How the Lounge Works and Memorials

To post a potential adventure in the Lounge, I need to know how many active PC's there are.  This means that you must indicate to me (either in a PM, in the OOC Board, or in the Crusaders' Lounge Board) that you are hanging out in the Lounge and looking for adventure.

DO THIS EVEN IF YOU HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM AN ADVENTURE!

I will indicate a new adventure by posting the scenario (such as a member of the Shadow Dawn speaks
to you, a stranger enters and tells his story, etc.).  I will indicate the following:
Name of the Adventure: This may or may not be helpful.

Length of the Adventure: This is how I determine the length (based on realtime estimates):

Very Short: Very Short indicates that I think it will be completed
 within a month's time.

Short: Short indicates that I think it will be completed within two month's time.

Medium: Medium indicates that I think it will be completed within three to four months.

Indeterminate: Indeterminate means that it could have offshoots or variations depending
on PC choices.
If I list this, I will generally give you another estimate as well (such as short or
medium).
I do not plan on running any Long or Very Long adventures at this time.  These are all just estimates.  Actual playing time depends mostly on you.

Once you receive the basic scenario, you roleplay your way in (or out) of the potential adventure.  You (the player) are free to do whatever you please.

Suggestions:  I encourage players to make suggestions based on their specific character backgrounds.  The more integrated we can make it, the better.

Dropping out:  If you need to drop out for any reason, please roleplay your way out.  No one likes an ignominious death.

Re: How the Lounge Works

To begin with, I will focus on only very short missions.

If you see a proposed adventure you want to join, then simply post in character your moves and trying to round up a party.  Roleplaying and team building is a key element, so get to know each other.

Once you indicate to me that your party is ready, the adventurers will be off!

I do no team balancing, so your experience points, difficulty of the mission, and scope of abilities available will be up to you to decide.

Re: Memorial

Grizz Henderson:  The amiable and fearless fisherman who never wore a shirt died from the attack of a bonedrinker's fangs in its grappling embrace (Ruins of Harkahnon - Undead Attack thread).  His corpse was unretrievably scorched by the electricity of Flint's lightning bolt sent through the creature to kill it, given the conductive nature of the two entertwined bodies.

Grung:  The tormented half-orc who found out he was the illegitimate son of the orc king had to engage in battle against his own friends in the party to regain the sceptre that would bring his father back to life.  Grung was maimed in the battle, and he used the artifact Augmantium on the group in an attempt to get the sceptre.  While fleeing with the artifact, he was turned to stone by Syrissa because the artifact was needed to escape the end of the world.  (See Syrissa's Chateau thread.)

Re: Memorial

Naj:  "Najomel" was blamed by the human king for his defeat to the orcs and assassination at their hands.  He had been an elven advisor to the king, and the elves had abandoned him at the final battle.  When he returned in a lich-like state, the king used his powers to send Naj to a place where he will be imprisoned, alive, until the end of time unless somehow rescued.

Re: Memorial

Malissin:  Malissin was a fine rogue focused on artifact recovery rather than thievery, but he met his untimely end as a result of the Black Curse, the disease re-emergin on Allevia.

Re: Memorial

Hatchman was a faithful paladin who stood behind to guard the bridge that spanned the chasm between two mountains so his companions could safely cross.  He distracted the giants from chopping down the bridge and delayed them, but was a little too late himself.  A giant threw a spear that skewered Hatchman and sent him flying over the edge of the wobbly rope bridge and into the deep, deep chasm below.

Re: Memorial

Shapfren was a young elven mage with royalty in her blood.  She was run through by the giant sword of a monstrously tall iron golem in the Test of Strength.

EDIT: Shapfren was raised from the dead by Kahan.

Lukas was a young human rogue who was turned to crystal by the breath of a strange dragon on Allevia--and then shattered into a million pieces.
