Re: OOC #5
right...
First and foremost, is RP , interactions with NPCs and especially PCs
the RP is also taken into account for battles, how NPCs react to you ect. For battles , You say what you are doing , state you target and send me the dice roll ( if i ask for one)..most times my dice roll will be done, off board , some times its a 'big moment' and I'll have you roll and state the outcome, ..either way, You'll RP it out from your point of view
Now? those of you that Know me, Know i am an older guys,,in fact , most of us here would be considered 'older'. I still play pick up (flag) football every sunday, I'm not great as i sued to be, but i can make s few big plays now and then.
in my life, whether watching Movies, reading books or seeing stuff in RL, helps me flesh out most of the NPCs , others get more attention when the Players focus on them..
( the Girl that ran across the street to hide?..is she important? or is she just fluff ? You don't know until you ask.)
There are times i did good things for good reasons, I have also did bad things for good reasons . I hate the trope where the good guys 'after to take the bad guys in for trail'...the bad guys escape, and Kill more people, and do more harm. In my mind, those 'heroes' are responsible for every one who died, who would not have, had they killed the bad guy
so every player/character has a different view on this, and it should be reflected in your play..Luthien defers to Kree and Ivy's attentions, that they give their enemies. At the same time he is true enough to his convictions, that he will not take part in certain 'post battle' activities that involve Punishment or questioning .
my guys..in all my games would be Chaotic Good..The end justifies the means with some Vengeance added to the recipe . Pure white gods , would from on him( unless of course they benefitted from those actions) Grey gods who just shrug "whatever it takes' Dark gods would chuckle at the antics, ( unless they benefit from those actions.
so to sum it up..what a character is..is more important than what he does.
