Re: Monstrous Royal #1: Boadicea v. Groppo v. Latro v. ???

Ok, so, slightly confused. Does this mean my original movements from I19+4 to J12+8 is perfectly fine or that my corrected movement from I19+4 to K13+7 is the one thats fine.

Re: Monstrous Royal #1: Boadicea v. Groppo v. Latro v. ???

With the gears in his head turning, Latro grabs Groppo's corpse and steps over to the edge of the central pillar. Glaring down to the woman below him, Latro's hand surges with shadow magic.
"Well, Boadicea, it's been fun. But playtime is over. I have one final request if you will indulge me. Please do me the honor of HOLDING STILL FOR ONE BLASTED MINUTE!!!" Throwing his arm forwards, the magic flies downward and grip's the woman's shadow, attempting to pin her in place for as long as her own will power will allow.

OOC: If my calculation's are correct, Latro should be, at the very most, in heavy capacity while towing around Groppo and his gear so taking a 5-foot step is still within reason.

Groppo, could you give me a weight on all the stuff that's still on your person (not including your melee weapons) and your weight as well. I'd like to know where my encumbrance lies while i'm dragging you around for movement calculation purposes.

40 groppo + 19 items including all but melee weapons and used up potions. Won’t bother to look up if there are arena-specific rules for character weight while I’m on vacay. Took max on one of the racial dice for flavor (he is a fighter and thus strongly built), rolled the other. If that’s against the rules, you can redo it as appropriate I guess - my roll is in the dice roller.

are... are you counting your full plate in that? cause i have a hard time believing full plate, even one sized for a gnome, is less than 19 lbs. lol
but as far as character weight goes, arkrim has said that weight and hight is the average for whatever race and gender we choose.

Re: Monstrous Royal #1: Boadicea v. Groppo v. Latro v. ???

Latro growls under his breath and drags the gnome with him down the stairs leading to Boadecia; (and as he does, draws Groppo's bow from it's holster?) "My apologize, Boadicea. Perhaps you inferred that this was a request. It was not. Let me rephrase. Cease your movement this instant!" Latro bellows, his words carrying the same sort of magical tone that his suggestion earlier did, but to a lesser degree. However the magic was strong enough that should Boadecia's will not be strong enough, she would be stuck in place for a moment. And a moment is all Latro would need.

OOC: You got lucky with that shadow trap. I was about to combo into something nasty with that. But oh well. Let's see you make a DC19 will save twice in a row. :P
Also, i dont need to draw groppo's bow this round, but if i can, that would be pretty swell. otherwise i'll just draw it next round like a normal person.

Re: Monstrous Royal #1: Boadicea v. Groppo v. Latro v. ???

When Latro draws the weapon, does he automatically know the specifications of the bow including mundane and magical improvements? Sounds like the most practical way to handle it at least. I’ll tell you before your next round unless someone gives me more specific instructions for when Latro learns the information.

I don't think you can draw Groppo's weapon as part of a move action.  Was hoping GM would throw his 2¢ already, taking an item from him has already been stated as a move action.

Re: Monstrous Royal #1: Boadicea v. Groppo v. Latro v. ???

I personally would like to know the GM's take on this myself. If he says "no," thats fine. If he says "yes," cool beans.
I personally sit on the side of yes as even though taking something visible off of groppo that is not a worn item has been stated as a move action, so is drawing my own weapon/potion/etc. And as we all know, drawing one's own weapon/potion/etc as part of a move action is a free action so it stands to reason that the same can be applied for anything that could be drawn as a move action, even items carried by the corpse i am dragging along with me.

Now as far as weapon properties, if it is mundane, masterwork, or composite, i would say that is something Latro would know. If it was magical however, i would say that is something not inherently known about anything without first using detect magic on it of which Latro currently does not have active. But if you by your own authority want to give me information about it's magics, please feel free to do so. :P

Re: Monstrous Royal #1: Boadicea v. Groppo v. Latro v. ???

OOC: Picking up an item is a move action, but drawing an item from your carrying capacity (as long as it's not stored in your backpack) can be part of a move action for anyone with +1 BAB or more. As long as Latro declared picking up Groppo's body as a move action in the last turn and adding it to his carrying capacity, all of Groppo's gear is considered Latro's so yes, he can do that as per RAW. Of course, he'll have to drop Groppo afterwards in order to use a two-handed weapon.

Re: Monstrous Royal #1: Boadicea v. Groppo v. Latro v. ???

Throwing the quiver of arrows over his shoulder and into a proper holding spot, Latro draws an arrow and takes aim. Just drawing the bow lets Latro know that this bow has some reel power behind it and fortunantly, Latro is more than strong enough to draw the string.

"WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS, LATRO!" his sword bellows. "YOU DARE USE A WEAPON OTHER THAN ME?"
"Can you strike at range without me throwing you at her?" Latro snaps back.
"BETTER THAT THAN THIS NONSENSE!" his sword growls. "THIS IS AN AFFRONT TO ME!!!"
"Well, I could always get rid of you. Melt you down and reforged you into a new more complacent weapon. Let's not forget who made whom, shall we?"
the sword does not respond but there is obvious tension between sword and master. And with this newfound silence, Latro lets his arrow fly.

the arrow flies true, even for being unwieldy to hold. However, Latro did not find the arrow flying true enough. Calling upon the power of the arena he will the arrow to fly as true as possible and as true as possible he gets. The arrow finds a wonderful home between Boadecia's head and shoulders, with all amenities included. A constant warm flow of blood, air conditioning that was constantly struggling to work, the flickering lights of a dying host. Indeed Boadecia's neck was the perfect home for an arrow such as this.

Latro smiled. He broke out into a grin and slowly, he descended into maddening laughter. "AT LAST!" he shouted. "VICTORY IS MINE! Cower at the victor of this match, lowly observers! Latro Dectus has finally ascended! No longer will he be the ground upon which other walk!" He turns towards the champion's box where those most privileged get to watch the match. He points to it, not knowing if Hiro or Joseph are even there. But that doesn't matter to Latro. He's caught up in the moment. The spotlight was his and by all the gods and their servants he's going to use it. "JOSEPH! HIRO! Hear me now! The hour of your devastation is upon you! Know that i will have my vengeance and I WILL become the champion of this arena!"

Re: Monstrous Royal #1: Boadicea v. Groppo v. Latro v. ???

(Accumulative BP of all Participants) / (# of Participants) = RewardPOT
1) RewardPOT / Gladiator1BP * (X) = Total Rewards for Gladiator 1.
2) RewardPOT / Gladiator2BP * (X) = Total Rewards for Gladiator 2.
3) RewardPOT / Gladiator3BP * (X) = Total Rewards for Gladiator 3.
4) RewardPOT / Gladiator4BP * (X) = Total Rewards for Gladiator 4.

Special terms that affect rewards listed at bottom (if any). Alignments only matter if it's a DUEL, not a team match or anything else.

1134 (boadicea) + 662 (groppo) + 1504 (latro) = 3300

1080 (monster) / 3 = 360

3300 (FFA) / 3 players = 1100 reward pot

REWARDS FOR MONSTER

Latro
 360/1,504 = 0.23 * 300 = 71 BP

Boadicea
 360/1,134 = 0.32 * 300 = 95 BP

Groppo
 360/662 = 0.54 * 300 = 163 BP

REWARDS FOR FFA

Latro
 1,100/1,504 = 0.73 * 300 = 219 BP

Boadicea
 1,100/1,134 = 0.97 * 200 = 194 BP

Groppo
 1,100/662 = 1.66  * 100 = 166 BP

OLD REWARDS

 1,100/1,504 = 0.97 * 300 = 291 BP
 Hero points: -3 spent +1 FFA +1 win = -1 hero point

Boadicea
 1,460/1,134 = 1.29 * 200 = 258 BP
 Hero points: -6 spent +1 FFA +0 loss = -5 hero points

Groppo
 1,460/662 = 2.21 * 100 = 221 BP
 Hero points: -1 spent +1 FFA +0 draw = -0 hero points

NEW REWARD TOTALS

Latro
 219+71= 290 BP vs. old reward (291) = -1 BP difference

Boadicea
 194+95= 289 BP vs. old reward (258) = +29 BP difference

Groppo
 166+163= 326 BP vs. old reward (221) = +105 BP difference

Groppo's right, I promised to calculate them separately and forgot because I was in a hurry. Fixed.
