TAG TEAM (PvP)
This functions like a regular duel except that each player has 2-3 characters. Only one is in the arena at a time while the others are on the bench. As a full round action, a player may swap out a gladiator on the field with one on the bench, magically teleporting them. The new gladiator appears either in the location of the previous one or back at their original starting point (player's choice). Note that the new character is treated as having used their full round action to get there as well, so this is the only thing the player can do for the round. This teleportation does not provoke. If your opponent can't see your gladiator, you need not inform them that the switch was made but only send a PM to the referee. Benched characters can take no actions and are effectively in a time stasis so ongoing poisons, curses, buffs, etc. are frozen. However, all the gladiators are simultaneously aware of the fight through each other's senses so they can coordinate normally (thus the single player coordinating them).

C) I think the swap should be a full round (or maybe a full-turn i.e. no swift/free actions) for only one the character that's swapping out. Doing nothing but swapping for a turn is too costly.

I'm a C.

Same reason as above - full round of nothing seems a bit rough.  Maybe make the incoming character staggered (in addition to no actions at all for the outgoing character), or all characters get a prep round, or something.

Okay, looks like it's a tie between A and C but I'm leaning C so C wins but there's a lot of Cs so let's have a revote for WHICH TYPE of C we'll go with...

C1) Full round for outbound gladiator, no cost for inbound gladiator.

C2) Full round for outbound gladiator, staggered 1 round for inbound gladiator.

C3) Full round for outbound gladiator, nauseated 1 round for inbound gladiator.

C4) Full round for outbound gladiator, slowed 1 round for inbound gladiator.

Staggered: You can only take 1 standard OR move action.

Nauseated: You can only take 1 move action.

Slowed (not the spell version): You have all your normal actions (standard, move, swift) but cannot take full-round actions (no full attacks, no charging, no running, etc.) and you move at half speed. (allows players to draw their weapons/mount their mount but they can't immediately start attacking very easily)

Edit: C2. Upon further reflection, I've realized Nausea prevents swift and immediate actions as well, which may well be worse than costing a full round action.
