Re: Chapter Seven : Waiting

Jack smiled widely and stopped whispering but his voice didn't show any anger. "That is twice now you have insulted me. I have seen you show respect to other officers yet twice you have refused me the same. You fucking PEED on me. And now you look to your fucking little bitches behind you like they could do SHIT to me if I didn't WANT them to?? You are joke O-semen. The only reason I haven't killed you yet is because I haven't found the most humiliating way to do it yet."

The smile stays on his face as he leans in again and his voice still level and casual. "I gave you an ORDER, Demon. I suggest you follow it while I contemplate your manner of execution. Back down before something bad happens to you."

Re: Chapter Seven : Waiting

Reginald steps next to Osema, "'Scuse me boss," as he pushes his way in between Osema and Jack, "Name calling and threats? Really...an officer in Tolkeens grand army resorting to calling the mercs names and threatening us...Osema...you better watch out, this one is scary...way scarier than all the others. Reginald laughs hard, a horrid sight given the setup of his facial features.

Re: Chapter Seven : Waiting

Reggie smiles, "No mind games here human. Although I see you have shut yourself off from further private communications. I was simply stating the fact that he is not behaving like an officer... and I welcome your efforts, but I think you will find our throats harder to cut than you believe...are they always so aggressive?" the last more of a rhetorical question than anything else

The 12 foot broskil steps up to the plate and looks as though he is going to say something - but simply snarls instead. His dark mind is plotting something... or he is just stupid...

Re: Chapter Seven : Waiting

For the time remaining before setting out - there will plenty of time for all repairs to be finished - along with Magnet Man to make a full recovery.

The mages coul attend some of the free spell classes running all day.

The group leaves the next morning as per Major Karno.

It is currently 0730 hrs. You shold have 22 hours before setting out. DOn't forget about sleep - and a spell takes its' level in hours to ATTEMPT to learn. Spell learnign rules (I think) are in my house rules.

Avaliable spells:

armour of ithan
fly as the eagle
invisibility lesser
multiple images
carpet of adhesion
magic net
timeslip
aparition
shadow meld

Re: Chapter Seven : Waiting

With a mouth full of daggers like Osemas it is hard to say he is ever really smiling but he is doing his best impression of it currently. As  a further taunt he sticks his chin up and his throat out for a second in response to the throat slitting comment. After being told to back off he does take a step back and shrugs his shoulders. "You give me an order worth a shit and I will think about following it you Mystic-Knight cumsuck." The Brodkil turns his back to Jack and walks away towards where his crews hovercycles are parked.

Gendun walks with Osema.

Jack  doesn't stop smiling. "Any order an officer gives IS worth following if you want to get paid, meatbag." Looking at Reginald he shakes his head. "You aren't even worth it, but bring it on, shitstain."

Not looking at Lotus, he replied to her. "Yes. Do you care?"

A normally stoic appearance is only slightly marred as the squabbling seems to finally come to an end. It one were watching him, they would see what could only be construed as a smile crawl onto the Lizard Man's lips.

The commotion over he heads off to prepare for the confrontation to come in his own ways.

Reginald feigns confusion, "Bring what on? I didn't threaten you, only told your woman there to try and cut my throat when she was ready. Now if you have an issue with me because I am far better looking than you, well that's your problems sir."

Van stands back and watches the conflict. He addresses mainly Lotus, "If you're going to kill them I'd do it soon. After all your boyfriend managed to commit murder in the streets of Hillcrest without so much as a pay cut."

"Can I assume I have your permission then, Corporal sir?"  Lotus asks, making it clear that she would rather not take the blame for exterminating the creatures.  Its obvious that Lotus actually does care about being fired.

Zor is indisposed by the arrival of a messenger who delivers an additional set of orders.

“I want all Officers to convene with me, we have additional orders to carry out on our way to Mad Town.”

Re: Chapter Seven : Waiting

After Lotus asks his permission to kill the Brodkil, Van realizes maybe he does have some amount of power in his new position. Realizing that he kind of laughs. "Hey, I want no part of this. Ask one of the officers..."

It would take some time to get used to being taken seriously.

Lotus smirks when the young Corporal catches on to her query.  "Too bad Corporal.  I guess you're just not the take-charge kind of man."  Lotus looks over at Jack and her expression changes slightly, indicating she is probably communicating telepathically again.

Re: Chapter Seven : Waiting

Van grins back at Lotus and indicating her with his fingers as a gun adds, "And that's why you're so good at what you do..." After that Van leaves the conflict, not wanting to get egged into giving some kind of order, which he didn't really have the authority to do anyway, having not been given any specific leadership of anybody yet except his air squad of Iron Juggernauts, which, for a moment, he imagines he could order to kill the Brodkil (provided no higher ranking officer over-ruled the order), but then thinks better of it. Still though, it's nice to have some measure of power.

Re: Chapter Seven : Waiting

Once all the officers had convened around Zor he breaks the bad news, they would be escorting supplies whilst on the way to Mad Town...

“Tolkeen wants us escort nine supply trucks to Fort Comartin, so we will not be able to teleport or fly to Mad Town. I want fourth platoon to teleport there and act as an advance party.”

“When we move out in the morning I want 2nd Platoon in the lead, then 1st Platoon, then the nine trucks we will be escorting and have 3rd Platoon bringing up the rear. Platoons will rotate every 16 miles, with the lead platoon falling to the rear and the middle platoon taking point. We are being given a detachment of several air Juggernauts which will be providing air cover for us, I am assigning them to 3rd Platoon, under the command of Cpl Van. They will also assisting in the defense of Mad Town."

“Additionally I want scouts on the ground out in front and to the sides of the road, as well a rear guard for whichever platoon is last in the marching order.”

“Any questions or suggestions?”

OOC: While this is intended for the officers (Lt and above) the rest of the company will soon find out about the escort duty.

Standing with his arms crossed, yet listening intently to the new major, waiting until he is finished. Sorkhan is first to respond -

"I will track down the mayor and the law enforcement and schedule a meeting with us and them when we get there sir. I will also organize my men into patrol squads - and get an idea on the town surroundings.

After being dismissed he turns to the rest of 4th platoon and calls out :"4th Platoon! We are heading to the Teleporting Station!"

"Sounds good Captain, you are dismissed."

Sorkhan Shira:
"4th Platoon! We are heading to the Teleporting Station!"

Zor then looks to the other officers to see if any of them have anything further to say.

Re: Chapter Seven : Waiting

Air Squad Positions (based on the map in Shadow of Evil):

1 Iron Dragonfly 300ft above the foutain in the center of town (#17).
1 Warhawk patroling the north-western skies from the marina (#1) to the clock tower (#16). (200ft altitude)
1 Warhawk patroling the south-eastern skies, from the Lion's Den Arena (#39) to about 50 yards outside the town. (200ft altitude)
1 Wing-Blade stationed 200ft up, near the Junk Yard (#46).
1 Wing-Blade stationed 200ft up, near the Animal Market (#24).
1 Wing-Blade stationed 200ft up, near Boone's Farm (#11).

Other than the Iron Dragonfly in the middle of town, all the Juggernauts are quiet and unimposing. The Dragonfly's engines however send a rumble through the air, announcing its presence.

[EDIT -- Mixed up east and west...]
