Just so I'm clear on the visualizing, Jonnee... Is that one blade from each wrist, or two blades from each wrist?

Serena is finding all this very interesting...actually so am I:) Trying to formulate my story so it isn't too long or too short ;)

One from each wrist.  Laying flat across the tops of the knuckles, not like Wolverine's, which stand on edge.  :o)

Yeah, that's pretty sharp, Cyan.  :-P

Re: Another mess o' that good ol' OOC stuff.

So...Jonnee has...jeez, what did they used to call them in CP 2020?  Not rippers or wolvers.  They were from one of the supplements.

Yikes.

You're making me edgy, Jonnee.  :P

If I remember correctly (oh so many years ago) rippers were the long fingernails and wolvers were closer to what Jonnee sports.

Re: Another mess o' that good ol' OOC stuff.

There's another one.  In one of the supplements, one of the CP 2020 magazines that came out.  Wolvers looked like Wolverine's blades, from the Xmen thing.  Rippers were the extendable fingerblades, like the girl he fought in Xmen 2.  Scratchers were just supersharp fingernails.

But there was another one from one of the official supplements that was a single, flat blade that came out from the back of your wrist, about a foot and a half long.  You could get a carboglas version, so it would be 'mono'.  :(  I can't remember the name!  And I threw out all my CP 2020 stuff, years ago!

Arrgh.  Maybe I have it in my old game box, at home.  I'll have a look tonight.  :)

In case anyone is interested....

The grip, guard, and pommel actually look more like this (Kriscutlery's OLD Gim - they went and changed it), and obviously in brass.

If anyone actually practices with live steel, I reccomend this place (if you're not looking to spend $10 000 on an old Katana).  The weapons are hand forged, real steel, real sharp, well-balanced, and without any of the 'fanciness' (dragon heads, etc) you see on some wall-hangers.  I own one of their older Gims, and I plan on purchasing a few things for my Arnis practice.

Cyan, I believe you're referring to the BigRipp™ which appeared in Interface magazine, Volume 1, Issue 1.

It was reprinted in Chromebook 4, together with an alternative version in which the blade lay along the entire outer edge of the forearm, making for particularly nasty forearm smashes.

Re: Another mess o' that good ol' OOC stuff.

THAT'S the one!  :)

Interface, yes.  You still have those lying around, Dworkin?  :)  I loved CP 2020 - reffed a tabletop game for about 3 years, reffed a few others, played in a couple... :)  Ugly game, but a good one.  Despite the rather broken rules, in some cases.  :)

I will now put myself on Hold, in game.  :)  [sits on Berd]

Re: Another mess o' that good ol' OOC stuff.

I have both Cyberpunk and Cyberpunk 2.0.2.0. plus tons of supplements and adventures for both.  As for Interface, I have the first six issues, maybe that's all of them, I never could get any more after that :(, plus a couple of issues of a European-published mag called Punk '21.

I also have some CyberGeneration stuff, but I never really liked that.

Wow. It's a good thing I decided to do some reading back, I had forgotten someone gave Dorian some information about his father along the way.

Dorian didn't say more this time than he did originally, I don't think, about possibly being from Amber and doing this as part of that.

Hmm... strange how that button has accumulated so little dust compared to all the others...

Oh come now, Ron. Everyone knows that without me, you'd begin to suffer from a complete and violent case of sadomasochistic withdrawal. :P

After all, the only person here who can torture Aaron better than Aaron, is Dworkin. He's the one who lights the fire, I'm the one who provides the logs. :)
