Re: Pluto Company - 2nd Platoon

He had to stay within ear-shot for Major Hulan.  After all, it's her and her superiors who have given the Broadkill a ticket to kill.  But to listen to Xion give another tear jerking speach, Osema was debating making himself puke at the door way just so maybe the elf would shut up and he could have a moment without some man on man flirting... or man on beast flirting as the case was.  Lord Osema begins to makes his way to where he understands Zed is located.

Re: Pluto Company - 2nd Platoon

The 6'5 power house, ex-crazy, stands tall at the back of a large military truck. Walls extend from the back of the truck, each containing several weapons on display. A few tables have been set up, and crates as well. It is a portable weapons store.

Several other mercenary-type people surround him, including; A female Cyber Knight, A juicer, A Quebec-Made Heavy Cyborg (heavily modified, and scuffed up), An equally tall, and bulky human - a Mystic Knight, an obvious western gunslinger of sorts, and two other armour clad Mercs (one of which operated out of his APC repairing anything that uses a battery.

Zed is wearing the lower half of a modified Gladius Exoskeleton, and a black tank top. He has only three magnets (as opposed to the usuall dozen or so) protruding from his skull, with a large pistol at his side. Spotting the platoon making their way over he waves them over.

The Mystic Knight, who was engaged in a friendly conversation with Zed, turns to face the group as they approach, then stands motionless, with his arms crossed.

Takamatsu Heads over towards where Zed is as soon as he's authorized. He'd heard speeches from leaders like this his whole life and they usualy ended the same way,  "It is your glorious duty to die young. You are a great bright light to the clan and the brightest lights burn out quickly"  Bah, being outside of the clan has taught him that it was a bunch of crap and now he only looked forward to the upcoming action.

Re: Pluto Company - 2nd Platoon

Tyirrak remained as long as he had to, and then with his platoon he went looking for the weapons. Although in his case, he was primarily looking for ammunition and demolition material. Grenades and fusion blocks could be used for a variety of things...

As he walked he studied the other members of the platoon as well. Theirs was the platoon with the largest amount of non-humans, although some of the humans seemed to be augmented. Still, it would prove an issue to balance Lord Osema's influence with his pride. And the Syvan might become an issue as well.

En route to Zed's set-up, Zephram motions for Tyirrak, Razgriz, and Osema to walk with him.  Zephram is tall for a human at 6'4" but looks quite like a dwarf in this company.  He is more concerned with work than appearances however and relays his instructions.  "Osema, you are going to be charged with Reginald and Gendun in your squad.  Tyirrak, you'll be working with Takamatsu, Jelme, Jonas, and Marlene.  Seifer, Sharp, and White Moon will be under Raz and myself.  That's all I need for now."

Walking along with Zephram, "Thisss would be only if our ssssquad isss ssseparated?  Then I become your babysssitter?"  One may notice that there's not the same tone of disrespect in his voice as compared to when he was toe to toe with Arven.  But that might not be noticed either.

"When we're separated, or if I happen to be busy, yeah.  I wasn't involved in the skirmish that resulted in your previous leader dying, but I don't want to hear any stories of bad blood circulating around.  That's about it.  Should be simple."

Once up at the display of weapons, Zephram will peruse Zed's wares but won't bother taking anything.  He is quite satisfied with what he has currently, and doesn't want to take weapons away from those under him who may be more skilled at using them, unless Zed is selling a palm-top computer - Zephram has been looking for one of those.

Re: Pluto Company - 2nd Platoon

Tyirrak nodded his assent. A motley arrangement for his squad... a juicer, a cyberknight, the only platoon glitter-boy and a high mage. A group of specialists then...

He would have to think on how best to arrange them for the upcoming mission. Jonas would be easy... artillery. A glitterboy was perfect for sniping down the enemy robots and walkers, although should his position be compromised, he would possibly require backup. Perhaps Zephram could deploy an elemental for his backup.

The juicer was probably best deployed close to himself. He would have to find out what kind of vehicles the juicer was trained and cleared for... The stealth and augmented melee combatant would be useful.

Marlene was going to have to be a tactical hub. Depending on what spells she knew, she could allow a variety of important strategies. If they could move her close enough to the prisoners she could enable another teleportation, retrieving the prisoners in an instant, as she had rescued the members of Pluto Company earlier, and allowing them to withdraw.

Jelme... the cyberknight... Tyirrak decided to make him Marlene's escort. A mage was potentially vulnerable if mobbed in close combat, and having someone with her to free her up for the oh-so-vital magics would be greatly beneficial. Many of them were psychics as well, and made excellent bodyguards.

He considered all this as he sifted through the weaponry, ready to bring up his thoughts with Zephram after they were done. In his mind, he'd already paired everyone in his squad up, so they were no longer individual soldiers. The main issue would be Jonas... since backup for him would require Zephrams assistance... him or another one of the warlocks. Or maybe that shifter, Mephisto, in the other platoon.

Takamatsu looks through the weapons but he's pretty happy with his own weapons at the moment. Remembering Zephrams earlier orders though he walks up behind the Lt. silently and addresses him in his highly accented respectful tone.

"Sir, you wanted to know about our piloting skills. I have none, I was never required to pilot a vehicle and don't have any training in it. I'm positive that my own agility is sufficient to handle just about any of the normal vehicles but I have no experiance with any weapon systems or combat manuvers."

Reginald cocks his head slightly to the right, revealins his oh so beautiful left. "Hey there Zephyr, Zephram...whatever, I can drive a hovercycle better than damn near anyone, and I can drive a tank, not very well but its a fucking tank. Not much gonna hurt it...can I have a tank?" Reginald claps his hands like a child hopping back and forth from one foot to the other.

Viewing the greanades that Zed has, Osema has heard of, but never seen, sticky grenades.  Probably similar to C4 but he doesn't want anything that complicated.  Something that could be stuck to a wall for a few seconds then... ka-boom.... something devious is swirling in his mind...

As he speaks he looks at the other equipment availible in case anything catches his eye.

Just shy of 60 mph, what type is Jonas' glitter boy? I can keep up with a Standard or Hawkeye  but if its a Point model I'll be hard pressed.\

Re: Pluto Company - 2nd Platoon

Tyirraks ears caught Zephrams musings, and decided he might as well address the situation now, while it came up. He stood up from behind a crate and addressed the dark-skinned earth warlock.

"Lieutenant, I am of the opinion that my squad would be most effective in combat pairs, consisting of myself and Takamatsu, Jelme and Marlene, and then Jonas as backup artillery. Since he would be alone, I thought giving him backup in the form of an elemental might be wise should he be counterattacked."

Even while speaking he seemed to study and analyse his ranked superior, out of sheer instinctual habit.

"In this manner complimentary qualifications can be grouped together, or focused for specific duties, while leaving no member without backup."

"Of course, this would require yourself or another one of the warlocks to summon an elemental to assist Jonas. The advantage of the elemental might be that the assistance be discreet until required, drawing out less retaliation on Jonas' position than might otherwise occur, resulting in a increased ability to counterattack the counterattackers."

Re: Pluto Company - 2nd Platoon

"I think we'll keep it simple for now.  Three squads, one platoon.  But I'll take your recommendation under advisement for a possible fallback formation.  But we'll be spending most of our time all together like a happy family."  Zephram's preference is to keep his responses brief, although his training told him to respond with "because I told you so".  In relaxed situations like this, he could afford the generosity of an explanation for his sergeants.

"I have always been a big fan of counter-attacking the counterattackers myself. I think that plan has merit." It is hard to tell if Sharp is being sarcastic or not from behind his scarlet mask his face is mostly unreadable. His voice is as always serious.

Sharp requests a new hovercycle and chestplate for his armor as well as recharged e-clips and a full compliment of explosives to replace the ones he used making his I.E.D.

To Zephram "No - I don't sell computers... You scared of guns? Your spells can't reach as far as a Coalition Rifle, or a missile launcher."

To Takamatsu "You don't see anything you like?  What, are you a pacifist drug-warrior? Go stand over there if you don't want anything, you are blocking the customers."

To Reginald "Do you see a bloody tank you ugly motherfucker? I have hovercycles, 6 of them - and they're free from Tolkeen. Their Techno-wizard nerds made two different types. You want the first kind... or the second kind."

To Sharp "Hey a real soldier - a chestplate? I have a few suits of Old Style Coalition armour, and les new ones. I even have the new Quebec body armour. E-clips are free for the taking, but if any of you fucks grab enough to go sell down the street I will hold you down and rape you with a Coalition CTT-P40 Heavy Rifle.... The grenades are Light, Heavy, Frag, and plasma."

To Osema "Fusion blocks? Are you talking to me? Can you form full sentences? Hey guys - your bald monkey is throwing feces at my textiles."

To Marlene "What the hell. I am a person you know, not a shop keeper in one of those Role Playing video games."
