Re: OOC II

Actually, I was less fussed about what my guns were doing and more fussed about the attempts to organise our resistance. Like I said in my PM's, 'Masque shouldn't even be firing his guns if he's in charge - he should be being in charge instead, which is why I've thrown half my attention at it, quarter at keeping my head down and only with the slight remainder of my copious free time actually bothered shooting at the Bad People. ^_^

Moloch:
HQ Platoon is hiding in a closet, and allowing the 17 year old girl make the last stand.

1st platoon has recruited a 3 day old child and gave him weapons to fight with them.

2nd platoon has been kicking ass.

4th platoon also has been kicking ass.

alright, we're kicken ass guys
17 year old girls are pretty tough...

btw, you didn't mention it so I figure it probubly didn't happen but I wanted to ask, did the antimagic burst give any interfearence to Psychic types?

Re: OOC II

The only interference psychics had was a slightly more potent distraction than non-powered individuals. Nothing more, and even the mages can still cast magic. The shockwave was a one time off-switch.

I just have this image of a big glass case filled with slices from the brains of a whole bunch of psi-nullifiers wired up to a large generator with a big red switch on the casing.

 Nifty. ^_^

Re: OOC II

Not sure if you guys like to listen to certain kinds of music when you read/post in these games. But I found an album that suits the atmosphere of Rifts almost perfectly for me. The new Nine Inch Nails "Ghosts" album has no lyrics, just instrumental industrial music.

Re: OOC II

So far the bloodiest building in Madtown has been # 34 The Gun Nest.

Since Pluto Company arrived, there have been a steady string of deaths in this now destroyed building.

The spy that sabotauged the radar when the bomber attacked a while back hid in the Gun Nest and met up with a second gunman. One of them, Dekker was caught, but the other was killed. Gendun one of the brodkil was killed in an explosion on its' door step.

Shortly after Lord Osema and his crew were holding out when they got in a fight with Lotus. Klowkuh, the other brodkil was killed in this fight.

Now three Coalition soldiers were hiding in it when they were carpeted in grenades. Followed by Ludo, Ikuk and Jomo getting killed when inspecting the ruins.

Gun Nest death toll since Pluto arrived : 9

Church : 1

Theater : 6

Re: OOC II

GM apologies for Madtown. Perhaps the most confusing battle ever. In an effort to make this game as cool as it once was, I have found a suitable route to end the current battle, and downsize the game.

Stay tuned for Chapter Nine, and the return of the best Rifts game on Rpol :)

Re: OOC II

Feel free to post in the threads. Tomorrow or Saturday will see a new meeting at Tolkeen, and the new assignments.

My revisioning will have everybody in one platoon, split into squads. Moving indepentantly from the rest of the company returning to the feel the game had in the beginning, before it inflated. It will be much smaller battles than thousands of lives clashing in epic town battles...  trust in the GM.

I considered playing out the battle in all its confusion and odd-pacing... but I feel it wiser to cut my losses short and just fix it. It may have taken another few months...

feel free to harass me if you want... but I suspect afewplayers willhave more fun being useful... such as Na-Wa or Amy...

Re: OOC II

combat like this is kind of impossible to keep straight, due to the volume of it.
But should we post in character since we are doing a sort of wrapup?

Re: OOC II

As a GM for over two years here on rpol (I run four games, all using the PB system, if you want to look p my games my GM name is jedi078), there are still things that surprize me or I find is too much for me to handle.

So yeah I have no problem with the way the mad town battle turned out. I spent 6+ months with my players in maybe a 45-60 minute mission.
