Drano leads McCloud and Comartin to the other entrance where Cannon Fodder waited.

OOC: I need some detail on the terrain, and the entrance itself. Is the area round the entrance flat? How is the entrance situated to the ground? Is there a ramp that goes down?

Re: C9 : 3rd Platoon - Squad Four

It is flatlands in every direction for miles. The entrance to the facility is a hole in the ground, disguised by a door that looks like a rock. The hole is 20 feet wide, and 10 feet deep. There are bars, for climbing all the way down the 200ft hole...

The dropship lands next to the massive Cannon Fodder at the other facility's entrance. Amy opens the back door, and the three glitter boy armours walk out to meet Fodder.

Amy moves her dropship near the giant rock, at least she'll have some cover if something bad happens.  Then unable to just sit and wait she gets out to look down the hole herself.  "Wow... I hope this is just an escape route and its not meant for something to use regularly."

Drano surveyed the terrain and decided to make their position a little more defendable. “Comartin go down that hole, make sure that anything that comes up is on our side, if need be shoot first, and ask questions later.”

"Amy what weapons is your dropship outfitted with, as well as anything else that my be of use.”

Looking to the large dee-bee Drano re-affirmed his name before asking him to carry out a rather meager task. “Connon Fodder right?  Can you quickly dig several holes in the ground about the size of one of my Mecha? Dig a few large ones for yourself as well.”

"Cannon actually, and just tell me where you want the holes for your men."

“If at all possible I’d like to have two holes, 30 meters apart per each side of the entrance. Place the holes about 300 meters from the entrance. We have to be able to handle threats from both the entrance and the outside.” Drano decided not to press the point regarding the large bee-bee not making his own hole to fight from.

Re: C9 : 3rd Platoon - Squad Four

It is quiet... very quiet... and there is no sign of anybody or anything besides a horse, casually approaching from the south. Upon closer inspection the horse is saddled and has a few puches or sacks attached to the saddle. There is no visible rider in sight.

The horse stops every so often to eat some longer grass, but contunies generally towards Squad Five.

Drano spots the animal, while Cannon Fodder and McCloud dig the fox holes.

 - OOC - Anyone with telescopic sight will see the details, otherwise it is not much more than a speck.

“All units, be advised we have a lone horse approaching from the south.”

Drano a single shot from his boom gun at the lone horse, as usual with the TW modification the gun went off with a whisper.

Amy spots a massive Coalition force moving towards Squad Five's position from the South East. Over a hundred heavy combat robots, and armoured vehicles, accompanied by hundreds of skelebots. Hundreds of SAMAS and Sky Cycles fill the air above them.

They are well over the 100 kilometer range of Amy's patrol, and wont actually arrive for approximately an hour, unless some of them pick up the current speed.

Needless to say... this is bad. Especially for the squad ten decks down inside the facility...

Drano doesn’t state the obvious that in all likelihood some or all of those in Squad Four would die whittling down oncoming mass of CS troops. If those below ground hadn’t completed their mission by the time the CS force arrived then in all likelihood none of them would get out alive. In essence squad four would trade their lives to buy time for the rest of 3rd Platoon to complete their mission and or escape.

"Chromium Guardsman turn on your invisibility and we wait in our defensive positions, once the CS APCs are in range we open fire, aim low so that even your missed shots will hit something. When it gets too hot up here we go down into the bunker. I'll fire the first shot."

Re: C9 : 3rd Platoon - Squad Four

Drano ignored Cannon Fodder, and maintained radio silence, if he was willing to break his own order he would have told the mountain of a Dee-Bee that it didn’t matter who the CS force was coming after. They were coming for some reason or another and it didn’t matter why. The CS would without a doubt find 3rd Platoon once they went into the complex for whatever reasons they had.

Amy continues to fly a holding pattern watching the aproaching coalition forces, and her discrettion helps her decide most emphatically NOT to engage them.

The SAM squadron that passed by overhead a few minutes ago returns, passing in the opposite direction this time, heading towards the incoming Coalition force.

A radio transmission breaks into Pluto Company's frequency...

Drano merely listed to the radio broadcast from the CS forces. It was more of the same ‘Surrender or die’ rhetoric from the CS, well if today was Drano’s day to die, so be it.

Not bothering with the radio, McCloud snarls over his external speaker, "Bring it on, dead boys..."

Arthur pokes his head up from the hole in the ground after climbing up the ladder.

"We may need some help down here... we walked into a bug nest of Xiticix... looks like 1 or 2 are already dead, 3 more pinned down... we got grunts down there too... on the other side of the bugs..."

He takes a moment to take in the beauty of the Glitter Boys... remembering his old suit... stolen from him by Arven and his band of cut throats...

OOC: Is Arther using the radio? or his PA's loudspeaker?

OOC - just calling out to whomever is closest. I believe Comartin was originally stationed right at the hole.

Picking up the ask for help through his external microphone, Drano responds by picking up a rock and throwing it at Comartin Guardsmen. Once he has gotten Comartin’s attention Drano points to the Arthur then points down, indicating that he should go with Arthur.

Re: C9 : 3rd Platoon - Squad Four

They don't get far, before coming back to the surface, Arthur as well. The sounds of a hundred Xiticix screeching, companied with explosives and gun fire grows louder. The rest of squad Three follows Arthur to the surface as they retreat frm a swarm of Xiticix.

This htread will be closed, at least for now. You may all post in Squad 3. Naturally Drano will be in charge over Silvermasque should it come to that.
