When finished loading up - you may jump ahead to the next morning and post in CHapter Seven : Waiting. Find a seat at the barracks and prepare for the new Major to introduce himself.

OOC: One last thing before moving on.

The Madness, who has been in a strange state since his brush with death, walks around Tolkeen with this expression that suggests he is perpetually forgetting what he is about to say. He stops at trees and smells their leaves and meanders about with his eyes glazed, as if he were high.

Finding Ahnaka after she has negotiated her contract, he steps up to her and smiles for only a moment. "Lady of Magic, you have saved my life. I'll always be grateful. As such, I will do the noble thing and marry you if it turns out you are carrying my child," What?? "But for now, I have to go and do something. Something dangerous. I may not return. Or maybe parts of me will return and I will need severe bionic reconstruction. So I guess there's not much more to it then that. Don't cry. I've seen how this all ends, and things will be ok."

He starts to walk away and then remembers something: "Oh, and if you think about it, could you murder the Brodkil when they are asleep? It would mean a lot."

With that, he throws his hiking backpack over his shoulder and heads towards the gates.

Shaking her head, the tattooed woman watches the psychotic psychic meander away.  It's been some time since she was amongst such an...eclectic group.

Turning her attention to more important matters, she headed for the hospital with requisition orders to resupply her medical needs.

The following morning at 0700 hours Pluto Company is ready to head out to the village of Embradonne (Em-brad-on). They know they will still be connected to Tolkeen quite well, and will not have to worry overly about being cut off. This means supplies and reinforcements should not be a problem.

Major Zor Karno will decide the formation of the platoons - and how they spread out for the trip - which should only take a few hours.

The mercenary Ahnaka Kale owns and pilots a Northern Gun hover car - a knock off of the Coalition model. Sergeant Dresteran and the mercenary Photios as passengers.

Sergeant Jack and Oksana take to the skies along with Calliandra who has a shiny new Wild Weasel SAMAS - a Bandito Arms knock-off of the famous Coalition Air PA.

The rest of the platoon is on various TW hovercycles, except for Attila whom is on foot.

Presumably, Photios takes his seat in the back of the Hovercar as they head out. Drawing out his blades and seating them across his lap, Helmet beside him on the seat. Waiting for the trip to begin before he tries to make conversation, "So then, you are Ahnaka Kale and Dresteran? We have not been properly introduced, I am Photios Dimitrios Erasmus, though you can call me Photios, Dimitri, Era... hmm, what else have I been called?"

   The only person Oksana has even spoken to in her platoon, Photios, has just gotten into a hover car and she is once again on her own.  She doesn't mind terribly as it has been the case for most of her life.  But it feels strange to be working in a team where one should rely upon each other for their lives, without even being introduced.
   You could've talked to them yourself, you know  Oksan thinks to herself.  But she quickly quells this line of thought as she knows herself better than that.

   When the time comes, to her judgement that would be when the other airborne members of her team have taken to the sky, Oksana will launch herself upward with a massive flap of her wings.  There is the sound of a hundred swords being drawn from their sheathes as her metallic wings flex and flap.  It is not until she reaches a cruising speed that she can partially glide and the noise is reduced.  Oksana tries to keep pace with Calliandra in the power armour.  If the samas is too fast, Oksana will use her teleportation ability to keep up.

   She will also try to keep a watch over the hover car with her platoon's leadership inside...

Glancing out the window he notices Oksana and smiles slightly learning that she is in the same platoon as he is. Not sure what radio frequency she happens to be using he shrugs and returns his attention to those in the car beside him.

Dresteran scwols at Photios and responds:

"Yes I am Dresteran, Sergeant Dresteran - master of water. I don't normally waste time getting to know all the newly hired mercenaries.... just isn't worth it in the end..."

Tilting his head he tries to hide his smile, "Forgive me... Sargeant Dresteran. You needn't worry about that with me, I don't plan on dying to the Coalition anytime soon. Then again, most probably don't, eh?"

Jack ignores them all, simply relishing in his flying in his natural form, though he does an eye out for trouble. Occasionally he look towards the grounded members of his platoon or over to Callie in her SAMAS. But for the most part, he simply flies.

First platoon moves out just ahead of the nine trucks. The massive Cannon Fodder can be seen flying at point, ahead of Second Platoon.

Riding a TW hover cycle like many member of Pluto Company Zor like every one else hears the report of dead bodies ahead. Caution is our best ally. He thought to himself as he issued a few brief orders over the radio.

~“Pluto two, this is Pluto Six, send a scout to investigate. Pluto One, and Three set up hasty defensive positions.”~

He then points his TW Hover cycle to the right side of the road at a 45 degree angle, motioning for Lord Osema and his Broddkil  to move to the left and his fellow True Atlanteans to follow him.

   Oksana hears the radio chatter and waits to be given some orders.  When none are immediately forthcoming, she wonders what she is supposed to do.  She sees her commander pull over to the side of the road and hold his position.  Oksana remains airborne and just hovers high above him without moving any further.  She glances down at Zor and also tries to keep an eye out on the surrounding terrain.  She uses the telescopic lens in conjunction with the thermal imager on her multi-optic visor to scan for anything on the ground that appears out of the ordinary.

Reginald looks to Klowkuh and nods silently.

Unable to do much from in the back of the Hovercar, Photios listens in and looks out the windows of the car at least wanting to help keep watch. He held the door hand in one hand and his helmet in the other, ready to hop out and arm himself quickly.

Osema makes a circular motion in the air with a clawed bony finger and "rounds" his pack up moving off to the left as instructed. Once they are off a good distance he stops and removes his helmet to speak to his crew.

Zor was surprised nothing had occurred on the way to Madtown, as intel had suggested there may be one or two CS special forces unit operating in the area. This was of course the whole reason Pluto Company was tasked with escorting those trucks.

Upon receiving a radio transmission from Major Shira Zor simply replies ~“Copy that, on the way. Pluto company set up hasty fighting postions for the momnet.”~ Zor did not ask for where the Major was lest the CS was listening in. Then Major would send some one fron 4th platoon to show them the way.

Before moving ahead Zor remembers that Lord Osema was acting a little suspicious while on the move and gives the creature and his minions a warning. “Behave yourselves while in this town; specifically do not start any fights with the town’s people, and for gods sake don’t kill and rape any of the men or women folk, follow these simply rules and I’ll allow you to kill as many CS troops as you please during battle. Understood?” Zor hated micromanagement but Better to keep the dogs on an leash. he surmised.

Zor then motions for his Headquarters platoon to move ahead with him.

  Oksana soared through the air effortlessly as her wings seemed to propel her beyond what aerodynamics should allow.  She still hung near enough to Calliandra in her power armour, but was beginning to relax a bit in her role within a team.  Even if she was still little more than just another anonymous new face.

  With Major Karno's broadcast about Hasty defences, Oksana was a little uncertain.  She wondered if this was part of some military routine and it occurred to her that the order might only have been intended for the ground troops.  Surely the airborne soldiers would be better used for some long-range patrols.  Oksana would just dollow the lead of Calliandra in this matter.  The elven mutant didn't mind digging trenches, if it was requested of her - but she also didn't want to break any military rules of etiquette.

Tired of being cooped up in the Hovercar, Erasmus steps out and slips on his helmet. Settling his swords at his waist he hops on top of the Hovercar for the slow ride into the center of the town escorting the Major. There was always a chance that there could be anti-tolkeen rebels within the town and their guard should be up at all times.

Glancing up into the sky at Oksana, he made a note to set up a private radio channel for next time so they could banter back and forth when there was nothing else to do. A laugh slipped from his lips, thinking of how out of place he would look among most of the peoples here... but among those of Tolkeen he looked downright normal. Who would have ever thought a suit of matte black Samurai Armor would go unnoticed? Then again, they were surrounded by demons and there was a shining silver winged woman flying just above him... what a strange world this was.

"Sir I assure you that my men and I are complete professionals." Osema gives a new meaning to the word toothy grin. He and the pack stay close as they move out to find a good spot to set up in for the time being.
