Well you certainly wouldn't have wanted a naked load  :)

I haven't worked properly since the start of June -  half the time I don't even know what day it is   -  It will be nice to get a bit of structure back into my life  :)

Re: Deck Plan

Depends on the load, perhaps...  ;)

I know what you mean, work do help structure things up, as well as make time online etc more precious since you cannot go on just any time any more.

Re: Deck Plan

Hi peeps, sorry for my long absence. Unfortunately I’m not sure when, if ever, I can resume anything like normal posting  here on RPoL, certainly not before the new year.

Please feel free to do what you will with any of my characters and I’m happy for games I had been running to be handed over to anyone else, otherwise they will just be left to be automatically deleted when their allotted time is up.

Good luck to everyone, I hope I’ll be back eventually.
Cheers, alphapred

Yes, bummer.  Been playing with you for a long time, since early on joining RPoL I think (the original Profit Margin and other games), so hope to see you back, Pred.  Take care.

Re: Deck Plan

Yes, that's it.  Game Over, I'm afraid.

The other monks, back at the Abbey, will assume that one of their brethren went into space while fully conscious, beheld the face of Tsort, and brought destruction on themselves.

This will provide them with the impetus to spread Tsortian doctrine to the stars much more energetically than they have previously, converting hundreds, then thousands, and finally millions of sentients to their religion (and, in the case of some over-zealous monks, converting several non-sentients, and the occasional pretty rock).

In about the year 1640 of the Third Imperium, they will gain the Emperor as a convert, and start an Inquisition.  Shortly after, armed with an Imperial Warrant, the head of the Church of Tsort will declare a Jihad against those who do not follow the faith and, after four hundred years of interstellar war, the Imperium will slide into a new dark age...

On the plus side, the crew of Profit Margin have done what many players wish their characters could do - their actions will have a major (and lasting) effect on the game's Universe.  Their final Jump will become the subject of scores of books, and form the basis of major studies, speculation, and debates for as long as people can still read those books.  After which they will become the basis of barbarian camp fires, for as long as libraries still have all that paper laying around.

Well done, and thank you all.  Help yourself to coffee and a bun on the way out.

Bye.

...

Er... no.  I meant to start a new thread last night, but ran out of time.  I will do something shortly.

Re: Deck Plan

Ha!  Knew you were fibbin', 'cause you forgot to mention the Goddess of War and Beauty, Yas, with her polar opposite (and lover) James the Clockwork Butler, plus all the minor deities such as Jago the Round, god of Traders and Odd Artifacts, Saskia the Sassy, goddess of Talking To Inanimate Objects and Bare Feet, Sushi the Benevolent, goddess of Pills and Dessert, Tylen the Itchy, god of the Big Gun and Snoopers, Conrad and Ash, the twin gods of Those Who Gets Lost and Messages, Corlan, the God of Tagging Along and of course the Evil One That Drools and Chases Anything Remotely Feminine, be it a rock or anything, the Cast Out Devil known as Ridge the Bloody Rude Dude (although this one is banned in most of the Multiverse).

Or did I dream that last night?

I'm not dead!  I knew the power plant was still safe.

Even after I sold off all the failsafe components so I could buy that fur coat.

Hey, we're getting close to the post limit!  Give us a new thread.

Whoops -  just looked at the plans of the ship and realised that Tylen should just have opened the door and swung his chair around.  My apologies folks.

I will rewrite the first post so he is coming from his state room -  which should more or less fit with the other posts  :)

...arrgh.  Which means it doesn't make sense that Shui would wonder about his instrumentation.  Poot.  *heads off to edit*

I hope Jago didn't overhear my comment about selling the power plant components.  If he shouts at me, I'll just have to get Yas to shoot him.

In the money belt, so it will frelling hurt.

Happy New Year!

As the subject says, Happy New Year, everyone!

Looking forward to RPing with all of you in 2010 (and beyond, hopefully)...

Oh, and maybe the Traveller Referee will give us a new OOC thread to ring in the new year (this should be the 980th in the thread) ... ;)
