Slowing to a stop as Van's steady voice crept back to the group, Sharp rose up in his seat slightly and pointed at Mac's body with one of the vibro sabres on the back of his left arm.  Looking back at Van through his mask with narrowed eyes, he spoke up.

"You want a big gun, Kid?  Grab one of Mac's, it's not like he's going to need 'em anymore, and we've got marching orders, so there's no time for window shopping."grabbing a pouch attached to the back of his belt, he tossed what was left of his earnings towards Van, a few credit chips spilling out on the dirt "Now either take it and get back in line, or walk.  Like Fuzzy said, this isn't the time or place."

   Lotus found herself nodding along with much of what Tecumseh had to say.  She thought about a comparison between the cyberknights code of behaviour and that of her own order and wondered if they might be more similar than the cyberknights would ever admit.  She takes a deep breath and puts her helmet on and revs her hoverbike.
   "So, what's the count at now, 5 to 2 to keep Arven around?"  Lotus asks the question calmly as if she has relaxed herself a bit.

 The big Tiger nods, looking about the group... "Seems to be that way, and truth be told would be better for him to shoot up enemy than more of own side... but Sharp make good point, we need to be moving and moving fast, or enemy will stomp on warlocks, youbet... Have already wasted too much time on foolishness."

 There's a slightly echoing sigh, and the Tiger tilts his plasma ejector to the side to check the L-clip power reading before idly thumbing the self-test to make sure all is still in working order - just like it was about ten minutes ago when he last did it.

 And then back to business...

 "Sir... you want maybe my squad to run point? - with Juicer, Crazy and me we should be able to handle recon for rest of team..."

Xion stops briefly at the suggestion, "Yes, that sounds like an excellent idea Masque, check in every 15 minutes or so, unless of course something happens then let us know ASAP." Xion gives somewhat of a salute, "Now, let's move people."

Okom nods and sketches a salute before climbing on to his hovercycle.

Mithas will fall inline as part of the (second?) group along with Xion, etc.  He is keeping to himself and seems to be preoccupied.

 Masque throws off a salute at Xion before heading back on over to his team buddies, giving them a quick look-over to determine what means of transport and travel each is equipped with above and beyond the good old fashioned 'shanks pony' (which is to say their feet).

 "We are on point patrol... if you think you do not wish to do this thing, speak up because we will be at least mile or so ahead of team, maybe more - have to be to run cover for APC's... You both think you can keep up and keep eyes open?"

 Ohhh, and of course after a statement like that he has to grin at the Hyperion...

 "But no foot races... "

"Heck, with my senses, it'd be a waste for me not to play front runner." Sharp said, patting the top of his hovercycle, glad he'd managed to find a model with sound dampeners. "Just need to know if you want us to spread out for better coverage, or stay grouped up for security."

That ain't a bad idea kid Mac had a lot of stuff. Something tells me your scrawny ass can't handle that big railgun of his so i'll hold on to that for ya. Arven will callously pry the railgun from Macs dead hands and grab up any additional ammo he had for it. The rahu-man will then mount up on his ostrosaurus and ride up next to Xion. You wanna talk boss we best talk on the way I s'pose. Spurring his mount Arven heads off in the general direction that the scout team set out in.

Saila walks towards Van, with her hands on her jacket pockets. She stands in front of him and stares at him for a few seconds.

After Van smiles, she says "If you go I go. But I think we should stay. If we leave now, we may regret it for the rest of our lives. When we get back from this one, we should maybe ask Tolkeen for a raise, or free equipment... We can watch each others' backs... cool?"

Sarah waits to see if any of her squad is getting inside the ATV.

She then follows Arthur, to wherever her squad will fall in for the journey.

Van still has anger in his eyes. After a moment he will say coldly to Saila: "One mission, and if this shit continues I'm gone..."

Reluctantly he adjusts his gear and goes back toward the group, stopping by Mac's dead body and taking his credit stick as if he were looting some fallen bandit. He rejoins his squad, getting up into Sarah's ATV. For the majority of the trip he shall busy himself with some project and will offer nothing in the way of small talk.

Out of the blue, DeadBolt speaks up (same guy new name)...

"You know, why dont we jsut go buy some parts, a clock and perhaps a nuclear war head and take it into the city and BOOM, were done and than we get paid"

"Yes, I know some innocents would die but, look at it this way if we dont kil them they are just casualties of war"

"I mean, its really easy to create a great big bomb, all we need is a few items, some Fusion block and wala, bing, bang, bam, done"..

Than to know one in paticiular.. "Man, I need a chainsaw"..

Glacing over his shoulder at Deadbolt, Red blinked a few times.  Sighing and rolling his eyes, he turned forward again and slumped slightly in his seat.  The Juicer hadn't said hardly a word since Sharp had met him, and this was the way he chose to introduce his sterling intelligence.  Suddenly, calling the Squad the "Misfits" was seeming fairly apt.

"Brilliant plan there, Blake.  A big bomb will easily wipe out the Coalition.  Shame there's a few states worth of soldiers in very sturdy tech standing between you and Chi-Town.  Then there's the fact that most MD structures can take a hit from a nuclear warhead and remain largely intact.  Then there's the sheer size of the place, even if you could sneak a small commando squad through a dozen levels of security just to make it through the city gates, any bomb smaller than a building it going to, at best, clean out only a single level of a tiered superstructure.  You may as well forget getting a bomb that big up to the higher levels where the people who're worth assassinating live."

Shaking his head slightly, Sharp concentrated on the road ahead, squaring his jaw.

"Step at a time, Blake, step at a time.  We have to repel the invaders at our door before we can look into exacting bloody retribution.  Otherwise, even if your strategy succeeded, it would only spur the remaining military command to fall down on us in a violent maelstrom of powerarmor, tanks, and soldiers.  So, for the time being, let's leave the overarching strategy of the war to the big wigs in Tolkeen, and do the job we were hired for to the best of our ability, alright?"

 "Because maybe the world has had enough of atomics, yes? - we know what happens when people shoot big nuclear missiles at one another. When you have stood at the lip of the crater that was once Moscow and realised you cannot see the far side, and that if you fall you will have to draw breath to scream many times before you impact... Then you might have different idea about really big explosion."

 Muses the Tiger, rubbing his chin thoughtfully... Before turning his mind back to the task at hand...

 "As for deployment - we are not here to be safe... recon is fancy word for being shot so friends know where enemy is... We take position maybe mile or two in front of team, me in centre... Sharp sixty yards or so left, Boom-boom hundred yards or so right - we close up to thirty or so if terrain get close... every five minutes, burst transmit status - every fifteen we burst-transmit back to team... and if you get killed, for heavens sake shoot something loud first, da?"

 Nice... a realistic view of taking point...

Deadbolt looks down at the ground, and kicks the dirt at his feat.
He grabs a candy bar out of his pack and begins to naw down on it, he also takes out a cigar and a drink and begins to drink, smoke and eat.

"Well that is true, a nuke does  SCD damage how bout this..We could get a borg any borg they have power condutors and stuff in them.  We load it with Funsion blocks send it in and I sniper the fusion core on it, wouldnt that work....

OOC-this only works if we now about phase world.

"We could buy something from Phaseworld like a spaceship or something real powerful and than just fly in and blast them".


It seems that Deadbolt isnt one for tatics of any nature unless is charge in balls to the wall....


"Or, we enlist an Army of Juicer like my self, Give us all chainsaws and lets us charge the front lines".

Bane seems to get visbale excited, he is almost frothing at the mouth his eyes red and sharp.. his voice raises..
"Yes, a grounp of 1000;s of juicers, we can charge the front lines,,

Than he looks around..

"We could Clone me, 1000 times than we would have enough to do that right"??

 Masque pauses for a moment, folding his lower arms before remarking conversationally to Sharp...

 "So please to be letting me get this very clear... is /Juicer/ who augments body, which then burns out and /Crazy/ who augments mind, which then goes koo-koo... not other way around, da?"

 Allll the while watching Bolt with a dry sort of expression (insofarasmuch as it can be read) on his features...

 But of course, this is as they're heading out to do Recon... yes...

Deadbolt looks up the the big cat..



"Yes, Crazy's eventaully go insane and I will eventually go up in a giant fireball....he pauses for a second..but, hey, were all gonna die and I am super awesome for the moment..I heard that it is better to burn out than fade away anyways.
And, Since Im not immortal I have to find a way for my name to live on forever what better why than to let me lead the charge of 1000's of me with chainsaws onto the front lines".
"I know we could take them"..

 The big cat scratches his head for a moment or two... and rapidly re-thinks, putting a little more responsability on the shoulders of the nominally Crazy... Since it seems /someone/ will need to keep an eye on the Juicer, adn it makes more sense to keep the two /fractionally/ more 'fragile' types together as they move onwards.

 "Change of plan... skirmish line with you two together, fifty yards right of me... do not shoot unless have clear target /and/ permission to fire from Xion or myself or under clear and deadly fire already... no adventures, we are here for purpose, da..."

 But as he moves away, it's just about possible to hear him murmuring to himself...

 "My candle burns at both its ends, it shall not last the night - But ah my foes and oh my friends, it gives a lovely light..."

 Before shaking himself as though drying out after a rainfall... Hoping no doubt, as he opens up the pace a little and starts to bound ahead in fifteen-twenty foot, distance eating strides, a leisurely sort of lope he can keep up quite literally forever (or at least for fifteen years or so) until his squad is out ahead of the convoy by the recommended distance.

   Lotus slowly maneuvers her hoverbike next to Okom and Saila while she watches and listens to the interchange between Deadbolt and Silvermasque.  "Aren't you guys glad you're not on that squad?"  It is obvious that she's commenting mostly on the juicer's apparently skewed sense of reality.  She'll move out with her squad within the rest of the platoon as we get underway.

Arthur will move to the right hand side of the ATV (Assuming both of his teammates are inside it) and scan his radar for any hostile blips.  "I don't think i've ever heard of anything so ridiculous.  Nuke em? Snipe at a fusion power supply?  1000 juicer?! Chainsaw?! Are you fucking insane?.. Wait, don't answer. It's probably best that I don't actually know.  Sarah, does your atv have any weapons?"

Okom chuckles quietly "Yep.  Excitable fellows, aren't they, those juicers?"

Sarah replies over her radio to Arthur "No weapons of any kind. This is just a transport.... support vehicle"

Maddox begins speaking "Xion, second and sixth platoons are heading out there too. Second will be ten miles north, sixth will be ten miles south of your position. They are just heading out now, and should be following along at your pace. They will not be assisting you in your mission. They are there for supposrt and other. Do you copy?"

Sitting on his hovercycle, Xion takes his radio, "Copy that command. We are heading out now. Any last minute changes I need to be aware of?" Xion will wait, and assuming their are none he leads his sqaud out into the wilds. Once they travel a bit outside the city he will pull beside Arven, and speak as quietly as possible to him.


The look on Xion's face is a hopeful expression that he has handled the Rahu-Man properly.
