Over the days of patrol it becomes evident that, however flighty and scatterbrained she may be at other times, Calliandra is quite competent in her area of specialty, even if she is still a bit unwilling to trust that competency.

"Bernadette" turns out to be a light scout robot of Titan manufacture.  While technically a robot, Bernie stands only slightly taller than some suits of Power Armor and, in spite of the near-constant tinkering that goes on with her during Callie's free time, is in very good condition.

At the mention of their assignment, Callie approaches Xion, somewhat hesitantly.  "Sir, Bernie has room for a couple passengers if anyone doesn't want to drive."

Xion, upon hearing Masques question speaks, "You can run along, if you aren't able to keep pace we can find room for you. Although it will likely be on top of an ACP buddy." The last part said with a grin, "Calliandra, thank you. Everyone find a ride and let's move out. We have CS to capture," turning straight at Arven, "Capture. Shoot all the Deadboys you want, but the officer we need alive."

Snatching up a lonely CS officer. Now THIS could be fun, Harmon chimes in with an uncharacteristic air of optimisim. Course, we're probably going to get him and then get killed by a CS artillery barrage or SAMAS strafing.... but what the hell, he adds with a fatalistic dead pan. It seems the positive vibes only last so long.

Hey Masque, think you could carry me? I could look like that damn Simvan.

Harmon decides to ride in the ATV unless he is needed to pilot one of the hovercraft. Riding is just less work....

Only his utter sense of professionalism convinces him to cast the Sustain enchantment. Though the idea of not eating for days at a time is a bit repugnant, he just learned it so he figures he might as well try it out.

 'Masque turns a big, wide grin towards Xion at the other mans little joke, reaching out with a lower-left hand to buffet him cheerfully upon the shoulder (though with only a tithe of his titanic cybernetic strength), "Tell you what boss, if you are not being able to keep up with me, I will be carrying you on back..." he retorts, looking over to Harmon in turn when he chips in...

 "I would gladly carry you wizard-boy... but even my mighty robot strength has it's limits, da?" - ahhhh, the fat jokes begin already, but they're delivered with a good heart on a clear day... Who's to complain?

HA! I'm too much man for most - 'borgs included. He says with some odd measure of pride.

Arven crinkles up his nose a little. "Officer my farggin ass! What are the Tolkeen military geniuses gonna do interrogate him and find out the Coalition is invading?" The Rahu-Man does chuckle at the mention of getting blow to hell by an artillery barrage although it was probably not really meant to illicit humor. "That ain't no shit grizzly adams that is how I will most likely go out. Already took a goddamn missile volley in the back. If it weren't for all that good magic healing id be dead already."

With a grin, as she moves towards her mech, Callie shouts to Harmon "Hey, if you can get the mechanical cat to ride in the other hand to balance you, Bernie could probably carry you"  The psi-tech grins and winks at her friend to soften the blow of her words, then looks around.

"So, am I carrying anyone or do you all think you can keep up on your own?"

"I will ride in the APC, thank you," Xion states flatly.

 'Masque performs a few conspicuous knee-bends, stretching out one or another long, armour-sheathed arm by way of 'limbering up' (a process not entirely psychosomatic, since he needs to check the fit of his new armour and ensure that the various little repairs and retrofits he's had performed don't interfere with his usual smooth, quiet operation - and indeed, they're not too bad. He's wearing comfortably two or three times the armour of a heavy infantryman as lightly and as easily as a normal man might slip on standard EBA.

 "Easy Boss." replies the mercenary, lifting his hand away as Xion responds in a flat, unfriendly fashion... "Is no worry anyway, I will be able to match any speed team sets so long as we work with big wheels over there - maybe more... I have not really opened up and pushed limits yet, since last round of upgrades."
