The return of 'Cut Me Own Throat' Dworkin.

Make certain you trip him before you start kicking.  Best time.  ^_^

Leonardo, I think you missed the POINT of this humble merchant. Do you really think he WOOD sell such items if he wasn't going to send everyone after the two of us. Still, this is an old move of his. I wish he would BRANCH off into something else for variety.

Re: Yet more OOC-ness

I doubt I'll be on the tables for a while. I'm still wallowing around in the primordial ooze of the character creation vats, for now. I can assure that I'm not too ambitious as far as League Tables are concerned, to not draw too much attention to myself.

See, I'm actually rather new to Amber, the universe and the system. Well, I read 1/2 of a book and the ADRPG a decade ago. So, until I get things sorted I plan to be the closest thing to a Lurker that a player can be-- Of course, Dworkin will never allow that. I'm sure you'll all be nice and not take advantage of my ignorance.

Poot.  :(

Welcome, though! :)

ANOTHER player!  Wow - we're just stacked with them now!

.....

More for Dworkin to kill in horrible, sadistic ways have fun with, I suppose.

Nice portrait! :)

Re: Yet more OOC-ness

Welcome Dorian, don't worry about your knowledge of Amber... there are other PCs who are not particularly well informed themselves and others who are nice enough to fill in the blanks.... of course there are a few who will turn you into their tool at the drop of a hat but then that's where the fun is!  lol ;)

It will be interesting to see where the Big D decides to introduce your PC into the current storylines.

Thanks! I was drawn to the creepiness of it. It seemed to fit, somehow.

It does.  See, it's black and white.

Hence, we're discussing the Portrait of Dorian, grey.

[falls over laughing]

Okay, not that funny.  ^_^

Well when I first saw the name Dorian... I have to admit that I was tempted to make a Dorian Grey comment.  ;)

Still... you never know what Amberites, I mean I could definitely see a Dorian Grey like character fitting right in with the Amber set.

Especially if he had high Endurance or an Artifact that allowed rapid healing (and possibly Resistance)... I mean Dorian's big thing was being immune to aging and harm from normal sources right?

Maybe his picture was actually some sort of unqiue Trump?  One with a direct connection to its owner so that harm to one caused harm to the other.

It occurs to me that we've run out of spaces on our little chaos wheel on the website.

Musical chairs, apparantly.

Ahh... then I must REALLY be off the mark!  lol ;)

Anytime an Amber PC says that all his secrets have been revealed... you know you've barely scratched the surface!  ;)

"How can you tell when an Amberite is lying?"
"His lips move."

Yikes! So much for not drawing attention to myself. I wasn't expecting that. Well, this is my first Amber character, so its kind of like throwing darts at a dart board.

Holy cow!  O_O

Wasn't Andrej ahead of Aaron, earlier, or did I misread that?

In any case, wow.  Good going, Dorian.  First in Endurance, Second in Psyche, and Sixth in Warfare (I think).  Force with which to be reckoned!

The fly with the huge, pulsing brain, and tough as old leather... :)

Not to worry - I'm not expecting any Character vs Character conflict, beyond barbed words.

I mean...a couple of years of gaming, and one fight between characters.

Maybe it's the optomist in me, but I can hope for that.  One fight every couple of years, a broken nose, nobody killed.  :)

Aaron's nose is starting to look like Jackie Chan's, I bet.  ^_^

Actually, I wasn't really expecting more than that, but it's good to hear, anyway. The results did surprise me, though.

I keep hoping to avoid the Character versus Character conflict, anyway.  :)

I'd like to see some of Aaron's nose stunts.  Does he have bloopers, too?

Ugh.  ^_^
