Zor shakes his head wondering how Portia become an officer Well she must have dome something good at some point or another, lets hope this is the only time she makes herself looks bad.

“Lieutenant Lynn I see no reason to beat Lieutenant Dyvalis, it seems he was only acting in defense of others. Nor shall you beat Sergeant Razgriz or any other members of your platoon regarding this incident."

Zor then gets on the radio.

~“Ramenhotep? Have you found Nilus yet?”~

~“1st platoon I want a status report on your recent engagement.”~

"It has nothing to do with this incident Sir. I am not sure if you want to micromanage every aspect of each platoon or only those with whining ass mercenaries who long for their mothers teat and cry out for help when they cannot help themselves. If you do then obviously I am all for that. If that is not the case then I must be allowed to do the job I was appointed to in the manner I see fit. Of course I will do it by the book. If I cannot then by all means please promote one of these nincimpoops and send me back to Tolkeen where I can lead some real troops who want to fight the enemy instead of pandering around like a bunch of mealy mouth cocksuckers....Sir."

“Lt. Lynn it would do well if your mind your manners when speaking to myself or a superior. I could care less how you speak to or run your platoon as long as all beings are fit to fight when the time comes. I am quite sure you can work around that, say for example have those that need discipline build a fighting position and once finished  have take down the fighting position, only to build it again. Hopefully they will learn from their mistakes and not make them again. Understood?”

Cannon Fodder rubs his temples unable to believe the idea of leaving Lynn in charge is still in Zor's mind....anyone can see the woman is insane.

"While involved in this situation, I would like to point out that the idea of the watermelon is a perfect example of the original order that caused all of this. The goblin... I mean Nilus... had not done anything I am aware of to come off as a moron at all. The order to construct a gallows was odd, and random - just like fetching a watermelon. I believe that is why it was ignored - not to mention he did not understand the order. He runs a team of demolition experts... I would imagine they are good at what they do. And Sgt. Razgriz - I believe you can put down the rope... we will not be needing it. Lieutenant Lynn, after this has drawn to a close - perhaps we should take a few moments to sort out our differences. We are going to be serving together - and I think it would be beneficial if we did not go on hating each other over this..."

Ramenhotep is not surprised to find the members of Firefly Squad aiming their weapons at the creature.

"Ordering my return? ugh... tell him if that bitch or one of her goons so much as looks at me or my crew funny I am going to blow her and them to bits."

   "That sounds wonderful."  Ramenhotep responds, eyeing the weapons with more curiosity than fear.

    He uses his radio once more.  "Karno, I have contacted Nilus and he will be returning shortly."  Then, looking back to Nilus, he continues.  "You can tell him yourself.  You and I will be seeing less of each other now as I will be remaining in 2nd Platoon.  I hope the rest of your term of service is a happy one.  If there is nothing else, then Good day sir."
   With that, Ramenhotep will back up a few paces and then leap back into the air.  He wonders why the demolition team were so defensive upon his approach.  Perhaps this is not the first time they have deserted their post?  A previous occasion might have resulted in violence... Ramenhotep's speculation is pointless however and he returns to the rest of his platoon.

"Understood Sir. Though I am sure the Coalition will gladly do the honors of taking them down for us." Portia replies respectfully then turns her attention away from Major Karno, who she anticipates will be leaving for more important matters, and back to her own platoon. "Yes Sergeant I agree with Second Lieutenant Dyvalis put the rope down. You will not be accepting the Lieutenants punishment for him. Not alone anyway. The entire platoon will bear the burden for his insubordination until the time he chooses to comply with the initial order I issued. For now you are all dismissed. Go and report to Mercenary Sergeant Silvermasque from the Third. He seems to be the only one doing anything constructive around here. Report to me before you bed down for the evening. That will be all.

The fiery petite woman turns her intimidating gaze from the group over to just Dyvalis. "You want to talk? Talk. After that I will talk and when we are finished talking we will understand one another. Seeing some of the members of the platoon not moving as quick as she would like she lets out a yell that is startlingly fierce for a person her size."You heard me MOVE YOUR ASSES!" Picking up her radio she calls out over the channel designated for all of Pluto Company.

"Mercenary Sergeant Silvermasque... I have some help headed your way. Please ensure that they are supplied with an inordinate supply of drudge work. If any of them give you any problems send them to me.

Razgriz eyes the Platoon commander quite narrowly, he was technically a 'Good' Necromancer... but that didn't mean he thought intimidation was no longer a valid form of leadership. Especially with demons and other such creatures, he was quite glad at that moment his own Undead were for the most part quite literally Mindless Zombies.

Removing the noose and Saluting the superior officers, he heads off towards where he parked his hovercycle. Glaring at those still unmoved before heading off towards where they were commanded to go.

Andy had his hand up in the air as he looked up at Major Karno, "Sir, may I request bein shifted to a diff'rent platoon? As a merc, I gotta say... yer simply not paying me enough to work under the conditions within this one. Even more simply put, ah would not risk my life for this commander, payed or not."

“I’ll think about it.” Zor then leaves to back to the mountain of paper work he has to deal with, part of which was reorganizing Pluto Company...

"yes I also would like to be moved out of this Platoon, I have no confidence in Lt. Lynn's competence as a commanding officer"

"Stupid peons! This is war and you are concerened about polite manners! I expect your new officers will be very polite and bow to you and suck your dicks off whenever you please. But don't come back to this one when you realize smiles and charm dont help when the skull-faces are laughing over your corpses..."

Cannon Fodder ignores Burd

Razgriz catches Burd's comment as he mounts up and has a loud slitherish laugh, agreeing with the Demon's assessment. There would be a lot less soldiers in Pluto Company after this engagement with the CS, of that he was sure.

"Chuckleface, anybody told ye yer a bloody idjit? Manners got nothing to do with it. She could swear her face off and shit on commanding officers if I thought obeying her orders would keep us alive any longer." Black Andy didn't so much rise to Burds taunts as spit back at him, both literally and figuratively, as he spat in the dirt in Burds direction, hocking it up between his grinning teeth.

Looking over from where she awaits an answer from her second in command Portia interjects as everyone heads out. "Keeping my people alive is a priority in order to maintain an effective combat ready unit. Putting my men in a position where they can succeed is a direct reflection on my ability as a leader." Portia says coldly as if speaking to a child who should have realized the obviousness of that simple concept. Anyone with even an inkling of ability to read a persons motivations can tell however that the she places more importance on the "reflection of her" portion than the "keeping my people alive" part. "Worry about who you will be serving under later and get your sorry asses to work like you were ordered. All of you!" The last part she says looking over at Burd and Severin.

"Ma'am... I WAS working before ye called me and the rest of the squad over here for this idiocy. And if'n ye can't keep your demons in line while we all be workin, I'll be reportin the next time I have to stop workin to defend myself against one o' their unprovoked attacks." Andy's expression was hard to read, since the natural toothy grin tended to overwhelm most of the other expressions.

Cannon Fodder goes back to what he was doing, really hoping for that transfer in the back of his mind.

"Did that sack of shit just say unprovoked?"

He says as he begins to walk away... after only a few steps he turns back to Portia

"What is it you wanted me to do again?"

"Begone!" Portia yells at the Thornhead Demon vehemently. Then in a more soothing and almost parental tone she adds, "And please try not to kill anyone. Even if they really deserve it."

After the troops have shufled off to their duties Dyvalis takes this advantage to speak with Portia.

   From the air, Ramenhotep can see his platoon moving away from Portia and Karno, although Lieutenant Dyvalis appears to be remaining behind.  Rather than overuse the radio, the sphinx swoops in and lands not far from his commanding officer.
   "Lieutenant Portia,  I'm afraid I wasn't present for any orders you may have given the platoon.  Should I accompany them?"

Portia looks up from where she is standing and speaking with Dyvalis. She looks for an instant like she is going to yell angrily but instead says in a voice loud enough for the Sphinx to hear. "The others have gone to do drudge work. Join them if you like. I would prefer you work on the wards that will be needed in defense of this town. Perhaps meet with that Atlantean Magus who keeps blabbing on the radio. As long as you are doing something productive I do not care." She waves the Sphinx off with her tiny gloved hand and turns her attention back to the elf standing in front of her.

Cannon Fodder lumbers over towards the church and finds a space he can stand in while being out of the way, well as out of the way something his size can be.
