Behind the mercenary trader - Zed, a scrolling-text news report supplies updates and strategies regarding the war.

- Four more Tolkeen towns destroyed by advancing Coalition forces.
- Tolkeen forces recue over a dozen prisoners from the clutches of The Coalition.
- Coalition has increased the use of psychics that interfere with magic. Recent studies have revealed that if the caster focuses his intent and purposely exerts his magic potential - the magic can beat the psionic interference. If you notice your magic is not working properly, try to use more energy than usual.

Re: C7 : (2nd Platoon)

Black Andy sidled up to Zed's displays and picked through in the manner of an expert scrounger, mumbling at a bass rumble, punctuated by the occasional hollow chuckling as he found something interesting.

Finally he just glanced up at Zed, "Hey there metalhead. How's business? he said familiarly, "All I want is some long E-clips, maybe another drum or two of Wellington grenades, and a box of railgun rounds."

"Gotten any interesting bot's in recently?" he finished up, merely curious.

Zed finishes dealing with another customer just as Black Andy talks to him. "Hmm? Yes business is great around here. They say its' all about supply and demand. I sell war to warriors... how do you think business is doing?"

Zed grabs a nylon bag and puts the e-clips, one drum of grenades, and a box of railgun rounds inside. Using the draw string, he closes the bag and hands it to Andy.

"In case you didn't know Tolkeen doesn't charge for ammo. And no I don't deal in bots. I had a bad experience with a skelebot once - try my partner Smith - he might have what you are looking for."

"Ammunition please."  Ramenhotep keeps his request simple.  He hefts a heavy-looking rail gun into view from its position slung under his chest so Zed will know what type of rounds to fetch for him.  Ramenhotep eyes Kelthos and his collection of magic gear suspiciously as he waits for service from the crazy.
The weapon is a standard-issue Coalition SAMAS rail gun.

Zed doesn't say a word to Ramenhotep. He opens his eyes widely and waises an eyebrow. He turns slowly behind him to grab a drum for the classic rail gun, then turns sharply back as to catch the creature in the middle of an attack, before unsteadily handing the drum to Ramen as though he were a naked man with three heads.

When it appears that all of her platoon has arrived Lt. Lynn decides to speak to them before they disperse for the evening. Pulling her hood off once again the slight woman looks even more radiant than anyone who has seen her before remembers. When she speaks it is with such authority that passersby stop and do a double take. (OOC; She has a Charasmatic Aura and Aura of Power active. PB:21, MA:23)

Attention!... Greetings everyone to Pluto Company, Second Platoon. I am your commanding officer Lt. Portia Lynn. I want to make it clear that I am a caring and understanding woman who appreciates individuality and it is my policy to allow everyone under my command alot of leeway to do what they do best. However if you disobey my orders there will be repercussions. If you do so in the field you will be immediately executed. From what I understand most of you are new to Pluto Company. I am as well and I am certain we will make our mark. Most of you I hand chose though all I really know about you is what is in your files for the most part. I must say that the Tolkeen Military is lacking in some of the particulars I find important. To that end I have created a questionaire that you are to fill out and return to me tommorow morning at the briefing. You are free for the evening so go do as you will. If you do not turn in the form completely filled out then I will have you beaten. This information will be kept private but if I find out you omit or falsify information I will have you beaten and docked a weeks pay. Good evening to you all I look forward to serving with you.

The fiery young Lieutenant pulls out a stack of papers and holds them up to the monstrous Thornhead Demon who begins handing them out like a proper personal assistant. That in itself says alot.

OOC:Here is the questionaire just send it to me in a PM please. :)

The Lieutenant waits a short while to see if any of the platoon wish to speak with her about anything before returning to her housing unit for the evening.

Lt. Dyvalis stands behind the young lieutenant as her servant hands out surveys, clearly seperating himself from the low ranks and the hired help. His face seems to be fixed in a perma-scowl, and one gets the impression he has no idea how to laugh. His eyes are reddened, as though he had just finished crying, but again, this seems to be the way he always looks.

Surprised that the supernatural mercs can even read, he rolls his eyes as he watches them fumble with their questionaire. The whole process seems rediculous, but the lieutenant likely had her reasons. If this degenerated into some kind of concentration name game for children however, he would have to sit out.

As everyone is filing away or seemingly intent on getting the form done immediately Portia takes the remainders from Burd the Thornhead Demon. as she packs them into her black leather satchel she keeps one. folds it in half and slides it across the table to Dyvalis. "I do not like surprises lieutenant though I accept that war is full of them. When they arise I intend to be as prepared as is humanly possible. As such I intend to know as much about everyone under my command as I can. Until tommorow Lieutentant." She says nodding respectfully and walking away talking to the Thornhead and Tauton that are walking along beside her. Anyone easvesdropping or with exceptional hearing would hear something along the lines of; "talismans tonight...same routine as last time... no mistakes."

Re: C7 : (2nd Platoon)

The following morning at 0700 hours Pluto Company is ready to head out to the village of Embradonne (Em-brad-on). They know they will still be connected to Tolkeen quite well, and will not have to worry overly about being cut off. This means supplies and reinforcements should not be a problem.

Major Zor Karno will decide the formation of the platoons - and how they spread out for the trip - which should only take a few hours.

Lieutenant Lynn can arrange how this platoon is organized however.

Lynn herself pilots an alien hovercycle

Dyvalis - a demonic horse

Sergeant Razgriz and Corporal Kamada still have their TW hovercycles

Pvt. Deacon - takes to the skies with his TW turbo wing - along with Ramenhotep and Cannon Fodder.

Burd, Ret'la, Jess'Voruk, Jeran and Severin all ride atop a Tolkeen Demon hover-Barge.

Black Andy pilots his own modified Bobcat hovercycle

While The Fire Fly Demolition Squad takes the mountaineer (Nilus, DeeVee, Gregorious, and Payl) - formerly piloted by Ulik the Mystic Knight. The 3 orc brothers (Ikuk, Jomo, Ludo) form a triangle perimeter around it on hovercycles.

Re: C7 : (2nd Platoon)

Portia arrived on her Eyelor hovercycle which travels along in complete silence. Her hood up as it always seems to be and she is sporting a pair of goggles and air filter mask similar to those fancied by Line-Walkers. She unstraps the mask so she can speak and when she does her voice has a tinge of anger instead the cold emotionless tone she had the previous evening. While hardened soldiers are likely not all that impressed even they would note that depsite her small size the woman is a touch intimidating.

"Im not going to tell you how to travel for godssake. You can use the buddy system for all I care. When we get to Mad Town and I am able to make more informed decisions you will have my orders. Regarding orders I may have not been clear so let me reiterate with a direct order. For the few of you under my command that have not turned in the form I gave you last night your deadline is thirty minutes after we reach our destination. At that point we will be in field and failure to comply will be seen as an act of insubordination. As such it will be dealt with accordingly under the military law Tolkeen established at the outset of this conflict. I beg you to test me on this so I can clear the weeds from the garden before any of our lives actually depend on it. That will be all."

Lieutenant Lynn straps her air filter back into place and zips off on her hovercycle. Presumably leaving Dyvalis and Razgriz to round up the platoon and head out.

OOC: Moloch if you can please let me know if any of the 2nd platoon NPC's willfully disobey by not turning in the form. Otherwise I will assume they complied and you can just get me the info whenever. If a PC does not post one way or the other in a reasonable time after we arrive then I will also assume they have no intention of cooperating either.

Dyvalis rides along on his devil-horse up near the front of the platoon. His eyes look tired and bloodshot. Re: C7 : (2nd Platoon)

After she was informed 2nd platoon was to lead the pack Portia decided that despite her foul mood it would be best not to sulk and to put her platoon in order. Even if it is only for appearances sake.

"Okay, Cannon Fodder go and live up to your namesake. You have the point. I want you at least 500ft up in the air and a few thousand feet in front of us at all times. Razgriz you take Corporal Kamada and Ramenhotep with you and cover the left flank at least 3000ft out. Second Lieutenant Dyvalis you take Private Deacon and the Grackletooth to cover the right flank in the same manner. The rest of us will remain centralized. Maintain staggered positions as you are able. Should you see anything of interest report directly to me over 2nd platoons frequency and I will decide whether or not it is worth bothering the Major with. We will keep this formation all the way to Madtown regardless of our position in the convoy. That will be all. Move out!"

Portia rises silently into the air on her mystic hovercycle and moves into position ahead of the demon barge and mountaineer. Though Cannon Fodder is up front as a big missile shield she is still in a sense leading the way.

We will have plenty more digging to do when we arrive so if there's nothing else I say we carry on our way. The only thing I want to know is if it looks like the work of Coalition, Atlanteans, or Xiticix so we know what to expect."

The haggard Elf spends most of his time on the radio, not even looking at Black Andy or Deacon.

"I happen to be free for the next thirty minutes or so Sir Sphinx so visit me at your convenience. Firefly squad you guys are supposed to be handy so do me a favor before joining the others. Make sure this town has a gallows complete with a noose. If it does not you have exactly... twenty-nine minutes to build me a decent approximation of one. The rest of you heard the Major. HQ squad set up in the church. Unless there's any objections."

Afterwards he calls over to Sgt. Razgriz. "Sergeant, organize our men into hasty defensive positions to the northeast. While Lt. Lynn and I are meeting with the officers you'll be in charge of our position. Familiarize yourself with the area, soft and hard cover, etc. You know what to do."

Re: C7 : (2nd Platoon)

Once his conversation with the villager was complete he took up Dyvalis' orders, heading out to the northeast edge of the city. Finding himself quite at home as they pass by the Town graveyard he takes a quick scan of this edge of town and the complete lack of any defensible structures or even any buildings using modern techniques and materials.

Taking stock of the composition of the platoon he realizes they have a majority of non-magically capable members. Though they do have the Demolitions squad and the giant Adarok, "Letss get to work you crretinss."

He directs the majority of the platoon to a position just to the north east of town, near the shoreline hopefully upon a rock formation, to begin construction of a bunker. Sand, dirt, and as many large rocks as can be found are to be used in its construction. If theres going to be a defensive line set up around the city, they're going to need a good anchor point at the junction of water and land. Once more information deciding the defenses of the town are arrived at they can begin on a wall, moat, pits, or other defensible structures. But he was quite sure that a large bunker here would be vital.

Re: C7 : (2nd Platoon)

Andy waved at the grackletooth sheriff of Madtown as he zoomed by on his wide-seated Bobcat hovercycle with the rest of his platoon. His cigar left a smoke-trail streaking behind him at his headlevel.

Upon arriving at the location and being instructed to start making a bunker, he rummages in the sidesaddles of his bike and comes up with two fold-out MDC-material shovels. Strong enough to slice chunks of rock with the amount of force Andy could bring to bear. His tail snaked over his shoulder and snagged one of the shovels.

He ashed his cigar on the blade of the other shovel and put it away, propping up his hat and his quartet of large rifle-like weapons against the bike, leaving his pistols strapped to his thighs. He stripped off the poncho too, revealing a X-shaped leather harness with a forcefield generator on it over the pebbly skin of his wide chest and back. He also sported a trio of vibro-hatchets sheathed along its edge.

Then he got to work on the earthworks. They'd have to make a core of stable ground before putting on some MDC plating. There had to be a place where they could get plating in the town.

"Of course, let me get to the point.  Wards are intimately related with runes.  Without runes, wards are raw, indiscriminate.  They are powerful and will kill or maim friend and foe alike.  Runes are the control and they allow the ward maker to specifically include or exclude his friends or enemies from the harmful or beneficial effects of his magic.  The runes function by identifying friend or foe by their true name, by their race, whether they are magic users or not, or whether they are innately good or evil.  It is my wish to defend this town with my magic and to do so, I would ask that I be provided with some method to avoid injuring our own forces or the citizens of this town.  Aside from using runes, I can also include or exclude a person with a drop of their blood.  Although this method requires a single drop for each separate ward.  Is there anything you can do to assist in gaining cooperation?  I can understand some people's reluctance in providing their true names.  But surely it wouldn't hurt to give me their race?  I know all the coalition to be humans, psi-stalkers, and mutant animals.  I only wish to make my magic as effective as possible."

Ramenhotep's little speech is almost like a business presentation.  He speaks very professionally and with eloquence.  But the fact that he is talking about finding the most efficient method to kill the enemy is not lost on the sphinx and he has a tone of respect in his voice.  Respect for Portia as well as for his enemy.

Portia doesn't exactly have to "look up" at Ramenhotep.  Although he weighs in at three quarters of a ton, he stands only five-foot-four-inches tall.  He grins at Portia's request with a slightly surprised expression.

"There are not many with such knowledge of my art.  But you are fundamentally correct.  It is possible to affix a ward to the flesh of a living creature and imbue mystic abilities upon them.  There are a few requirements however.  Firstly, this type of ward must be a permanence ward which must be carved from the bone of a demon, deevil, or god.  It takes many hours to carve and it must be perfect.  Secondly, the ward must be physically sewn into the flesh of the recipient so that it can merge with their body.  This process is capable of bestowing virtually any ward or spell ability upon the user.  So, if one chose the correct spells then it would be possible to grant the appearance of being supernatural.  I am uncertain however if the creature would actually be considered a true supernatural.  I know there are certain magics and psychic abilities that are sensitive only to supernatural creatures.  I haven't yet had the occasion to test those abilities against a mortal affixed with a permanence ward."

Ramenhotep pauses momentarily before continuing.  "However, I have not yet seen any true demons in the vicinity.  Gargoyles and brodkil are subordinate members of that family tree and their bones will not suffice.  Are there any summoners among us?  I wouldn't normally recommend summoning for the purposes of harvesting components, but these are getting to be desperate times."

Portia looks down at her watch noting only a few minutes have passed. She accepts a completed form from Kamada with no reply waving the woman off. She scans it quickly before putting it into a filefolder in one of the saddlebags attached to her hovercycle.

"Please note that this ward will require several days to prepare.  Approximately 120 hours. I do not mind making one for this mission, but I doubt there will be time to make two.  Out of curiosity, how do you intend to get the bone?  Frankly, I'm not really the type to go skinning a demon... Ramenhotep and Cpl. Kamada are with the Sergeant as he gets closer to the argument. The daemonix named Jess'Voruk has now pushed the thornhead named Burd to the ground.

Pvt. Deacon has recently been ordered to meet with Cpl. Fanel - but Cannon Fodder, and Black Andy are near-by as well.

Re: C7 : (2nd Platoon)

The meeting ran over the thirty minutes that Portia had alloted and that frustrated her of course. It was something not in her control however so she did not dwell on it for long. She made a cursory inspection of the town on her hovercycle before stopping at the inn to comandeer a room so she would have a place to stay. She spent a few minutes in her room freshening up and making some preparations before departing back out into the streets of Madtown. She was disapointed in not finding the gallows she had requested and in truth angry at having been spoken to so rudely. Finding a suitable spot in the center of town she parks her hovercycle and calls out over the radio. "This is first Lieutenant Portia Lynn. All members of 2nd platoon report to  the townsquare immediately."

While the soldiers begin to arrive she spends her time fashioning a noose out of durable nylon rope and then affixing it over the top of a sturdy street lamp. The slack end she walks over and ties to the back of her hovercycle. She removes her helmet and stands silently until all arrive. She is surrounded by a palpable aura of intimidation. Looking intently at over her troops she announces. "Pluto Company on the whole is one of the largest collection of first rate fuckups I have ever encountered. Without a doubt there is exceptional talent in the ranks and for that reason alot of nonsense is overlooked. I too understand that and you will find I am quite willing to let professionals do what they do best and with a fair amount of leash. One thing I will not stand for however is insubordination.

Holding out the noose she says in a calm and cold voice. Nilus leader of Firefly Squad step forward and submit yourself for punishment under article 103.7 of the Tolkeen Doctrine of Warfare. Your charge is disobeying a direct order from a superior officer. Place this noose around your neck. She holds the noose out a little further towards the goblin fully expecting him to take it and do as he is told.

Re: C7 : (2nd Platoon)

Ramenhotep watches as the demon-skirmish dies down and he is startled by the crackle of his radio.  Portia's voice sounds sharper than it had before.  The sphinx wastes no time in following her instruction and he launches himself into the air like a cat leaping up onto a table.  His wings spread and they carry him over the few buildings between him and the town square.  He is probably one of the first to arrive and he takes a four-legged stance in front of his lieutenant.
He looks around in order to spot the rest of his platoon approaching.

When Portia delivers her small speech and calls upon Nilus to submit himself, Ramenhotep is more than a little shocked.  He recalls the threat of torture on her questionaire and wonders if all this is an act meant to intimidate the weak-willed.  Any creature would be mad to willingly place a noose around his neck, unless Ramenhotep was simply not understanding what it meant to be a soldier.  He decided to watch the events unfold and find out.  His sharp eyes zoomed in on Portia's face, watching for some hint of her true motivation...

I am out of here - and I am taking my company and all of our supplies. If you even try to stop us we will blow the shit out of you, and if you are thinking that you may be able to stop us - just think about how YOUR officer will react after you lose half your platoon - over a retarded order, follwed by yet another retarded order. With that Nilus turns his hovercycle around. He and the rest of Firefly Squad are on their way out of town...

Lieutenant Dyvalis takes a position next to Lt. Lynn. He quietly watches what is unfolding in the platoon...

Burd and Jeran arrive together, and remain as far as possible from Ret'La dn Jess'Voruk - the two Daemonix.

Corporal Kamada takes her place next to Razgriz up near the front of the pack - facing the Lieutenants.

Private Deacon is one of the last to arrive, on his TW wing board.

Severin and Black Andy have yet to arrive.

Portia listens to Nilus and considers his threat for a moment. Long enough for him to lead his crew away. "That is acceptable." She says though the Firefly squad is already heading out of town. She chews the corner of her lip for moment and hears Cannon conversing with Ramenhotep. Turning she glares angrily up at the creature that towers over her but her face becomes an emotionless mask again before speaking.

"I would have thought that as a slave you would have learned how to hold your tongue and show respect. I did not ignore anything I instructed the dolts to go ahead and kill one another as long as no Tolkeen citizens were involved. Black Andy probably stuck his nose in where it did not belong. I could care less if any of you kill one another off. I am not your friend nor will I ever be. I am your leader and you will do as you are instructed. We will be a cohesive unit and we will be an effective fighting force.

Portia offers the rope to Lieutenant Dyvalis who is standing next to her. Still looking out at the gathered members of 2nd platoon she says, "I had no intention of hanging the goblin to death. However after he disobeyed a direct order for the second time while in the field of operations I had planned on killing him. It was better to let him go though. Perhaps he and his crew can still be of some use to Tolkeen in another platoon or company made up of unprofessional morons. Turning her atention to her second in command she says calmly. "Second Lieutenant Dyvalis submit yourself for corporal punishment. You can put the noose either around your neck or just your wrists if it would make everyone more comfortable."

Since you have disobeyed two direct orders, both of which were given during a time of war, I could technically have you executed. Though it is highly unlikely I would get away with such an act... at least in regards to you. With the goblin I would have and there is certainly no conspiracy involved in that. While I doubt Severin is well versed in the revised Tolkeen Code of Military Justice he does have a valid point. You have overextended your authority. You are dissmissed Lieutenant.

The mirth having disappeared from her face as she spoke Portia once again lets a slight smile play across her thin red lips.

"Unless of course...lieutenant... you or anyone else would like to try and express your heartfelt sentiments in a more physical manner. Then we could get all of this over with very quickly I assure you."

Portia drops the noose into the dirt and awaits the arrival of Major Karno. While she doubts anything else other than whining protests will occur she does however stand prepared. Zor then asks Potia her side of the story.

“Lieutenant Lynn what is your side of the story?” in a slightly irritated voice and stares at her with his one good eye.

“Oh and explain to me why a gallows was to be constructed, and why you thought that of all units a demolition squad, who’s expertise is blowing stuff of up would know how to build a gallows. You should have asked if we had anybody here with engineering experience.”

OOC: I’ve only briefly read what has occurred in this thread and any decision Zor make will be based upon characters explanations. Re: C7 : (2nd Platoon)

Portia gives Major Karno a quick salute as well when he shows. "Good evening Sir. Sorry you were interrupted. There was certainly no need for it I assure you." Lynn looks over at Dyvalis and says, "The Second lieutenant has the jist of it correct actually. However he either remembers incorrectly or is exagerating about the orders I issued him. My exact words were in fact; 'Second Lieutenant Dyvalis submit yourself for corporal punishment. You can put the noose either around your neck or just your wrists if it would make everyone more comfortable.'

Portia pulls a small digital recorder from the folds in her robes.

I have it all right here on an audio recording actually that I intend to include with my report. Second Lieutenant Dyvalis rather than displaying a set of balls and submitting himself for just punishment after having disobeyed a direct order, with multiple documented reminders I might add, decided to try and change the subject by questionng my ability to command and overstepping his authority. The whole ordeal is rather silly really. The Sergeant here being a good Sergeant offered up himself to accept the punishment for the second Lieutenant. I was waiting to see if he would allow such a thing or not. I would view that as a great test of character actually. I do not not expect much from these lowly mercenaries but honestly I am a little disapointed in Dyvalis. Much as his own father is as the rumors go. Personally after reviewing his file I assumed he had gotten the short end of the stick and he has a load of potential. That is why I hand selected him for this unit. If he is willing to submit to his punishment and then follow the initial order I issued then he is welcome to remain within second platoon. Otherwise I am afraid I will have to request his transfer and bring in what will likely amount to a less capable officer but one that can follow orders."

"As far as the goblin sir. I would prefer not to waste much further breath on such a moronic little creature. The imbecile should not be allowed around so many explosives by my estimation. His inability to make a simple construct displayed he has no business being in the 2nd sir. Anyone stupid enough to completely ignore an order from their superior when all they would have had to do is make a simple inquiry or two is beyond help in my opinion. If you were to order me to 'Work Wonders and Shit Cucumbers' you can rest assured I will find a way to make it so. I hope you can utilize him with one of the other platoons under your command. After reading all the personell files and reports from previous missions it is painfully obvious you have a good number of first rate fuckups around here. The members of the 2nd will not be among them as long as I am in command of it. That is why I was assigned here."

The Lieutenant settles back hands resting casually folded together. She seems supremely confident in herself as well as her actions thus far.

Zor nods his head as Portia delivers here speech.

“Lieutenant Lynn, a soldier is bound only follow a lawful order. While the order to build a gallows is a lawful order, the order to submit one for punishment is not. We are not the Coalition and therefore do not summarily execute troops for a minor infraction. I understand you want good order and discipline in your unit, and I applaud you for it. If you feel it is necessary to punish the members of your platoon you may do so in any method you wish, as long as they are fit for battle. If a crime such as murder or beating occurs then myself and the platoon commanders will convene to determine punishment.”

Once the matter of a lawful order an unlawful order is taken care of Zor goes on.

“Now if one disobeys orders in battle then that can be construed as an act of cowardice. If the coward manages to survive the battle the being will be dealt with accordingly.”

“In regards to Nilus, after he stated that he did not know how to build such a structure you should have either provided instructions to build a gallows, found one who could instruct Nilus and his men to build a gallows, or found a more competent being to carry out the task. I will deal with Nilus for his insubordination.”

“Lt. Lynn it would do well if your mind your manners when speaking to myself or a superior. I could care less how you speak to or run your platoon as long as all beings are fit to fight when the time comes. I am quite sure you can work around that, say for example have those that need discipline build a fighting position and once finished  have take down the fighting position, only to build it again. Hopefully they will learn from their mistakes and not make them again. Understood?”

"While involved in this situation, I would like to point out that the idea of the watermelon is a perfect example of the original order that caused all of this. The goblin... I mean Nilus... had not done anything I am aware of to come off as a moron at all. The order to construct a gallows was odd, and random - just like fetching a watermelon. I believe that is why it was ignored - not to mention he did not understand the order. He runs a team of demolition experts... I would imagine they are good at what they do. And Sgt. Razgriz - I believe you can put down the rope... we will not be needing it. Lieutenant Lynn, after this has drawn to a close - perhaps we should take a few moments to sort out our differences. We are going to be serving together - and I think it would be beneficial if we did not go on hating each other over this..."

Ramenhotep is not surprised to find the members of Firefly Squad aiming their weapons at the creature.

"Ordering my return? ugh... tell him if that bitch or one of her goons so much as looks at me or my crew funny I am going to blow her and them to bits."

"That sounds wonderful."  Ramenhotep responds, eyeing the weapons with more curiosity than fear.

He uses his radio once more.  "Karno, I have contacted Nilus and he will be returning shortly."  Then, looking back to Nilus, he continues.  "You can tell him yourself.  You and I will be seeing less of each other now as I will be remaining in 2nd Platoon.  I hope the rest of your term of service is a happy one.  If there is nothing else, then Good day sir."
With that, Ramenhotep will back up a few paces and then leap back into the air.  He wonders why the demolition team were so defensive upon his approach.  Perhaps this is not the first time they have deserted their post?  A previous occasion might have resulted in violence... Ramenhotep's speculation is pointless however and he returns to the rest of his platoon.

Re: C7 : (2nd Platoon)

"Understood Sir. Though I am sure the Coalition will gladly do the honors of taking them down for us." Portia replies respectfully then turns her attention away from Major Karno, who she anticipates will be leaving for more important matters, and back to her own platoon. "Yes Sergeant I agree with Second Lieutenant Dyvalis put the rope down. You will not be accepting the Lieutenants punishment for him. Not alone anyway. The entire platoon will bear the burden for his insubordination until the time he chooses to comply with the initial order I issued. For now you are all dismissed. Go and report to Mercenary Sergeant Silvermasque from the Third. He seems to be the only one doing anything constructive around here. Report to me before you bed down for the evening. That will be all.

The fiery petite woman turns her intimidating gaze from the group over to just Dyvalis. "You want to talk? Talk. After that I will talk and when we are finished talking we will understand one another. Seeing some of the members of the platoon not moving as quick as she would like she lets out a yell that is startlingly fierce for a person her size."You heard me MOVE YOUR ASSES!" Picking up her radio she calls out over the channel designated for all of Pluto Company.

"Mercenary Sergeant Silvermasque... I have some help headed your way. Please ensure that they are supplied with an inordinate supply of drudge work. If any of them give you any problems send them to me.

Re: C7 : (2nd Platoon)

Razgriz eyes the Platoon commander quite narrowly, he was technically a 'Good' Necromancer... but that didn't mean he thought intimidation was no longer a valid form of leadership. Especially with demons and other such creatures, he was quite glad at that moment his own Undead were for the most part quite literally Mindless Zombies.

Removing the noose and Saluting the superior officers, he heads off towards where he parked his hovercycle. Glaring at those still unmoved before heading off towards where they were commanded to go.

Looking over from where she awaits an answer from her second in command Portia interjects as everyone heads out. "Keeping my people alive is a priority in order to maintain an effective combat ready unit. Putting my men in a position where they can succeed is a direct reflection on my ability as a leader." Portia says coldly as if speaking to a child who should have realized the obviousness of that simple concept. Anyone with even an inkling of ability to read a persons motivations can tell however that the she places more importance on the "reflection of her" portion than the "keeping my people alive" part. "Worry about who you will be serving under later and get your sorry asses to work like you were ordered. All of you!" The last part she says looking over at Burd and Severin.

From the air, Ramenhotep can see his platoon moving away from Portia and Karno, although Lieutenant Dyvalis appears to be remaining behind.  Rather than overuse the radio, the sphinx swoops in and lands not far from his commanding officer.
"Lieutenant Portia,  I'm afraid I wasn't present for any orders you may have given the platoon.  Should I accompany them?"

Portia looks up from where she is standing and speaking with Dyvalis. She looks for an instant like she is going to yell angrily but instead says in a voice loud enough for the Sphinx to hear. "The others have gone to do drudge work. Join them if you like. I would prefer you work on the wards that will be needed in defense of this town. Perhaps meet with that Atlantean Magus who keeps blabbing on the radio. As long as you are doing something productive I do not care." She waves the Sphinx off with her tiny gloved hand and turns her attention back to the elf standing in front of her.
