Yet more OOC-ness

The other was getting a tad cumbersome, so I decided we should have a new one.

Anyway, I have updated the web page for everybody with new pictures, and I have also updated ALL the PC Trumps that I have.  Some have new images, (thanks, Jack :) ) while others have merely been trimmed to fit into a standard format, so they look more like a Trump Deck.

There is also a link on the PC page to a Trump Gallery, which shows all of them on one page, complete with gaps for the ones I don't have yet (hello Jack :D ).

Enjoy  :)

The good thing is I have found one for Andrej. . . What size should I trim it to and I’ll send it over when I get the chance.

225 x 330 is the size I'm using, but anything over that I can trim myself.  You find 'em, I'll format 'em.  ;)

I forgive myself missing the first OOC post, because I was out celebrating!

My household has once again achieved D.I.N.K. status!  Dual-Income, No Kids! :)

Now, off to look at the website! :)

I keep looking at that description you gave us, Dworkin, and feel that Cyan will lean around the corner to see what's there, and...

Oh, look.  It's Smaug.  Curled up around the orb.

Re: Yet more OOC-ness

Well somehow I am not surprised that I've been beaten to a new OOC by both Jack and Cyan! ;)

Still maybe I can make my mark here before the others arrive.

As for Smaug... remember to aim for the soft spot on the belly! ;)

Actually speaking of fire-breathing dragons... I think that would be one case where having the 4 point Resistance to Everything kind of armor would actually come in handy (since it defends against energy attacks which I assume fire would be under).

Of course the Red glow could just be coming from the nose of a certain harmless reindeer!?  ;)

I’m not venturing a guess, but I can’t wait to see what’s going on here!

Somehow I think with Jacks reaction to it the threat is not Physical. Somehow right now I feel like Aaron going to examine the glowing blast crater. On the edge of my seat.

Who’s going to walk the Broken Pattern with me to Examine the orb?

PROBABLY not physical.  Worse if it's Physical AND psychic.  Ugh.  :(

Other than that, who knows?  :)

And yet, we rest on the cusp of discovery....

Hello Big D... so were you cut off from Rpol yesterday as well?  I couldn't log on from about 3PM to about 12AM... and I realized just how adicted to this site I have become.  It was scary undergoing Rpol withdrawl!  lol ;)

I got stuffed out of RPOL yesterday, also. I don't like it when that happens.
It makes me, honest to god, bleed. Violently. From the eyes.

Great update for the site, Ron! :D

Edit: Gotta say also, your Trump's pretty damn sweet, Jack. :P

Re: Yet more OOC-ness

I was, regrettably, cut off from Rpol as well.  Any news on that?  I'm really busy today, and might not be able to check the site and my personal messages. :(  Just wanted to get that post in, so Jack can continue for at least one more!

My apologies, Kaelyn.  I must have missed something, because I can't see a relationship between the orb and Tweety Bird.

Re: Yet more OOC-ness

Well Cyan I don't think Kaelyn was actually comparing the Tweety Bird to the Orb (though if one can make a comparison between Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer to the Ord's red glow??)... at least that isn't how I took it.

More like how Tweety would go through the routine of seeing the "pussy cat" (and of course the orb is a threat in many ways as Sylvester was)... but with no resolution (ie. the cusp).

On a different note Big D.. while I think your work in making the pictures more Trump-like is quite good... I do think that some of the feeling/impact is lost as much of thr background is lost.  I know that for Leonardo's Trump in particular... the loss of the context of the surrounding horror/suspicion/mystery in the background does make the Trump image less effective in my mind.  The painter himself is only somewhat close in likeness... but it was the events going around both in the live background and the paintings which really captured Leon's essence to my mind.

Still they do look more like Trump Cards now and it's a nice border you have put around them.  ;)

Re: Yet more OOC-ness

Actually, I was referring to 'Tweety Bird' as the cartoon in general, rather than the specific character...I comprehend the reference.

I suppose it would help if I liked the cartoon.  I suspect the 'Orb as Sylvester' reference would not have gone over my head.

Re: Yet more OOC-ness

Well humor is a fickle thing... I think Kaelyn was just having a bit of fun.

I suppose some might see it as silly but I actually thought it was kind of funny... to each his (or her) own I guess.   ;)

I don't think it was meant to be really taken this seriously though.

As for the actual cartoon... I think it is one of those "love it or hate it" kind of things.  I remember as a little kid not liking the Roadrunner cartoons (and in fact I still dislike the Roadrunner character... I always hope in vain that the Coyote will finally get that damned annoying bird this time! lol ;)

However as I got older I began to enjoy the crazy Acme products and the devious "Genius" of the Coyote which always failed... but usually do to some spectacular failure in equipment.

I still think Bugs is the best of the lot (at least among the old set of characters)... though Bugs with Daffy can be pretty good.  I especially like the various Opera Set Pieces which Loony Tunes would often run with Bugs.

Looney Tunes became the first place that I heard much of the classic Classical pieces of music when I was a kid! ;)  I remember hearing them later and saying "Now why does that sound so familiar?" ;)

Re: Yet more OOC-ness

Ah... toons.  *gazes fondly at his WB videos*

Roadrunner cartoons are the best, but purely for Coyote's schemes.  The Roadrunner himself has no real charm...

Daffy Duck is also a favourite.
Who can forget the sheer madness of "Duck Dodgers, in the 24½th Century"?

Sylvester is up there too, especially the episodes where he constantly fails to impress his son.

And of course Bugs, but that goes without saying, really...

Of the minor characters... Yosemite Sam and the Tasmanian Devil stick in my mind, and it was good to see Taz get his own TV show in later years.

Oh yes!  I love Duck Dodgers... especially when he goes up against Marvin the Martian (another favorite of mine! ;)

I like when Porky Pig plays the sidekick who keeps ridiculing Daffy's plans.

I also agree that the best Sylverster stories are where he's with his son.  The famous ones of course being where the kangaroo escapes.  His son keeps seeing the mouse, Sylvester goes in and gets beaten up by the 'roo and then talks about this "HUGE MOUSE"... and his son walks away in shame.  lol ;)

Re: Yet more OOC-ness

Especially since you don't appreciate a good tweety bird. :)

I like the old WB cartoons, they are classics.

Will Aaron just accept any trump contact that comes his way, esp that just conveniently comes the day after he left his old shadow? Will it be Cyan? Will it be someone else and Cyan gets a busy signal?  Will Leonardo go on a date with Tarquin? Will Jack dance the broken pattern with Berd? Will our four fearless agents get arrested in the lynch mob by the message board?

For these questions and others, stay tuned for more "As Amber turns"

Hmm... at least it could have been "Shadows of Our Lives"  ;)

Tarquin turns out to be Simon's long lost dad, Berd has been having an affair with Jack behind Cyan's back, Jonnee is really Fiona's love child, Kaelyn starts an affair with the military officer "for the good of Amber", Andrej and James have to plan a daring rescue of the captured Amber man, Aaron discovers that Chrissie is pregnant with Dworkin's child.... find out more in this week's copy of "Amber Opera Digest"!

LOL ;)

Oh at these prices, they're "to die for".  If I buy them in gross, I'll "make a killing"!  But with my budget, I'll have to be careful to "stick" with just these items.  Still they do look "sharp".
