Harkahnon Ruins 12 - The Orcs

You begin heading east and enter the throne room (Room 15).  You stop in this room because you hear voices coming from the east (Room 16).  It is a loud voice with an Orcish inflection.

"Where be the kingslayers, thief?  We have unfinished business."

"I don't know," comes back a voice, a very familiar voice.  "I never went in the temple.  I was standing watch."  It is Adaran, and the tone in his voice indicates he is a prisoner of some sort.

Another familiar voice says in Common, "Iffen he knows, he tell soon 'nuff.  They betrayed me.  Cravens all.  And this slobberin' fool led the charge."  The voice belongs to Grung.

[Language unknown: "Anpenc k tra sipa?"] another unfamiliar orc voice responds in Orcish.

[Language unknown: "Caevil ri e t,"] Grung says.  Then he says in Common, "Listen.  What do you hear?"

"Nothing," says another voice, a non-orc.

"'zactly," says Grung.  "The earthquakes and destruction.  Gone."

"Gruumsh take us all," says yet another orc voice in Common before switching to Orcish: [Language unknown: "Tio oles inghouwhe oerec a our ie ble?"]

You hear some quick discussion in muffled Orcish. [Language unknown: "Al Hepric Ard." "Ivepl dios-teinbe." "Unad laee evre." "Cesa witi Ditini." "Ven elset Etint Illoni."]
Grung says something in Orcish.  [Language unknown: "Ul No natama iv, prondeine o no Ainkorwhi Eauce.  Es i e vernd offong reinle."]

OOC: The above was done using the language private lines, so those of you who do not speak Orcish do not know what was said in some lines, while others do.  There are at least a couple of you who speak Orcish and at least a couple who do not.

OOC: Flint and Kahan should be the two who understand what is being said.  I made a correction to the entries (not realizing they are probably case sensitive), so please tell me if you do not understand them still.

Harak whispers, "Do we confront them or go back?  They have Adaran, but he is your companion, not mine, so I will let you decide."  The monk draws his scimitar, leaving one hand open for an open palm strike if needed.

OOC: To Borimer's comment, Malissin hasn't checked in for about a week, so I don't know if he will respond.  I also don't know how he can sneak through a closed door when the orcs are just on the other side, unless Borimer has a specific idea.

As Kahan says this, you hear Grung's voice boom out as he yells at the top of his lungs.  "I know you be here, friends.  Borimer! Kahan! Flint! Harak!  CRAVENS ALL!  You left me to die in ruined world.  Face Grung like warriors!  Or die cowards like Adaran."

He says something more softly to his men in Orcish.  [Language unknown: "And ei.  Alio aiha has."]

Grung laughs.  "The penalty for treason and murder is death.  He committed both.  I am the king.  I sentence him to execution."  He says something in Orcish to someone else.  [Language unknown: Ri he ceta!  Wime ncsti ilpe.]

"Grung, you old half-breed. If you wanna be king of the pigs, that's fine, and if you're gonna blame us for your orc idea of loyalty towards your former companions, go ahead. Hell, it was you that turned your back on us anyway, waited until a better offer came along and then we were just something in your way.  Oh well, life ain't fair, sure enough.  But know this half-breed, if you kill our old companion just to make somethin' from your lies, I'm going to personally rip your throat out."

Re: Harkahnon Ruins 12 - The Orcs

Grung appears beyond reason, his words a litany of curses.  You can only imagine that turning to stone has also turned his mind, for the worse.

"It is done already," he says.  And then he says something to the orcs:  [Language unknown: "Wer asred!  Ilcken ur witthamen hetron!"]

The door between the rooms starts to open.

Borimer's grin is lost in the near darkness when he moves forward to attack whatever comes through the door (assuming no spellcaster makes a move first).

borimer will only go forward if no one seems to be casting a spell towards the door

Kahan pulls out Augmantium and gets ready to open it on the door as soon as it's opened, aiming high so he didn't hit Adaran's body with the anti-magic arc.

Re: Harkahnon Ruins 12 - The Orcs

Grung shouts commands to his warriors in Orcish.

The door opens just a crack and you see a hand reach in and lob something inside at you before slamming the door shut again.  At first you think it might be one of those exploding orbs, and you prepare to dive to the ground.  But it is too large and dark, and looking down, you see that it is the dismembered head of Adaran.

Behind you (from the west), you hear the sound of someone -- or something -- approaching, and you remember the demons wandering around this place.

OOC: I still don't have a move from Malissin.  Will NPC if he doesn't post today.  In the meantime, this should get your blood flowing so we can get the action moved well along this week.  It is unlikely that Grung and his experienced warriors will walk through the door and into a trap, knowing that you are there.

Re: Harkahnon Ruins 12 - The Orcs

You start preparations, and Borimer moves to the western wall just north of the entrance to the room.

Two strange creatures crawl into the room, their backs lined with spikes.  They look like killing machines straight from Hell as they come into the room with chattering claws hitting the ground, and with the swiftness of an insect.

You stand there, jaw dropped, and then you hear Grung yell from the other side of the door:  "Come get us, cowards!"

It is then you notice that these demon creatures have no eyes.  They totally run past you and slam into -- or rather through -- the door, breaking it into splinters as they chase after the voice and noises from the far room where Grung had called.
