Re: Chapter Eleven : They Were Expendable

Mephisto moves in to check on Thasha but really investigates Dragana's and Theodore's bodies for any magical loot. "What about the prisoners?" Referring to the two humans who surrendered at the beginning of the fight, and then were carpet of adhesioned, and magic netted. The nets disappeared when Van lost consciousness, and Photios will remove the carpet once proper plans have been made to bind the prisoners if that is the decision.

OOC -- Mephisto isn't looting yet, just looking...

Re: Chapter Eleven : They Were Expendable

Jack finished casting his spell and charged forward only to have to stop as Theodore was killed a few feet from him. "REALLY?!?!" Then he began laughing loudly. "Just like old times. Fight's over as I'm finally ready."

He gave a sigh and shook his head as he went to check on the strange one who'd run by him (Thasha). "Do you yet live?"

Na-Wa quickly approaches Silonar, which to everyone's surprise doesn't immediately eat Na-Wa as it runs up to him. The dimwitted psi-stalker quickly mounts the animal pats it on the head and directs it towards the bodies of some of the enemy dead. “Time to eat Silonar!”

To those who haven't seen it before, the dinosaur looks suspiciously like a juvenile T-Rex. Furthermore it is quite apparent that the dinosaur had emptied its bowels within the cargo compartment of the dropship.

Jack knelt down and looked the creature over. He looked badly hurt so Jack let out a sigh, murmuring about wasting more energy. He called out over the radio, "Is there a healer? This one seems to be dying!"

Drano made his way over to the hulk that was McCould mecha. The mecha’s operator was clearly dead, but the mecha itself might be repairable. At the least it could be used as spare parts and armor for him and Comartin.

McCloud was sliced open by a magic sword. His helmet, arms, legs and boom gun (along with equipment) are all in fine condition. His main body has been shot up, and sliced open with a sword, his torso was also sliced open by the sword, across the belly.

Re: Chapter Eleven : They Were Expendable

Nuitari waits several seconds for someone to respond to Jack's call for a healer  before he responds to Na - wa's announcement. In this time he dispels the tornado and the whirling clouds above quickly lose cohesion and return to normal.
"Na - Wa, if your pet takes a bite from the prisoners, I'll have you removed from this team.  That demon just metamorphed, can you still sense his presence nearby? Can you track him?"

Nuitari will activate the jets on his skiff and move the vehicle towards the wounded: Thasha and Lotus as quickly as he can.  Once he crosses the field, he speaks to those nearby and suggests a few courses of action. "Silvermasque, if you are ok, please see the prisoners are secured safely, take whoever you need.  Mephisto, if you have no healing magics, perhaps we can pool our energies for you to summon the necessary abilities.  Have you ever summoned a wing-tip? They are powerful psychics."

Re: Chapter Eleven : They Were Expendable

Lotus is still working on her tourniquette as the battle finishes.  She wraps a garrote wire, which was concealed in her vambrance, around her thigh pulls it as tight as she can without cutting through the fabric of her clothing.  Enhanced still by the superhuman strength spell she cast upon herself while facing the raksasha, the wire is quite tight.  "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHHHHHHHHAHHHHHHH" she screams in pain and flops on her back after the wound is securely tied.  She can feel she is starting to go into shock after a few moments and feels a shiver of cold up her spine.

Re: Chapter Eleven : They Were Expendable

Jack could do nothing for Thasha. His abilities in healing were limited to himself or to frailer creatures (SDC). "My apologies. I hope someone can help you soon....or that you die and go to whatever afterlife you believe in."

He stood up and looked down at his slightly damaged armor. "Ah, damnit." It would take a while to get back to where he could get it fixed likely.

In the mean time he began walking and looking for Lotus. "Where's that wonderful bitch, Lotus? I need to give her a HUG!" He grinned widely behind his demon-ram helmet.

Then he saw her. And he ran faster, faster than he usually could due to his Superhuman Speed still active. "C'mon, Lo. Hang in there." He immediately began to cast Heal Wounds on her.

Re: Chapter Eleven : They Were Expendable

The battle between Rakshasha and the cybernetic tiger blurs visibly as mage-blade and vibro-sword clash and send tortured sparks chasing down one anothers edges, but the fight seems to be going more or less 'Masque's way, his weapons striking home more often, albeit to far less effect, even his most powerful blows opening little more than long, painful gashes while the one clean strike the creature lands upon him shatters the remnant of his shield and opens a long, seared gash in his armour.

When it ends, suddenly and inconclusively he spins once, weapons held on guard as if expecting a trick only for the true state of the battlefield to become apparent. First off he acknowledges Nuitari's order with a swift "Prisoners, Da!" but he's already sheathing his weapons, underhandedly tossing a small black CS-issue box towards Jack and moving, heading past Disharmony where he pauses to look at her and rumble "Это было давно. Слишком долго. Ты хорошо выглядишь.", reaching out with one gauntleted hand to lightly touch the side of her jaw before he moves on to see to policing the field.

On his way past Thasha he adds his voice to calls out audibly (very audibly) "We are having wounded supernatural here. Healer, fast!" before continuing to collect the surrendered mages, who are each 'assisted' into  whatever the big tiger can find involving helmets he can spray-paint matt the viewing slits of (hard to cast spells when you can't see) and fine-wire wrist restraints (sure you can break out of them with raw force, and it'll only cost you 1D2 hands).

Re: Chapter Eleven : They Were Expendable

Mephisto chuckles at the idea of healing powers and replies to Nuitari "I think Photios is your man for that sir..."

Mephisto approaches Silvermasque while he binds the prisoners. Although both men declare their surrender, and promise not to do anything... Na-Wa confirms both of them as master psychics and one of them as also a magic-user.

Mephisto casts a total of 4 spells on the two prisoners while Masque ties them up. Force Bonds on each of them, making their binds effectively MDC material. As well as Trance on both of them. Both men are reduced to a zombie like state until Mephisto decides otherwise.

Hopper reports in that Van requires a medical kit as well. His body is badly burned. He and Amy remove the young wizard's exoskeleton, and secure him in one of the seats, but at least 25% of his flesh is gone, and he may not survive.

Photios was already on his way over to Lotus, but then went to Thasha after the others alerted he is dying. "I can heal everyone, it will just take a few minutes. We should get them onto the dropship!" Without waiting for a decision he began his first healing spell for Thasha.

After a few minutes, the wounded (Van, Thasha, Lotus) and the prisoners are loaded inside and Photios is inside with them working on healing spells. The dead and all of their gear have been loaded as well (along with the loot from Dragana, Theodore, the cyborg, the pilot-mage and the two prisoners to be sold and split evenly, unless anyone has issue).

Amy, Hopper, Mephisto, Dyvalis, Niles and Boris have all taken teir seats inside as well.

Re: Chapter Eleven : They Were Expendable

Nuitari is happy to see the deevil meat going to such a good cause as filling the belly of Na - Wa's "silonar", but will block him from feeding upon the bodies of any human or d-bee enemies. "Thay are not for eating. Am I clear?" Nuitari will state bluntly to the psistalker if the silonar approaches them.

As everything appears to be under control - the wounded being healed, the captured secured, and the dead being loaded, Nuitari picks up his radio.  "Good work, Pluto.  This was not an easy assignment, and I'm not talking about the battle.  Today we lost sons and daughters of Tolkeen and although I am grateful all of you are going to be ok, we need to acknowledge what has just transpired.  Captain Theodore Kitt, Lieutenant Dragana Kovacevic served Tolkeen for years before succumbing to temptation.  We cannot condone their actions and those of their followers, but they were our brothers and sisters.  Rest in peace........"

Nuitari leaves several seconds of dead air at the end of his small speech.  When everyone is ready to go, he turns his hover skiff towards Tolkeen and heads out with the team.  Anyone needing a ride can find metal bench seating on the skiff :)
