The entire craft comes to a sudden halt, and the field dents the hull in several feet. The craft then begins to free fall.

Van and the 3 juggernauts from 1st platoon take to the skies to engage the transport as it freefalls, meeting up with Calliandra in the air, and then joined by the juggernauts from 2nd platoon. They relentlessly assault the craft, while Van tries to move in close.

The transport door opens under the craft and dozens upon dozens of SAMAS armours pour out into the sky above Van and his squad. Swarms of the varied SAMAS models burst from the falling transport like hornets from a disturbed nest and immediately attack the small Tolkeen air force. They spread out above the town in squadrons of 8-12 and open fire on available targets in Madtown. At least a hundred made it out before the transport crashes upside down on the damaged radar/clock tower.

Attila and Khan are under fire within seconds. A squadron of 12 made up of 4 Heavy SAMs, 6 Death's Heads, and 2 Light SAMs light up the two juggernauts with missiles, and grenades as they pass over the theater.

Fourth platoon falls under attack from a squadron of twelve, before the glitter boys are marked, and six make their way for second platoon.

Another two squadrons of eight make their way for the theater. Waiting for targets to show themselves, they find many when the Salvation militia open fire. The militia are then hit by a storm of missiles and grenades, along with rapid rail gun fire. They are completely outmatched with the members of HQ platoon inside the theater.

Attila and Khan are in heavy combat with several SAMs in the air, they are both holding up so far, but are taking heavy damage.

"Alright platoon! do what you can to bring those SAMs down. Don't ask, just do it!" Zor moves to an area where he can see some of the SAMs in the air above the theater.

Khan collapses to the ground in pieces, Aristotles' brains are splattered all over Dyvalis' face, and Calliandra lands to rejoin her platoon. HQ Platoon currently only consists of Karno, Dyvalis and his clone, Attila, Ramenhotep and now Calliandra.

The SAMAS squadrons come around for antoher pass.

Attila is soon reduced to piles of melting metal as well, and the SAMs move on to find other targets. The remaining members of HQ platoon are gathered in the theater when the SAMAS leave. Ramenhotep is the first to step outside and is fired upon instantly by CS units among the ruins of residential homes across the river. The sphinx is okay and jumps back inside for cover.

Once back on the ground, Callie did everything she could to ensure that as much information was still being broadcast as possible.  Even if she wasn't going to be able to account for many of the CS SAMs, she'd make sure that everyone else could.

"I'm glad you slept well throughout the storm," Dyvalis says with a modicum of hostility when the Major awakens. After briefing him on the events they wait for the rest of the assault to unfold from the safety of the ticket office.

When word comes in about the teams converging on the theatre Dyvalis wastes no time in activating his magic armor. He sets one the alarms on his watch for 24 minutes. He turns to the Major. "The teams are coming, and they're probably coming for you specifically. Do we stay or do we fall back? If we change location we will need to do so discreetly. Alternately, if we stay here, I can conceal us completely inside a dimensional envelope. We will not be able to receive transmissions from this dimension though, but we can step in and out of this world. It will last for 15 hours. Your call, but make it fast."

Though her head shake was concealed by the power armor, Callie's words carried her intent well enough.  "Sir," the external speakers were set to as low as possible considering the chaos infesting the town, "I'm the only radar we have right now.  If you feel it's best to take everyone into a dimensional pocket, I should still stay outside to make sure nothing else is incoming, and to warn everyone if it is."  Though she was young, her voice betrayed no hint of fear, "Besides, Van said he made me invisible.  I can't tell myself, but if he's right, that should be enough for me as long as I don't bring too much attention to myself."

"Valiant of you O'Hare," he says hastily with a touch of sarcasm. "Daemonis, create the envelope for yourself and the Major. Do not emerge until it is safe. And O'Hare, don't sneak up on me like that again. I assure you, you are quite invisible."

While Daemonis casts his spell Dyvalis prepares himself for the chaos soon to come. "This place is going to be rubble soon enough, the only remaining structure this dimensional closet. Ramenhotep, you need to find a way to conceal yourself or get to Lord Renford's manor. We won't last against the coming squad, and I for one will not remain here." He sets another alarm on his watch. Though it isn't made of any valuable materials, the functions alone must've cost him a bit.

OOC -- The envelope is 10x10x6ft. If Ramenhotep will fit, then he's welcome to use that. I just don't know how large Sphinxes are.

Daemonis draws the outline of a door in the air while chanting an incantation. He doesn't argue with the order to stay safely hidden. Once complete, he leads the Major inside. Just before getting inside himself, he cautiously grabs Aristotle's largest rifle. Then he slips inside (with or without Ramenhotep; size depending).

Inside the envelope it is very plain, with very little to pass the time but conversation.

The sphinx is 5'4, and just under ten feet long. "I apologise now, it may get stuffy in here..." He then follows the others into the envelope, crowding Daemonis and Karno.

Callie rolled her eyes inside her armor, though she refrained from giving any smart comebacks to a superior officer.  She watched to see that those present were safely inside their protection, then launched herself back into the sky.  Though chaotic, she was still less likely to be blundered into up there than down on the ground.

"Callie, keep that radar running. Try and support the air squad. You're on your own." With everyone accounted for Dyvalis makes his own escape. He side steps and seems to vanish.

A dozen troops storm into the theater, opening doors with weapon fire. They stay inside no more than 12 seconds. Upon finding it empty, one soldier remains behind to activate a large explosive, before jogging out to join his team.

The troops progress to the north.

Karno, Daemonis and Ramenhotep re-enter the battle field now that the threat has moved north. They stand alone on the ruins of the theater.

Karno, Ramenhotep and Daemonis make their way to 1st Platoon. Dyvalis engages the CS in combat to assist the Madtown Militia for now.
