Carver takes a few steps towards the entrance of the radar tower.  With his armour far too large to fit inside, he just waits like a sentry, continually scanning the nearby buildings.  <darkgreen>"Keep alert, Arc.  It shouldn't be long now..."</dargreen>

   Carver takes a stance that would allow him to jump or run in any direction with a moment's notice.  He waits.

Upon hearing imminent contact over the radio Zor asks for more information.

"Direction and number of enemy units might help."

Zor knowing full well that the radio may be compromised issues orders in two languages, in the hope that any eavesdroppers would have a hard time understanding two languages at once. Of course his people would have to do the same but there were native speakers of both tongues among the ranks of Pluto company.

"Second platoon send up your flyer attachment and any others that can fly to intercept he incoming, I want an estimate of size on the enemy force before you engage. All others that can fly I want in the air over your sectors."

OOC: green is in Atlantean, purple is in Dragonese/Elf.

Callie's face screws up as she tries to decipher the Major's last statement.  It sounded like an order, based on the tone he used, but she only caught about half the words.  "Sir, I'm sorry, I only caught a bit of that.  What do you mean about the air?"

As she asks that, part of her brain also turns to the radar unit, reaching out as she has always been able to do.  Radar computer, identify the incoming object.  Her thoughts threaded through the incoming data and the computer's database, trying to find a match for the sensor signature.

Zor responds to Callie, this time shouting in english, but does not broadcast over the radio.

"Keep doing what your doing with the radar private."

OOC: Callie, I think your in the clock tower, where as I am outside and at the bottom.

OOC - The clock tower is a clock tower with a radar in it. The radar control is in the bottom of the tower. Callie is inside with the psychic "Farsight" and the dead body. The sheriff and his men are outside with Carver, the major and Callie's PA.

"Major, this radar has been damaged," Callie says, walking out of the control room towards her power armor, "I'll see what's inbound as soon as I can get my SAMAS powered up."

At the young woman's touch, the suit of armor opens for her and she begins to secure herself inside and start the warmup process.  "My suit's got a 100 mile range, not quite what the tower could have given us, but it's a heck of a lot better than anything else functional around here that I know of."

   "My suit maxes out at 10 miles."  Carver chimes in as Calliandra comes outside and he gets his first look at her.  "Damn CS equipment, eh?"
   If Calliandra needs any assistance getting into her power armour, he'll offer it.  Sometimes the large suits can be cumbersome until they are powered up.

   Ramenhotep landed on the steeple of the clocktower which housed the radar.  His claws scraped the stone structure in order to give himself some leverage as he got ready to work some of his magic.  The sphinx hasn't had time yet to get his main plans complete, but this is something that should only take a couple of minutes.  Ramenhotep begins painting on the roof of the clock tower - some intricate pattern too small to see from the ground.

   OOC - He's laying down a simple Mystic Energy Drain - Power - Fire - Area Effect.  As previously discussed, "mystic energy drain - fire" should have the effect of reducing the damage from explosives by 50%.  The "Power" ward is meant to double the damage, range, duration, and effects of any ward it is attached to.  So I would interpret that to mean all explosions within the radius of effect for this ward phrase will only inflict 25% of their normal damage.  The four wards in this phrase require thirty seconds each to produce for a total of two minutes.  The radius of effect is 100 ft around the ward in a spherical shape.

"Thanks." Callie responds to Carver's assistance, "Usually it's only 'damn CS equipment' when the other side is using it." she says with a smile before closing the SAMAS armor.

"Shit, shitshitshit, missiles incoming sir." Callie exclaims as her suit shows her what's inbound.  "Major Karno, do you want me to try to scramble the missiles?  If so, I'll need to get closer to them." She asks not out of indecision, simply wanting official word before endangering valuable resources.

Hearing that missiles were incoming Zor had wished he'd asked for a metropolis spell scroll before leaving Tolkeen....




"Go Private." Zor knew that if Callie failed she may indivertibly become the target of the incoming missile and be killed, but that was the price of command....

"Everyone else seek shelter or if your able to attempt to shoot down any missiles Callie is unable to jam."

With the Major's agreement, Callie launches herself into the air, tearing towards the missiles on an intercept course.  As she flies to meet the missiles she keys her suit to beam targeting information to as many of the defenders as can receive the transmission.

Mjr. Karno is by the clock tower at the base - dealing with the murder. Along with Lt. Dyvalis.

Lieutenant Dyvalis runs as fast as his legs will take him to rejoin with the rest of HQ platoon.

Hearing that missiles are incoming and not really having any orders other than cleaning piss and playing personal assisstant Osema decides to play it smart and duck and cover. He remembered someone mentioning the church was a fortified structure with underground bunker. Turning to the priest and parishoners whom he just threatened with death and sodomy he grins. "We changed our mind Padre. We are considering religious conversion. We will be in the basement praying. C'mon fellas!" Osema kicks the door he just pissed on sending it flying inwards as he marches into the church his crew of two in tow. He shudders slightly as he enters the "holy" building. Though not a true demon he is certainly evil enough to balk in the presence of righteousness. Though that doesnt stop him from searching out the sublevels. Looking at the huddled townspeople gathered and praying he cannot help but jibe though. "Ah look at all the sexually repressed little hypocrites who molest and abuse their own children then get together every week to celebrate how sanctimonius they are. I fit right in this motherfucker!"

"Carver! get back to the others and get them into cover. Have Renford, or Bartaine gather anybody with long range weapons or missiles and have them prepare to defend their area from missiles. You will be in charge of the long range fighters Carver - now go."

"Farsight - stay with what you are doing here. I want to know who killed this man ASAP. Everybody else get inside the clock tower for cover."

The sheriff makes sure his team of deputies are safely inside the tower before he himself enters.

Walking silently behind Osema Reggie can't help but chuckle at his 'leader' and his antics, "Boss, we best hurry... this may actually be a good hiding spot... demons in a fucking church, who'd ever think that?"

Gendun stops suddenly and snarls at Reginald. "YOU are no demon Reggie..."

Reginald smiles at Gendun, "Gendun my friend, I am well aware of my racial standing. Did you know that you in fact aren't a true demon?"

"I know I could rip you in half..."

Reginald sighs, "After the battles we must face you can try old boy. I promise I am not as frail as I may seem though. Just keep focused on all of us getting out of here alive for now."

Banshee finally returns to rejoin her squad of Techno Wizards in the air. She first swoops down over Captain Shira and Major Karno at the base of the clock tower and shouts to him as she passes by.

"Lotus would not come back with me Captain! She refused..."

Osema chuckles at Gendun and Reginald trading barbs but there is little mirth in his laugh. Taking note of the townspeople that have gathered in the church to pray for salvation rather than take their destiny into their own hands he has to resist the urge to slaughter the sheep where they kneel. Instead he stomps up to the altar and leaps up on top of it. Taking a funny pose, that looks alot like those Elvis Presley favored, he adresses the crowd. "People I only have one thing to say! It's better to burn out than fade away! Believe that fuckers!" Having finished his sermon the subdemon exposes himself to the faithful as he is wont to do and then leaps down to go find the basement before the missiles hit.

A massive missile is headed directly for the area First Platoon is spread out in. It is only a matter of seconds. A second volley of medium missiles and a second long range missiles are on their way as well, with Calliandra and second platoons' Iron Juggernauts between the town and the missiles.

Several stray missiles from the first wave have lost their targets but may still hit somewhere in the town.
