Poll #23: Quitting Team Matches

So normally, if you quit/forfeit a team match or monster hunt or any match where you have teammates, you are instead automatically disqualified. This punishes people who "bail" on their allies but it means that the allies still get punished too.

I had an idea:
If a person quits/forfeits, what if their character/minions are then simply NPCed by their team members (designated upon that player leaving the match)?

This would make sure that no resources are lost with the team other than the player themselves who clearly doesn't want to/shouldn't/can't be there.

The only problem is stat reveal, as your spells, feats, etc. would need to be revealed to your teammates. I don't see this as a problem as it's a bit of a punishment to whomever ragequits, but not really a severe one.

What do you guys think? Are there other solutions you'd prefer?

I like this idea and see no issue with it. Anyone who knows this game well would eventually figure out almost all player's characters stats, abilities, and items anyway. Or at least close to it. I also like designating a player because that leaves the most suitable player to the job.

This seems great.  If people want to disable it in their round for some reason, they can always make that an extra.

Definitely better than letting a whole match fall apart because of one ragequitter... I had so many matches end that way...

I agree too, as it would definitely be fair to those who are giving their best shots in playing the game.

Sounds fair to me. Revealing the character sheet to the teammates to help them better play the character as an NPC should probably also be implemented as that is another level of punishment for the rage-quitter. (also, they need to know what the character can and cant do now that its an NPC)
