It isn't long before the rumble of another jet on its approach can be heard at the ley line.  Lotus, flying in at full speed, soon appears a few meters above the ground on her hovercycle.  She spots and then lands not too far from Mephisto, raising a cloud of dust and debris in the process.  Once on the ground she dismounts and walks over to the meditating mage.
   "Ahem!"

Karnon glanced up at the Mystic Knight, but turned away again to get back to etching a summoning circle in an area he has meticulously cleared for that purpose. Already some completed scrolls have been laid aside. He appears to be creating them as fast as the ley line restores his energies, and using the time in between to etch the summoning circle.

Mephisto looks up at Lotus, and stands to his feet. He smiles and puts his hand on Lotus' lower back in an attempt to guide her along with him as he walks a short distance away from the other mages.

They can be seen talking to each other out of range for Photios, Karnon and Kamada to hear.

   Lotus allows herself to be led by the hand of Mephisto, turning to face him when they are sufficiently far away from the others.  She removes her helmet to speak.

   Lotus raises a hand as if to slow Mephisto down as she continues speaking...
   After another few sentences, Lotus is ready to leave.  She takes a step back from Mephisto before smiling and turning to walk back to her hovercycle.  Once aboard, she'll power it up and zip back into Madtown.

Having previously cast a sustaining spell, Karnon is able to continue his work well into the night. The summoning circle was used and with the aid of a loaded energy sphere spell he finally summoned up a ball of energy that lanced into the ground and formed itself into a gigantic earth elemental that hovered partially underneath the surface of the ground.

With the aid of the earth elementals energies, he was able to get his work done twice as fast.

The Earth Elemental stands tall taking in its' new surropundings, and looking over the mages at its' feet to see which of them is its' new master.

After spotting the Wolfen Karnon looking back up at him, the elemental nods to him.

Kamada looks over at Karnon to see if he heard the Lieutenant over the radio, then replies to Portia

"This is Kamada. 10-4 on that Lieutenant, Karnon heard everything you said."

She then speaks to Karnon, keeping one eye on the massive elemental next to them.

"Are we heading back to town?"

Lotus makes her trip back after the brief conversation with Mephisto. The Shifter has spent most of the night preparing talismans, but allowed for the time and energy to summon a familiar entity into the ranks of Pluto Company once again.

The air crackles and sparks in front of Mephisto. The ley line bends slightly towards the opening portal. From a bubble that appears to be ionized air, the Deevil known as To'Ra'on appears on his hands and knees.

To'Ra'on was last summoned in the town of Izmit where Dead Bolt and Saila lost their lives. He fought bravely and mercilessly under Mephisto's direction, and was allowed to return to his home dimension after the battle was won.

Unfortunately for him, Mephisto enjoyed using his services enough to call on him again... and To'Ra'on again... has no choice in the matter...

He stands to his feet and says nothing to mephisto as he recognizes the summoner. He just stares down at the man.

Karnon blinked, as a flash of energy lashed over a piece of paper, inscribing words of power. He'd had time to construct another summoning circle, in betwixt the almost half-mad pile of scrolls and talismans he'd created.

"Yes. Allow me to finish one more summoning, and I shall be done." The wolf-shifter went over to the elemental and said something, and laid his hand on it. After a moment he summoned up another energy sphere spell, loaded with magics, and then said something else to the elemental.

Then he activated the circle, and a quicksand vortex inside it swirled for a moment before out leapt another large ball of energy that was an elemental in its natural shape. It lanced down into the rockface, which itself shifted and moved up until it stood beside its brother.

Not expressly trying to distance himself, Photios does little other then scribe scrolls and whittle wood. Carving out small shapes and animals with loops attached to be used as Talisman or Amulets once given the benefit of an Ironwood incantation.

If talked to he will respond, but given the situation and the oddly small number of mages from the platoon working here he can do little but work. At least until he remembers something which he relates to Kamada, and Mephisto specifically. Clearing his throat and approaching during one of the break required to recharge, "I noticed I am not the only one capable of creating an energy sphere. I can create one to last about 5 days, I assume you can do the same?"

A slim shrug, "I shall get to my point, the Coalition should probably be arriving within that week's time considering the advanced scouts. As such, we should pool our resources to create an energy sphere for each of us. It shouldn't take more then a few hours for us to make three or four of them and will greatly increase our survivability."

Lieutenant Solinari from 3rd platoon is seen approaching alongside Sergeant Jegathees and Sergeant Dresteran also from 3rd platoon. Solinari's Iron Golem follows behind them.

Catpain Shira arrives soon behind them.

"If you can cast one, do so. I will not. They make us visible targets." Karnon replied, as he gathered up his work and placed it within a bag at his pouch, warped by temporal magics to hold a lot more than it appeared to hold.

He turned and opened a scroll that he had left out, and read off of it. As he did, he and the elementals flashed into bright light and then vanished.

"Ahh, not a very helpful individual is he..."

Noticing the others approaching he waves them over and repeats his previous question and then continuing, "I would greatly appreciate the assistance if we were to pool our resources in such a way. If you feel like Karnon does and do not wish to be made a target by the existence of the Sphere, it would be highly useful if you were to at least contribute your energies. Each sphere we create will only require an hour or two of rest and give anyone with one the combined energies of us all. That is a sacrifice I am willing to make, how many others of you will join me?"

Mephisto walks over to Photios, the Deevil To'Ra'on following behind him.

"I am interested to know how these energy spheres work. They store our energy and float along with us?"

Photios nods, "They require a pretty high amount of energy to craft, but upon creation can be used with a nearly infinite storage level. Of course this energy can only be invested upon its creation, and it will dissipate with time. In my case it lasts nearly a week, and grows with experience. If we were all to contribute to the creation of Energy Spheres we could have with us the energy potential energy reserves of each of us combined, in addition to our normal reserves."

He looks up towards the sun, "I don't know how many days we have, but scouting parties don't usually come more then a few days in advance. It should only take about two hours per sphere we wish to craft. I feel it would be a better investment for us then a single scroll or two in similar time."

He grins when he responds. "Sounds intriguing. I am almost done here at the ley line... does it take long?"

"Everyone stop what you are doing. If this demon makes his way this far north we are taking them out..."

"Demon... you mean that fool, Osema? He is simply wasting our time, I would rather prepare for the Coalition then be bothered with that imbecile. We haven't been ordered to get involved yet, nor do we know if he's heading this way."

Shira glares at Photios after his comment...

"I just fucking ordered you ass hole. If they come you attack them, got it?"

The Captain is obviously annoyed.

Dimitri just shrugs, "I didn't say I wasn't going to execute him if he came this way, just commenting on the uselessness of badly controlled demons. If its bothering you so much, why don't you go hunt him down?"

Mephisto and the deevil To'ra'On stand next to Photios, and watch as Captain Shira scolds him.

"Don't mind the military types my friend... they are more concerned with chain of command that they forget there is much more to fighting a war..."
