I just corrected that in the private group thread.  You should be able to understand one of the lines, but not the other now.

It's part of the character creation process.  1 language means 1 spoken language (typically, Common).  2 languages means you can choose your spoken language plus reading and writing in that language.  3 or more languages means you understand additional languages (typically, with 3 languages, you pick your racial language as the third one, and with 4 or more, you pick more non-traditional ones, which could include Allevian, other racial languages, or whatever).

It's based on your intelligence.  Here's the chart (from Player's Handbook):

I figured it out. It's because your previously played character here understood Allevian and I never removed him from your control.  Now Shapfren should hear the jumbled mess.

Important for new players:

Please designate in your character sheets that your primary weapon is a +2 magical weapon.  (This substitutes for a previous benefit I gave new players regarding magic items...before Augmantium took away all magic from items in Tienna.  I wasn't planning to give this benefit, but I feel I need to given the enemies you are facing.)

Did my spell go off or does it take longer than a round to cast?

It will go off, but I was building in the time for him to find and pick up a rock, cast the spell, and then throw the rock, which will go into the next round.

Yes.  There is a 15 foot distance between floors, as noted in the description of the endless teleportal room, so we'll stick with that.

FYI, due to the holidays, I may not post again until Monday.  You are all still conscious, though most of you are getting low on hit points.  The death knight is also low, though the other demons may be returning soon...

Hey looking to see what WP skills are out there in our group. I have a new slot open and want to find the available weapons I could *learn* from the group. THanks.

Borimer uses the long sword and the long bow if you want either of those

my newest wp slot was longsword, before it was dagger, shortbow(need one of those) and shortsword

Yeah my current wp slots are dagger, short sword, blow gun, and short bow. I have a new slot and have to find something to spend it on. For his stature I don't think a long bow would work or long sword. I do thank everyone for their quick responses to my question. I say this is a great group of players, and a very inventive GM.

How about one of the specialization WP styles like two weapon or single weapon?  They are in the fighters handbook.  If you don't have it PM me and I'll email it to you.  You could either go with a short sword/dagger combo, or go with short sword, keep your other hand free and still get +1 to AC.  Grung went with two slots in single weapon style and got +2 to AC (the max allowed).  I found that having a free hand came in 'handy' several times in his adventuring career.

Well the problem with that is I am already specialized in dagger. I am also multi-class warrior/rogue. I can't have more than one weapon specialization. Though I am not sure if that counts on weapon styles. DM Call on that.

They are styles and don't count for weapon specialization.  You can take them multiple times too and the benefits stack, though there are limits on each one as to how many times you can take each individual one.  You could theoretically have two weapon and single weapon and switch back and forth as you see fit.  There is also two handed and weapon/shield style, but I personally don't like them.
