Re: Tolkeen : Chapter 12 -- Squad One

OOC - Squad #1 on defense duty: Nuitari, Boris, Heinrich, Jake, two alu demons and a mare demon.

"Boris, can you go requisition some supplies to raise some camo-netting and provide some concealment?  Everyone else, let's take a stroll"  Nuitari then walks fifty feet or so out through the gates to the outpost and turns to the two alu demons  "I want eight two-man foxholes spread out in an arc from north to south in front of the outpost, spaced fifty feet apart like this" Nuitari tears a page from his notebook and hands it to Pahaseassuh, the uglier of the two creatures.  "When the foxholes are done, you can walk out further and clear away anything that an enemy soldier can use as cover.  That includes trees, rocks, debris.  I want the area in front of our fox holes to be a nice flat open field for at least two thousand feet.  When all of that is done, return to me for further instructions.  And I'll warn you once.  This is the first task I have given you.  Disappoint me or surprise me and you will not enjoy your stay in this realm, I can assure you.  Ask me if you are unsure about your instructions."  Nuitari waits for the demons to begin working before turning back to Heinrich and Jake.
"So you are both relatively new in our platoon.  Jake, I can see is a man of magic.  What else can you tell me about yourselves? I can tell you that although I have called Tolkeen home for nearly eight years, and I have even found a wife there, I am originally from a land beyond the rifts - in a place known as the Timiro Kingdom.  I studied the mystic arts of circles and symbols there."

While talking, Nuitari walks with the two men back towards the outpost, glancing back over his shoulder to keep an eye on the alu demons a few times. The mare demon shuffles along quietly behind the lieutenant for the moment.

Taking the small paper from the human master, Pahaseassuh stares at it for a moment before giving it to Habaxrumon to inspect.  In a voice that sounds more like three or four monsters speaking at once, the demon responds.  "We are soldiers of the dead plains and will complete your labours.  Your will, our handsssss" The creature's voice seems to fade off as he finishes speaking.  He turns and falls to his knees before starting to dig with his massive claws...

Jake was walking around with his coat, a pulse riffle on his back and had put his gas mask with air filter.

"I was born and raised in Tolkeen, as a child, it didn't take long for some mages to find out that I had the potential to learn spells. So I did, most of my childhood consisted of me learning the secrets of magic. I'm only 22 years old and joined Tolkeen military less than a year ago. I simply want to do my part and whenever I have the chance or enough money, I learn a new spell."

Heinrichs jaw drops at the mention of Timiro. "Did you say Timiro? Do you know of the Western Empire... that's where I am from... it's good to meet someone from at least a place recognizable to me. I am a psychic of some power. I don't know how many of my abilities will be useful in building defenses other than perhaps telekinesis, that will help move supplies and such."

Re: Tolkeen : Chapter 12 -- Squad One

"Glad to have you aboard, Jake.  I can't claim to be a so knowledgeable in spell magic, but I have devoted my life to the study of magic.  I channel the mystic energy through symbols and circles, which brings me to a question.  I have already spoken with the rest of the platoon about this.  The majority of circle and ward magic is unfocused and can cause harm to a wide field instead of targeting a single foe.  This means that there is a risk of hurting my comrades, unless the wards and circles are affixed with either the true names or a symbol drawn in the blood of those who should not be harmed.
I would be willing to try teaching you some of my magic in exchange for your true name as it is much easier than trying to work with vials of blood all the time."

Turning to Heinrich, Nuitari responds in a familiar western tongue. "Of course I am familiar with the great Western Empire.  There is also an elven policeman working in Tolkeen whom I have come to call friend.  He too hails from the same realm you and I would call home.  I have met no others from Palladia since I arrived here.  The first thing you must learn, which came as a shock to me, is that the people here have a science which rivals magic in power and depth.  They once used swords and arrows in their past but learned to create machines and weapons more powerful than you can imagine.  When we return to Tolkeen, perhaps I'll introduce you to my wife who curates the city's library.  She helped to teach me much about this world.
Do not worry about diverting your mental abilities to construction.  The demons I have summoned will take car of this.  I must ask, what is your opinion on summoners? I know of the reputation we have among common-folk..."

Nuitari, Jake, Heinrich and the Mar demon are now standing next to the ruined towers of the outpost, fifty feet or so from the Alu demons.  Although speaking casually to his comrades, the summoner keeps a watchful eye on the creatures digging the foxhole.

"I would be honored to meet her. Science you say... I will be very interested to learn of this place." he pauses at the question, "Summoners must take great care in their craft, that I know. There are good and bad, as with any group of people in life. You are obviously one of the good ones. So I have no quarrel with you. If that's what you were asking." He again looked around briefly, "It does put me at ease knowing someone from home is here."

"Thanks Boris, we can probably salvage the old guard towers for materials as well, if need be."  Nuitari looks over at the demons working on the foxhole and they appear to be starting the second one already.  At this rate, they will have a defensive position set up long before the others return from their patrols.  Nuitari wonders if he might have time to add some magic to the defenses...

"What I would teach doesn't exactly qualify as a spell.  I am a user of rituals and it is this knowledge which I offer." Nuitari responds to the line walker.  "I have considered attempting to learn spell magic, but there is yet much to master in my own crafts.  Perhaps later however, we have a more basic task at hand."

Once Boris returns and all of the supplies are requisitioned, Nuitari grabs a ratchet, a handful of the bolts and starts assembling the posts to form tent-like structures above the foxholes that the alu have already dug.  With camo-netting stretched over top, they don't look like much up close.  They are supposed to reduce visibility from air assaults and Nuitari has faith in the science behind them.  He makes sure to set the structures up so that retreat from the foxholes would be unimpeded and that they provide as much cover as possible.

"Boris, do you think you can ask about explosives?  If we can lay traps beyond our defensive position, even after the guard towers are replaced, it could go a long way towards slowing an assault.  Are you knowledgeable in their use?"

Riding up on his hovercycle, a stoic soldier dismounted and approached Nuitari. Offering a salute, he identifies himself simply. "Corporal Max Zander, demolitions expert, reporting as ordered by Major Karno."

The tone of the bald man indicated he held little emotion outside of soldiering. He was armed with no less than 7 pistols, all obvious and in easily accessed locations. To compliment the plethora of weaponry he had two bandoleer - both filled with various types of explosives.

I want to catch an approaching ground force before they are in range of the outpost and give our men in the foxholes time to fall back if necessary.  Do you have the equipment?  Afterwards, we may have need of demolitions disposal in a nearby village which may be mined. Its an obvious idea. Max thought to himself. He had long since stopped showing much emotion at all, so the thought didn't even change his expression as he gave a minimal nod of acknowledgement to the 'borg. Looking from his Nuitari to the Boris and back, he asked the obvious question (to him at least). (Assuming Boris heard Max's introduction) He extended his hand to Boris, "You going to be giving me a hand out there, are am I solo on this?" As he finished the question, Max looked back to Nuitari for a response as well.

At the message, Max narrowed his eyes slightly and drowned out the ambient noise as he delved into his predatory nature. Again, no emotion crept on his face, but this was literally what he lived for. This felinoid attacked. That is all Max cared to hear. He is well within his rights to feast on this one's energy. He didn't plan on killing the individual. Not unless directed. But food is food.

"Sir. I'll find the feline. He will regret attacking the scouts. I won't kill him unless you give the order, but I doubt he'll be able to go invisible again after I'm through."

Max activates the Eyes of the Wolf spell on his goggles, giving him the ability to see the invisible. He begins scanning the area.

(OOC - Given level and abilities, Max will sense someone using PPE(or magic devices) or ISP used for a 1000ft radius. If supernatural, it is 1400ft)

Nuitari looks at the psi-stalker.  "Can you tell the difference between two supernatural creatures by your senses alone?  Some members of our own group fit the loose description of 'supernatural' and I wouldn't put it past this raksasha to attempt deceit if the opportunity presented itself.  Everyone, gather what you need, we're leaving in five minutes to take care of this unfinished business."
Nuitari makes his way back to the base to climb aboard his hover skiff and finish a quick but particularly lethal set of wards.  He jots them down on a blank page of his leatherbound notebook and leaves the book flat on the pedestal of his hovercraft.

OOC - He makes the following ward set three times: Power - Inflict [Raksasha Demons] Death - Area of Effect.  Then he adds a trigger to the first two so that all three can be activated simultaneously.  Each ward will deal 24d6 damage to any Raksasha Demons within 120 ft when activated for a total of 72d6 damage... per melee.  Of course the damage/range increases with ley line energy as well.

The squad is then redirected to assist with rebuilding the towers, and finish the series of foxholes on the eastern front. About 12 hours later the patrols return back to base, just after dark settles in.

The 3rd streaks over head. Low and fast, surveying the scene. He keys his radio and clearly says: "Incoming airborne friendlies from Juyong Outpost, please do not engage." He lands dismounts and unslings his plasma ejector. He then starts looking for someone to tell him what to do. For him it was one of the upsides of being a Private - he didn't have to think too much.

Shouldn't you activate your armor enchant?
Nope.
Come on, its not just your safety your gambling with here. Think of the children...

"Understood Signal. Stay with him, make sure he stays alive, we are on our way. Stay in touch."

Malefic then turns his attention to the imminent breach of the transport. "So far we have seen a cyborg, and Na-Wa reported psychics inside as well. Stay together, and take as many prisoners as possible. But if they wanna die for this, then by all means... let them."

He casts another spell...

"Alright, if I send the demons in first, there is no way the enemy will surrender." He looks over the squad... "I apologize, as I do not know all of your names as of yet... Sir Cyber Knight. You will go in first, alongside the pair of Alu Demons. Secure cover towards the back of the ship."

Uuuuuuh... you two (indicating Tangles and Wierzbowski), you will be right behind them, to secure cover toward the front of the ship, along with Mephisto's demons. Once we are clear, Cyber Knight, your team will advance, and the rest of us will move in and follow. We follow Signal's direction to the prisoner and get him out safely.

We go on my mark... prepare grenades... ready?"

Assuming nobody causes delay, he calls out to those inside the transport "Surrender, or be destroyed!". He states loudly, and plainly (and truthfully), not as an angry threat.

The 3rd slings his plasma ejector and stows in across his back. He draws his pistols as they are much better suited to close quarter work, like the inside of a transport. He looks across at the demons and for a second feels a little bit sorry for the poor idiots inside the transport. These feelings don't last long. "I think it might be time for that enchant Antonio", he says to no one. He then activates the Armor Bizzare enchant built into this armor. Then he waits for the signal, grinning behind his mask.

Max gradually slows down the hovercycle as he descends on his destination. Realizing right off the bat that there were enemy combatants, he was glad to have left the raw explosives behind. Until they were processed into a usable form, transporting them, especially in an area like this, would be idiotic at best.

The psi-stalker hastily dismounted, checked his weapons, and pulled out "Betsy," the Big Bore Revolver, from his lower back holster. He also removed one from the his left thigh, the double barreled Kingdom Come. He crouched and followed Malefic's lead into the impending fray.

Signal looks for pain killers in the kit and if he can find some he gives them to the prisoner. He looks next around the room for anything to splint the limbs of the prisoner with. Hopefully a board to strap him too as well.

Signal then calls out on the radio to just squad one, "Are you guys close? This guy is fading fast. All of his bones are broken and not much I can do from here. If one of you is a healer great, if not then I will start splinting him."

*Most of squad two has moved away from the transport, except for Bob.*

The two Alu demons, towering over Sir Aries in height, charge into the transport ready and eager to kill, but find only one (moving) Coalition soldier, he is walking and stumbling towards the trio from among the crew quarters, toward the rear of the ship. He is in the hallway (80 feet) of several destroyed crew quarters, and finally leading to a door, which is closed. There are 7 dead bodies, blown to pieces from grenades scattered here. There is no sign of the Cyborg that was spotted earlier.

As expected, the other two demons, followed by Tangles and Wierzbowski charge in behind them and cover toward the front of the transport.

The others will wait until any threats are taken care of.

The Alu demons whine like dogs, hoping the soldier attacks, so they may kill something...

The View From Outside... (Basically the view of Max or The 3rd, standing behind the first to enter).

And then once inside, down the hall, is the stumbling CS soldier...

He's pretty good." signal swallows hard and moves to the terminal, he punches in the code all but the last digit and waits for the others to signal ready to open. The 3rd re-activates his armor bizarre enchant if needed. He then activates levitation and rises up above the level of the top of the door. His plan is to shoot through the door from an unexpected angle, while exposing as little of his body as possible. He has no intention of popping his head to see what he is shooting at. Shoot blind seems just fine.

He gives the thumbs up to signal.

Re: Tolkeen : Chapter 12 -- Squad One

Second Zero

The door whisks open, and Max is first to react. All four of the CS soldiers are side by side. Picking out the biggest and baddest of the bunch, he spots one of the cyborgs strapped with a dozen various grenades, and has an actual live kitten kicking and squealing strapped to the side of his helmet. He is the only one not ready, and is just finishing loading his rail gun as the door opens.

Max hits him square in the chest, while it does rock the cyborg, it does not knock him, or any full conversion cyborg down. It leaves a solid dent in the heavy Cyborg body armour he is wearing however.

Signal waits for the enemy to charge, if they choose to.

The 3rd opens fire wildly, hoping to hit any of the soldiers waiting on the other side, and thanks to Signal's recon, he hits cyborg 2 in the shoulder with one pistol, leaving a small scorch mark, but misses with the other.

Sir Aries also stays out of view, and waits for them to charge.

The Juicer takes a shot at the only visible target : Max. He is armed with a CP-50, and makes use of the attached grenade launcher for his first shot. Max tries to dodge out of the way, but fails and is hit in the chest with a micro fusion grenade, which explodes immediately, in a 12 foot radius, nearly encompassing The 3rd as well.

Max is knocked on his back, out of view of the enemy soldiers... for now.

The psychic soldier does nothing visible...

Both cyborgs toss out grenades. One is a tear gas grenade, which pops and starts to fill the area right away. The other is a high explosive, which explodes under The 3rd, but he is out of range for any damage.

Second One

Everyone readjusts...

Second Two

The 3rd continues to fire blindly into the Coalition squad, but misses with both shots.

The cyborgs each toss another high explosive grenade, again missing with the small 6-foot explosions.

The Juicer rolls to the side, to see Max again and takes a rapid triple laser-pulse burst at Max while the psi-stalker is still on the ground.

Second Three

Max regains himself, and rolls over onto his hands and knees, again out of sight from the enemy squad. (

Signal continues to wait for a charge...

Sir Aries continues to wait for a charge...

The Juicer remains in position, and waits for a target.

A small fire erupts out of nowhere in the doorway, encompassing the entire door.

Knowing his best chance is against the technological heavy Borgs, Sir Aries first instinct is to use the SN speed & strength spells in his suit to attack hard & fast with a torrent of blows that should shred the borgs armor to ribbons.

However he soon realizes that doing so will likely bring psychic as well as concentrated fire upon him specifically.  Instead he bides his time where he is & waits for an opportunity to strike.

Knowing that absorbing the tear gas directly into his body will not be fun, Signal makes sure his immunity is still active and then thinks back to see how heavy the door is. If the door is heavy enough to knock or hurt someone. Instead of slashing with his sword he will drop the door on them and pin a nice target for his comrades. If it is not, he takes a few steps back from all the grenades and keeps waiting.

Also, on second 6, both borgs and juicers are charging out. Instead of re-rolling initiative, or ignoring it completely, the 'melee' will re-start at second 0 as they come charging out, giving you guys a chance to act before they do. Don't worry, it makes sense inside my head...

After the flame disappears, everyone prepares for the assault. Both borgs and the juicer charge out together.

Second Six/Zero

Max Zander is first to react and opens fire with both pistols at the charging juicer, hitting him twice in the chest as the super soldier stumbles and fails to dodge. The damage is noticeable dropping the juicers' armor by around 30%.

Signal drops the heavy door down on them as they charge out! The Juicer had no chance to dodge, while one borg tries to leap back inside, and the other tries to catch it. They all FAIL and the door smashes all three of them to the ground.

The 3rd makes his move as they drop, and blasts one of the cyborgs with his pistols, scorching the heavy armor.

The Borg that had tried to catch the door manages to push the door up a few inches...

The juicer slides away, back to the other side of the door, out of sight.

Sir Aries rushes to the closest 'borg and slashes down at the head with his magic sword. The blade strikes twice in quick succession, and leaves a brutal gash in the bulky helmet.

The psychic peaks down under the door (still out of sight), and telekinetically pulls on Sir Aries' legs, catching him off guard, and knocking the elf on his back.

*Both borgs are still caught under the door for now, and visible for attacking.

Signal moves in for a strike at the remaining borgs' arm, lifting the door. The cyborgs armor is strong, and will withstand several sword strikes.

The juicer will likely be able to get out the way, so we'll have to take him down the by just shooting at him. Signal, stand by to drop the door again if need be. Form up as a staggered "V" at the door, with the demons nearest the door. If and when they clear the doors, direct hand to hand combat out of the firing range." Zander didn't like this part of the job. He just liked to kill things. But it didn't stop him from doing what he needed to do. It is one of the aspects of being in the military. If you stay in, you are bound to have to lead at some point. As he spoke, he walked around the door, demonstrating what he meant.

Some people might go for a semi-circle focused on the door, but this way we use the lesser profile of the door to minimize the number of exposed allies and still get a good vantage of what lay on the other side.

The stalker took the position at the tip of the "V" farthest from the door on the side closer to Malefic. If anyone got that far, they'd have to go through him. Not that they'd know we had a vulnerable ally just around the corner. . .

The squad moves into position, and waits for what seems like forever for the door to open again. A bead of sweat hangs from the end of Tangle's nose, as he stands trembling with anticipation. Not to kill and destroy the enemy.... just to be done with this, and hopefully survive.

His mind wanders to the imminent battle looming just outside the transport, and hopes the rest of the platoon can hold them off...

Finally the door opens, revealing nothing but scorch marks, and the half-melted corpse of the kitten that was strapped to the one cyborgs' head. The soldiers have moved deeper toward the front of the vessel.

The corridor leads to a stack of crates to the left, and two doors to the right. The crates are labeled medical supplies. The door at the end of the corridor, is universally marked as a washroom. The door next to it, is exactly like the one just opened, and leads toward the external weapon stations and the cockpit.

Re: Tolkeen : Chapter 12 -- Squad One

Signal decides since he is working the door, he won't need to throw his grenade as well. Signal goes back over the memory in his head that this door didn't lock from the other side, confident it couldn't he wrenched the door open and as soon as everyone tossed 1 grenade from his side, he slams the door shut again.

OOC: First action, Open door. Second Action, ready for all grenades to be thrown through then slam door shut.

19:31, Today: Signal rolled 20 using 1d20+2. Initiative.

Re: Tolkeen : Chapter 12 -- Squad One

The squad moves ahead, down the corridor, toward the washroom, and prepares their assault at the second door. After Signals' directions, he types in the door code, and it quickly slides open. The psychic soldier is standing immediately on the other side of the door, staring down the grenade-assault... He seems completely unconcerned... and as all the grenades are tossed, they simply hit an invisible force field and pile up at the entrance. There is approximately 3 seconds until they each explode...

The psychic soldier stands and watches.

Having been ordered further inside the crashed skull faced ship Na-Wa catches up to the others and remains quite. See one unconscious body Na-Wa looked for anything he could use the sleeping man wasn’t going to immediately need (grenades, vibro knifes). He alrady had many e-clips from the bodies of the dead skull faced soldiers.

Na-Wa didn’t join in the grenade throwing (his hands were full and Na-Wa knew he was too dumb to make things float with his mind) and instead waited for the signal to rush into the door and kill skull faced soldiers. In his right hand the dimwitted psi-stalker held Whon-Ecke, and in his left a CP-30 pulse pistol.

19:21, Today: Na - Wa rolled 9 using 1d20. init +5.

Assuming everyone moves back to avoid the explosions, they all detonate at the door, destroying the psychics' forcefield. He is also hurled backward by the telekinetic attacks. The way should be clear...

*Na-Wa is standing at the entrance to this corridor. Just outside there is the previous large corridor with Malefic, and the exit. You guys are right at the front of the ship now.

*The door to the cockpit area is down the hall on the left (This is where the grenades detonated). There should also be a small man-sized door for the washroom at the very end of the hall, but starcraft 2, doesn't have many door-types...

Signal does as he is told. He slips up where the side wall of the cockpit should be and disappears into the wall. He does this so he can look into the cockpit from a direction other than the one expected.

As soon as Signal is able to see the room, he jumps back, hoping he is fast enough to not get attacked by the psionic again.

Signal chooses to remain phased, and allow the other muscle in his squad to take out the crazed juicer. Sir Aries, armed with a sword, elects to remain standing unless the juicer makes it much farther - so as to not get in the way of the shooters.

The juicer fires a shot from his plasma cannon into the tall Alu demon's gut and continues to charge forward.

Max, Na-Wa and Tangles open fire nearly blasting through his armor (7 MD left), however Na-Wa missed...

Kresil, the smaller demon slashes out at him with his claws, but the juicer evades.

He fires again disintegrating a large portion of the Alu demon's abdomen, before he is filled with holes from the other squad members. His body twitches with each blast and takes three full steps after his life slipped away, before collapsing on his face in front of Signal and Max. (He has his plasma cannon, 2 stun grenades, 2 eclips and some personal items).

Zander glances over the to the Alu demon that was shot to see how it was holding up. He holstered his Hero pistol and picked up one of the stun grenades, passing the other to anyone else who wanted it. He didn't care for weapons other than pistols and grenades, so he all but ignored the plasma cannon.

"Signal, hang back for a minute. We are going in. Alert us of anything happening out here."

"Everyone else, push forward. Remember what we are dealing with though"

Taking the position of pointman, he walked forward without fear. Men needed to die. He still had a good bit on his armor, and he'd be damned if those borgs would do enough to break through with a group this large.

Signal lets Max know that the report on the room hasn't changed. He is thankful when Max gives him the order to watch their backs. Signal knows he isn't a fighter, he's a scout and a face. His primary concern when joining up was that he would be used  as cannon fodder, so he is genuinely happy with Max's order.

Signal pulls his pistol out and holds it in one hand and leaves the other empty. He checks over the times on his defenses and his armor shield. He re-ups anything that needs it.

The Alu demon slumps over and dies slowly after the wounds from the juicer. Kresil and Tangles charge into the room alongside the rest of the squad. The two cyborgs from before are standing with weapons ready, while the psychic soldier kneels between them, and five wounded humans, and two wounded dog boys are laying down, up against the wall, behind them (mostly).

Tangles is immediately launched back out of the room, by the psychic, slamming hard against the far wall by the washroom door. Everyone else opens fire on each other (including the wounded).

Re: Tolkeen : Chapter 12 -- Squad One

Second One

One of the wounded humans, near the back, the middle of the five, fires first, with his laser pistol, striking Zander in the head as he comes into view.

Max Zander acts next, and simultaneously tosses an unarmed grenade at the kneeling psychic, and shoots him with his kingdom come. The psychic's already damaged armor is hit again, adding another scorch mark, and dropping it to just over 10% capacity. The psychic then ducks down lower, hoping the grenade will pass over him.

The cyborg, who now has a scorched and burned kitten carcass strapped to the side of his head is next to open fire, with his heavy rail gun, choosing the charging Sir Aries as his target. The elven cyber knight moves with lightning speed to parry the blast, but fails, and takes the rail gun slug in the gut, stopping his charge and knocking him back a step.

One of the wounded dog boys follows up the cyborg's attack with a blast from a laser rifle at the staggered elven cyber knight. Aries tries to evade, but is not quite nimble enough this time.

Sir Aries quickly recovers from the rail gun hit, and moves up to decapitate the already-damaged Kitten Killer cyborg, with a sword attack to his neck. The sword passes right through, and the cyborg's head soars through the air, bouncing off a wall and into an open rations crate.

One of the wounded human soldiers, the furthers on the left, takes aim and fires at The 3rd, he enters the room, with his laser pistol, but misses, and hits the wall out in the hallway.

The grenade bounces off the psychic's shoulder, and as he recovers from his dodge, he reaches out and picks it up.

Na-Wa takes aim at the psychic, and opens fire with his laser pistol, with a triple pulse burst. The psychic's armor is now all but destroyed, he won't last another shot.

The mercenary Tangles charges back into the room and blasts the other cyborg with his plasma rifle, melting a large portion of the cyborg's chest, he too will not survive another shot.

The 'borg returns fire, at Tangles, with his own plasma rifle, taking Tangles's armor down to 50% with just one shot.

Two of the wounded humans instinctively fire at Kresil, the demon, as he enters the room. Each armed with laser pistols, however one misses his target completely. There is no visible damage to the tough demon hide, besides a tiny patch of singed hair.

Signal remains outside, vigilantly guarding their rear.

The second wounded dog boy also fires at the charging demon, this time leaving a larger, singed patch of hair, but still not slowing the demon's charge.

The 3rd stumbled on his way into the room, after being bumped by the excited demon. Once inside however, he opens fire on the remaining cyborg with his C-29 rifle. This time, the damage is severe enough to disrupt the main cybernetic systems, and the cyborg collapses helplessly to the ground.

Kresil pounces over the cowering psychic soldier and the two incapacitated cyborgs, landing on the wounded soldiers behind them, against the wall of the crushed cockpit. He jams both of his hands into the face of one of the soldiers, squeezing until the brains are oozing between his fingers and the man stops moving.

The psychic will not last much longer, and the remaining wounded troops could be subdued... will you be taking prisoners or killing them all?

It was simple. These men were riddled with bigotry. Max had no tolerance for it. Unless orders were otherwise, he'd always had the no prisoners mentality.

Once done, he scans the bodies, and replaces his e-clips with fresh ones. He left the unarmed grenade laying where it was. Someone else could take it if they want, but he had no more interest in it.
