I don't respond via PMs to rulings, so if you drag me into a match, you get a public ruling.
Creating some weapons may entail other prerequisites beyond or other than spellcasting. See the individual descriptions for details.
Time Required Crafting a magic weapon requires 1 day for each 1,000 gp value of the base price.
Feat(s) Required: Craft Magic Arms and Armor.
Skill(s) Required: Spellcraft, Craft (bows) (for magic bows and arrows), or Craft (weapons) (for all other weapons).
The weapon, armor, or shield to be enhanced must be a masterwork item that you provide. Its cost is not included in the above cost.
You cannot prepare anything outside of battle except for your class features/spells and as noted here. If you have the proper feats and/or skills, you can craft an item. A 10 + your skill bonus to crafting must meet the craft DC to do so. Crafting an item merely means that you acquire it for half the normal GP/BP cost. You cannot customize items unless you craft it yourself (and even then, it must be approved by the Referee beforehand). You can mix and match the enhancement abilities on weapons and armors as you see fit, but all other items must come in the form which they are listed in their books, even consumables.
Skills
Do not track skill ranks.
Pick a number of skills equal to the skill ranks you get at every level. These skills are all maxed in rank.
The Skill Focus feat provides you max ranks in a skill instead of the normal benefits.
If you multiclass, pick a number of secondary skills equal to the difference between the two classes skill ranks per level. These skills have a rank equal to your level in whichever class gets less skill ranks rather than total character level. The other skills you originally selected are your primary skills and remain maxed at total character level.
Wording is vague, but the EXAMPLE GIVEN IN THE CORE RULES and the INTENT require that you be able to craft your own items. PLUS the arena notates this AS WELL.
If you want to make magic armor you'll need Craft (armorsmithing).
If you want to make magic weapons you'll need Craft (bowmaking) or (weaponsmithing) depending on the type.
etc.
The Master Craftsman feat does only 2 things:
1) allow you to create magic items without being a spellcaster
2) allow you to create magic items without using Spellcraft skill
You still need the actual Craft or Profession skills to create the item in question.

REFEREE
All matches require an assigned 3rd-party referee. ALL rules questions, extras and disputes are handled by the referee. If the referee can't decide, they can take a vote in the OOC. DO NOT ARGUE IN THE OCC. Don't disagree, don't explain your reasoning, just vote for an option that's available or make a simple recommendation. NO REVOTES, NO ARGUING.
If a player is ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN the referee made a bad call, they can call for a vote, but if the other players vote against the player who called the vote, they get an automatic foul as well as being held to the vote.
GMs should only be contacted if a match needs to be opened/closed, a new player/character wants to join, or if there is a dispute or problem that a referee can't handle. All other reasons for PMing the GM will have your BP penalized.
As there are not enough people involved to vote and the referee is being disputed, I have been called in as the final vote instead. Because a player called me in to overrule a referee and I ruled in favor of the referee, that's
STRIKE 1 for the player.
Strike 1 is just a warning but remember, strike 2 = 50% loss of rewards and strike 3 = disqualification.
Continue the match with this in mind.
