The Traitor - Anlisade (Borimer, Flint, Arthure)

ANLISADE

Pamaran tells you where Anlisade lives, and you go off in search of this dwarven traitor with the magic necklace.

His living area is a stone fortification built into the side of the mountain.  A wooden door barely tall enough for the human members to step through without kneeling is the only visible entrance, besides some windows on what appears to be a second floor above carved into the stone.

Re: The Traitor - Anlisade (Borimer, Flint, Arthure)

Arthure glade takes a moment to absorb his surroundings.  He looks for things that seem to stand out.  He also looks to see if Anlisade's house is unique compared to the other dwarves.  As he does so he asks, "What does this dwarf do for a living and what is his standing in this community?"   He makes sure to say this in a hush tone.  He is not quite ready to talk to the dwarf yet.  He has knocked on many of doors in his journey offering his service to educate people the benefits of working with nature rather then trying to control it.  So he has some experience striking up conversations with complete strangers.

You don't know any other details about him.  His house is one of a number of them that are built into the side of the mountain.  It's sort of like this:

Flint jokes, "Hello, nice place you have do you have any dealing with Tarimar"

"He got a gambling house, figure we will have to do a bit of gambling to get in."

"Most adventures usually have a tale to tell, and maybe an item or two for sale.  I think that we could try that tact."

Arthur smiles to Flint and says, "Okay so we know he owns a gambling house.  Flint are you much of a gambler?  Because I was thinking you might be the one to do the talking.  I have a few gems and I am willing to put them on the line if it would mean we could strike up a conversation with this guy.  So I was thinking you could be here to challenge him to a game of chance."

OOC: Anlisade is not the gambler.  He is the adventurer who went out for six months.  The other three guys are investigating the gambler.

Arthur sighs, then takes in a deep breath.  He says under his breath, "Here goes nothing."   then knocks on the door and awaits a response.

OOC: oops, that's what I get for listing to the gnome whispering in my ear.  thanks with making things clear.  I will go back and alter the earlier post.

When the door is answered, "Hello, we are interested in speaking with Anlisade.  We have heard that he is a fellow adventurer, much like ourselves and we wanted to seek out some of his wisdom."

After knocking in the door, it creaks slowly open from the pressure of your fist against it, rolling back to reveal an empty room.  It looks like whoever was here has left.

Borimer looks around to make sure no one is watching, and then steps inside to investigate.

Re: The Traitor - Anlisade (Borimer, Flint, Arthure)

The living quarters are divided into a front welcoming room, a back room with dining, and three rooms off to each side of the dining room.  Each of these side rooms is small, containing only a set of bunk beds, except the far left room, which contains one large bed.

All the rooms are stripped bare, leaving only beds.  The dining room also has only a bare table in the center of the room.  One of its chairs against the nearest wall, but the rest are around the dining table.  The front welcoming/living room has only some stools and tables but no adornments.  It looks like they left this place in a hurry.

Borimer examines the area around the chair against the wall, as well as the chair and the wall itself.

Re: The Traitor - Anlisade (Borimer, Flint, Arthure)

Arthure cautiously follows Borimer into the home.  He looks around and says, "Am I the only person who is getting a bad feeling about this?  I mean this could be a set up."   He had to make an effort to keep himself to going into a defensive stance.  He did not want to look to guilty when the guards come barging in accusing them of murder.

Re: The Traitor - Anlisade (Borimer, Flint, Arthure)

Nothing seems strange about the wall or the chair itself.  Borimer finds nothing there.  What had seemed strange was that it was the only chair pulled out from the table.
