Re: OOC Community Chat 4

Maybe he did.  That was just a plot advancement point and I can't remember exactly how it was devised.  I mainly wanted to bring closure to all the loose ends before this adventure ends, and the point with that one was that his entourage was following so we could get closure with the Orc king situation and Grung.

So far, you have seen or will see closure to the following in this adventure:

1) Grung/Orc King
2) The Human King (remember the lich?)
3) The end of the world (Kuvlah Tah)
4) The demons chasing after you (pending)
5) The mission goals presented by Marcus and Naj (Marcus had the parchment and protected the human king; Naj had a vendetta because the humans abandoned the elves at the battle with the orcs.)
6) The issues presented with this adventure (the Time Ark, Syrissa, Esylia, etc.)
7) The identity of certain artifacts
8) The fate of Augmantium (pending)

Are there any other loose ends we did not tie up yet?

You will notice that Tarimar is conspicuously absent as a loose end.  He is actually based out of Allevia and will not be destroyed when the world ends.  Tarimar and the Five Pillars (Artifacts) will be a continuing quest after the world ends.

Re: OOC Community Chat 4

real factoid with no real relevance from the history channel: one professional fires a longbow and the other professional loads and fires a crossbow. the ratio was 7:1 in favor of firing arrows, and thus england took out france circa 1500 or so.  and now we have our irrelevant factoid of the month.

Here will be the newcomers:

Shae Shadowglen:  a female half-elf druid.
Leogold: a male warrior rogue halfling.
Tahldar: a male grey elf mage.
Shapfren: a male elven minstrel.

Note that two of these are the old Grung and Flint players, and two are new to the game.

Re: OOC Community Chat 4

My apologies for the lack of posting. I recently started up a Battletech game that ended up requiring multiple hours a day to update (that is just tracking the paper work alone, not actually posting or doing anything fun).

I've dropped some old games I'm running and cut out the battle tech so my ability to play has greatly increased. In addition the prospect of a new game will help me out because jumping into what turns out to be the final encounter of a game was rather difficult to get my head around. I tried to contribute but this was a somewhat complicated game to jump into.

IN ANY EVENT it was a lot of fun and I look forward to developing Mal further with you guys :)

In reply to Shapfren Diditlew (msg # 959):

My bad.  Shapfren is actually female.

For new players, I will likely give you a couple of nuggets of background that will somehow tie in to everything else, just for fun.

DM Heath:
Borimer and Kahan turn into the room with the overlooking balcony and find themselves face to face with four strangers.

There is a female half-elf, a male halfling, and two male elves.  They seem just as surprised by you as you are of them.

Below, the giant water demon appears to be heading toward the west (throne room) for some reason.

Ejem, you did it again.

Re: OOC Community Chat 4

For new players, Allevian is an ancient language that you may choose as one of your languages if you want (though not necessary and not really common in the land).  You can understand Allevian and likely a lot of spoken Ancient Allevian with that language, and you can read Allevian, but Ancient Allevian used a different script, of which only a handful of people can actually read.

Re: OOC Community Chat 4

Tahldar understands Allevian.  Will that allow him to understand more of what the demons said?
