Dyvalis turns his head slowly to face Lt. Lynn. Raising an eyebrow in surprise he hesitates before moving or responding further.

"Lieutenant Lynn... you are a detestable person, and have done nothing but waste everybody's time since you were assigned to this unit. I am relieving you of your command as of this moment under the charges of actions unbecoming of an officer, and conspiracy to committ murder. I am hereby placing you under arrest. You may use the noose on yourself..."

He then speaks over the radio

"Major Karno come in. We have a possible emergency in town square. Lt. Lynn has just been relieved of her command and I have placed her under arrest... I suspect this will require your assistance ASAP."

The massive Tauton saunters forward, his tail swishing a bit behind him, he moves for Dyvalis, "Excuse me...sir. But as far as my knowledge of your military goes, you do not have the rank, or right to perform that action. Lt. Lynn is the 1st Leiutenant, and you are not. I would advise against threatening her. That is also behavior inapproriate for an officer." The tail stops moving and the huge creature stands fully still, waiting for a response, or action.

Re: C7 : (2nd Platoon)

Ramenhotep stops scrawling in his notebook when Dyvalis decides to attempt a coup.  The disorder of the Tolkeen fighting force must surely be her greatest weakness.  Ramenhotep finds himself agreeing with Severin.  If Karno is only a radio call away, why would Dyvalis have the authority to arrest his superior?
But then Dyvalis calls Karno himself and it looks like he intends to make this mutiny somehow official.  The sphinx returns his gaze to his sketchbook for a moment before reciting a short lyric from memory...

"And so descend the demons of hell, consumed by sins of ignorance.  Blessed be Thy wisdom, for it shall bring us redemption..."

Re: C7 : (2nd Platoon)

Portia laughs, not too loudly or obnoxiously but with a small amount of genuine amusement. "I do not care who your daddy is you simpering fool. It would be in your best interest not to cross me. Since you have disobeyed two direct orders, both of which were given during a time of war, I could technically have you executed. Though it is highly unlikely I would get away with such an act... at least in regards to you. With the goblin I would have and there is certainly no conspiracy involved in that. While I doubt Severin is well versed in the revised Tolkeen Code of Military Justice he does have a valid point. You have overextended your authority. You are dissmissed Lieutenant.

The mirth having disappeared from her face as she spoke Portia once again lets a slight smile play across her thin red lips.

"Unless of course...lieutenant... you or anyone else would like to try and express your heartfelt sentiments in a more physical manner. Then we could get all of this over with very quickly I assure you."

Portia drops the noose into the dirt and awaits the arrival of Major Karno. While she doubts anything else other than whining protests will occur she does however stand prepared. She pointedly ignores Cannon Fodder and it is obvious she considers him beneath her notice despite the fact he towers over everyone.

Sigh  Ramenhotep exhales audibly as he lays down on the ground.  He flips back a few pages in his sketchbook and adds a short word to the line of text already printed there.  He looks up from his work and around at the platoon gathered here.  "I sincerely hope you know what you're doing..." The sphinx mutters aloud to no one in particular.

Stepping over to place the noose around his neck and turn towards the crowd as he waits patiently for what he knew was coming...

Curious to see how Dyvalis responds, more to the overtures of Razgriz at this point then what she said, Portia does not immediately say anything else. As the Adarok continues to speak out of turn she looks up at him once more and the look of contempt on her normally emotionless face is apparent. Casually lifting her radio up she sends her own message in a very calm and collected tone.

"Major Karno sir... with the exception of some unruly and disrespectful mercenaries and a small internal quibble there is little here that demands your immediate attention. Certainly nothing I cannot handle. If you are otherwise uncommitted however I am sure my men would be assuaged your presence.

Upon hearing that he is radioed not once but several times to solve a dispute Zor gets up from making his rough outline of where he wanted defensive positions set up within Mad Town. I suppose I will have to take care of this later.

Zor then makes his way to second platoons location, and is almost ran over by the Firefly Demolition Squad as they ride out of town. When he gets there he finds one of the sergeants assigned to second platoon standing around with a noose around his neck, and most everyone else assembled.Zor is wearing his suit of Fury beetle armor, and while has his mirror shield and Battle Fury Blade with him they are slung on his back.

“Lieutenants Lynn and Dyvalis what is going on here and why does this sergeant have noose around his neck?

“Furthermore why has the Firefly Demolition Squad left town, they drove past me and almost ran me over while on my way here?”

Dyvalis glares back at Portia. His lip trembles slightly, the cause is buried down while he returns the sorceress' stare. As the Major arrives he turns to salute him before the major speaks.

"Major Karno sir. Lieutenant Lynn ordered the leader of Firefly squad to place a noose around his neck for not constructing a gallows for the lieutenant even after asking what a gallows was... Nilus refused her order and left, along with his company. She then turned to me and ordered me to place the noose around my neck..."

The yound officer turns to look at her again with a face of disgust, making eye contact for a moment before staring at her boots... a drip of sweat runs down his foread, and drips from the end of his nose...

Major Karno returns Dyvalis salute, and listens to his side of the story, maintaining eye contact the entire time to let the Elf know Zor really is listening..

“I want a volunteer among those here who can fly to go find the Firefly Demolition Squad and tell Nilus that I would like to speak to him, assure him that he will no longer have to take orders from Lieutenant Lynn.”

Zor then asks Potia her side of the story.

“Lieutenant Lynn what is your side of the story?” in a slightly irritated voice and stares at her with his one good eye.

“Oh and explain to me why a gallows was to be constructed, and why you thought that of all units a demolition squad, who’s expertise is blowing stuff of up would know how to build a gallows. You should have asked if we had anybody here with engineering experience.”

OOC: I’ve only briefly read what has occurred in this thread and any decision Zor make will be based upon characters explanations. I just did this in a game I GM and it worked out rather interesting with a Cyber Snatcher being judged by a jury of his peers (The players) and subsequently was executed. Of course Zor isn’t the executing type.

"I'll fetch the goblin and his team."  Ramenhotep speaks aloud as he stands up and then launches himself into the air.  Flapping his wings a few times to gain altitude, he is quickly away in the direction of the demolition team.

"Nilus, this is Ramenhotep of Pluto Company, please stand by.  I have a message from Major Karno."  The sphinx attempts to call the goblin over the radio to avoid racing to catch up with them.

"I'm en route to your location.  It won't take more than a minute for me to reach you by air."  Ramenhotep responds to Nilus as he continues his flight.  It doesn't take long for his keen eyesight to pick out the dust trail left by the team's hovercycles and then to reach them.

Ramenhotep lands softly a distance away from Nilus and then walks up to him.  The sphinx bows his head slightly in greeting before explaining himself.

"Major Karno is ordering your return as he would like to speak with you.  He has stated that you will no longer be under the command of Lieutenant Portia Lynn upon your return to duty.  In my opinion, she is about to be disciplined."

   Ramenhotep awaits a response.

Re: C7 : (2nd Platoon)

Portia gives Major Karno a quick salute as well when he shows. "Good evening Sir. Sorry you were interrupted. There was certainly no need for it I assure you." Lynn looks over at Dyvalis and says, "The Second lieutenant has the jist of it correct actually. However he either remembers incorrectly or is exagerating about the orders I issued him. My exact words were in fact; 'Second Lieutenant Dyvalis submit yourself for corporal punishment. You can put the noose either around your neck or just your wrists if it would make everyone more comfortable.'

Portia pulls a small digital recorder from the folds in her robes.

I have it all right here on an audio recording actually that I intend to include with my report. Second Lieutenant Dyvalis rather than displaying a set of balls and submitting himself for just punishment after having disobeyed a direct order, with multiple documented reminders I might add, decided to try and change the subject by questionng my ability to command and overstepping his authority. The whole ordeal is rather silly really. The Sergeant here being a good Sergeant offered up himself to accept the punishment for the second Lieutenant. I was waiting to see if he would allow such a thing or not. I would view that as a great test of character actually. I do not not expect much from these lowly mercenaries but honestly I am a little disapointed in Dyvalis. Much as his own father is as the rumors go. Personally after reviewing his file I assumed he had gotten the short end of the stick and he has a load of potential. That is why I hand selected him for this unit. If he is willing to submit to his punishment and then follow the initial order I issued then he is welcome to remain within second platoon. Otherwise I am afraid I will have to request his transfer and bring in what will likely amount to a less capable officer but one that can follow orders."

"As far as the goblin sir. I would prefer not to waste much further breath on such a moronic little creature. The imbecile should not be allowed around so many explosives by my estimation. His inability to make a simple construct displayed he has no business being in the 2nd sir. Anyone stupid enough to completely ignore an order from their superior when all they would have had to do is make a simple inquiry or two is beyond help in my opinion. If you were to order me to 'Work Wonders and Shit Cucumbers' you can rest assured I will find a way to make it so. I hope you can utilize him with one of the other platoons under your command. After reading all the personell files and reports from previous missions it is painfully obvious you have a good number of first rate fuckups around here. The members of the 2nd will not be among them as long as I am in command of it. That is why I was assigned here."

The Lieutenant settles back hands resting casually folded together. She seems supremely confident in herself as well as her actions thus far.

Re: C7 : (2nd Platoon)

Zor nods his head as Portia delivers here speech.

“Lieutenant Lynn, a soldier is bound only follow a lawful order. While the order to build a gallows is a lawful order, the order to submit one for punishment is not. We are not the Coalition and therefore do not summarily execute troops for a minor infraction. I understand you want good order and discipline in your unit, and I applaud you for it. If you feel it is necessary to punish the members of your platoon you may do so in any method you wish, as long as they are fit for battle. If a crime such as murder or beating occurs then myself and the platoon commanders will convene to determine punishment.”

Once the matter of a lawful order an unlawful order is taken care of Zor goes on.

“Now if one disobeys orders in battle then that can be construed as an act of cowardice. If the coward manages to survive the battle the being will be dealt with accordingly.”

“In regards to Nilus, after he stated that he did not know how to build such a structure you should have either provided instructions to build a gallows, found one who could instruct Nilus and his men to build a gallows, or found a more competent being to carry out the task. I will deal with Nilus for his insubordination.”

“Last either I missed it or you didn’t state it but why was a gallows to be constructed? Did somebody commit a murder and I not informed of it?”

"Yes Sir of course. I understood all of that and fully intended to comply with the laws set forth by Tolkeens war council. I always have and will Sir. In regards to the goblin... well I suppose I could have told him to fetch me a hot pink watermelon. The outcome would be identical and is satisfactory to me all the same. I knew he was a moron and of course I could have told him to string a rope over a lamp post but that would have defeated the purpose. My secondary intent was to create something sufficient to bind Lieutenant Dyvalis to so that I may have him beaten. Besides it has a nice symbolic quality. Anyway I have that now and will be about utilizing it shortly."

Portia looks over at Razgriz.

"Unless of course Lieutenant Dyvalis is a coward and intends to let the Sergeant here bear the burden of his inability to follow a simple order. Either way will suffice. Oh and by the way sir if you would like a hot pink watermelon I can have one for you on the double."
