another blow, studying this guy.... He also steps back, surprised a bit by her deft response.

As Blythe's attacker steps back, opening up space between them, Roahfustion lets fly with her sling stone at him.

Simple enough, 1D6 pi is the damage; it hit him in the face, causing him to stumble and fall, thus avoiding Troel's blow.

He is obviously dazed and Blythe can move forward and put her sword to his throat Surrender and drop your weapons and shield or die.

The fellow, obviously not all together does as demanded.

With three fighters to their front and Troels and Blythe moving up behind them, the "bad guys" ask for terms to surrender. [4 is a very bad reaction, in this case to fighting on]

The men to their front demand they drop their weapons and shields, then march slowly out into the court yard, and ask the Troels and Blythe guard the front so they can run and no one will attack them.

Well actually the others will be pushed up to the fellow you have on his knees. Then all of them go out front as prisoners.
The Various local militia's are delighted to see them brought out and the three soldiers they had been fighting thank you for you timely help as they can.
You are quickly relieved of guarding them and can look around.

Well out the back side of the Stable is a path to the tower and a small door while just inside the stable is a stair case headed down.

Nothing much here you wouldn't expect in a stable.

You end up in the basement, it's not quite a dungeon, although there are a few folks locked up down here, you don't know if the are Highstone's people or just crooks.
There is some wine, hams, sausages and such stored here and some weapons behind a locked iron grate door. Tere is a workshop on the opposite side of some stairs leading up into the tower itself.

There is a box on the wall that is locked, it might hold the keys.
Going upstairs you find some disarray, although not too bad; lots of soldiers and the staff trying to make sure things are not lifted by the various people in the tower.
Near the top you find Lady Highstones with her Guard Captain and several other hangers on you have not seen before, from their clothing, you'd assume local men of some import.
