FYI,
The Judge was giving Tracy extra time because of the situation at hand. The Initiative draw was fortunate for the heroes to save Earnest from bleeding out. Tracy's turn is just before Daniel Knight, who will make a Healing roll. The Judge figured Tracy might try to give Support for that roll, so didn't want to advance before giving ample time for the Wolverine to post.

However, at this time, the Judge hasn't been able to reach the player, so we'll move forward with Tracy on Hold and the Judge will post Daniel's turn sometime this morning.

As it happens, I was able to reach Tracy this morning before I was ready to move on. So it worked out. Posting for Daniel soon.

The Judge communicated with Tommy outside of RPOL. Expecting a post today, but if it doesn't happen in the next couple of hours, Pearce will go on Hold and it will become Earnest and Tracy's turn, as the professor can't really do actions yet and the player advised us he would be traveling this week.

The Judge belatedly updated the Game Map 2 for the Chase. Did all the work this morning to produce the updated line of cards and moving the characters ... but didn't post the new image until just now.

Point of clarification: Daniel and Earnest are less than 100 yards from the invader's tent/camp, which is on the mesa, and the riders are all heading away from that camp, right? Are Daniel and Earnest on the mesa too, or just down from it?

Also, now that Earnest is not incapacitated, can he make a healing support roll for Daniel? I know it would be at -3.

Daniel and Earnest are roughly 100 yards east of the camp -- and only slightly closer to the mesa. This is the difficult terrain just below and around the mesa. They would need to travel roughly 70-80 yards to reach the mesa and then another 20-30 to ascend and approach the camp.

The Judge would allow any Smarts-linked skill rolls for the professor -- at -3 as you say, until Daniel completes his work. However, the Judge already made the Healing roll for Daniel in msg #333. So it's too late for the professor to Support.

The Judge is simply providing flavor during the Chase, but it will be 10 minutes in game time before Earnest can move. He can talk to Daniel and discuss things -- and even make those Smarts-linked skill checks (at �3 for now) but the Chase will be long over before Earnest can move.

Woot! As one who perhaps has too much spare time on his hands, I noticed just now that Padre's recent post numbered #29,000.

Sit back and think about that for a moment. This has to be one of the longest-running games here on RPoL. Why, it'll be challenging "Gunsmoke's" longevity before we know it! :)

All kidding aside, congratulations to The Judge for having such a fine, long-running game.

As an aside I recently got quite the chuckle out of the mental image of the judge setting the playing cards up and moving little pog-looking things with our character faces forward and back and trying to get a good picture. I dont know I found the absurdity really funny.


Never having had any other RPOL experience, I fear the bar is set too high.

First, thanks Jake. I recall you posting a similar message when we hit an earlier count. I'm just grateful to have had a number of players over time who have participated and made this a fun game.

Second, Padre, that's hilarious. It's not how I do it. At least, not fully. I do take a photo of the cards, but then I manipulate the pog tokens and capture the final image electronically, for posting in the Game Map section. Sorry, I can't reveal any further trade secrets about that part.

It has been going for a long time... I got into the game in Oct 2011, but it had started ~3 years before that!

Been a lot of fun and the Judge's dedication to it is the biggest part of that!

...Are there any RPol stats that would tell you where we rank as 'longest running'?
